    As a Muslim I can totally agree with not only the wonderful technique that Paul has but the power behind the word of the Lord. God bless you Paul, your family friends and if we don’t meet in this world may we meet it the life that lasts forever, in the garden as wide as the heavens. Peace and blessings ❤️

    Truly honored and blessed to have had the opportunity to meet Paul in person. Dana & Sarah, thank you for taking the time to capture Paul's spirit and gift of knowledge for all to learn from.

    I'm not religious but gardening, especially directly in the earth really makes you feel at home in nature, and humbles you. This is a great, well shot video

    Thank God for this I’m getting old and have a small yard but this has been most helpful in how to use the small space.

    I saw this film at the beginning of the pandemic and found it so beautiful and comforting. I look forward to watching it again and one day, building my own Garden of Eden. Thanks so much for sharing.

    I just love to see a nature documentary where it's not always this evolved to do this to do that, but instead God designed it. LOVE IT!

    I hope you see this. I Have a question?
    I have raised beds filled with cow manure, mushroom compost, then top with hay. I want to turn to using wood chips. I am thinking instead of doing a fall garden once my summer garden has yield all it is going to I would just let my soil rest and add the wood chips. All the above came from Lowe’s. I also have used fertilizers which was organic like blood meal, fish meal and bone meal. I also have used Neemin oil.
    Should I empty my beds and start over our just start adding wood chips. Would all the bad stuff disappear after time?
    I am in an HOA community and have a pond behind my house that gets treated with chemicals that concerns me but not much I can do about it.
    I started this because of pre cancer cells. I am praying God healing comes from changing the way I eat.

    So if you want to tear out part of grass lawn to garden, do you take the grass out first and then top with wood chips, or can you put the chips right on top of the grass to start the process of soil enrichment? Will it break down the grass quickly enough?

    Nutrient science. All living things require it. It's not about "fertilizing". It's about nutrient management in the soil/medium complex. Same science.

    Interesting, many principles depicted on this video are used in
    Permaculture,
    Agroforestry,
    Syntropic Farming.
    its all about creating a Garden of Eden !

      @@danasarahfilms Yes, i feel sad when people resort to industrialized goods to do Gardening/Farming, when it's all in nature and most of the time is free ! from the worms to the mulch, from the vegetable natural fertilizer to the compost, from the plant that repels insects or snails to the plant that repels rats and snakes ! its very hard to explain to people that there is another way!

    11:07 Woodchips are the best covering...BUT...there were no mechanical wood chippers in Eden...SO... how do wood chips occur naturally?...

    • @lostregeneration861
      @lostregeneration861 3 роки тому +37

      There are wood chippers in nature. Woodpeckers, termites, arthropods, animals scratching themselves against bark or breaking off branches (like elephants), the wind etc. They're all mechanically breaking the wood. It's just the petrol/electric chippers do it faster/more uniformly

    • @k.n.001

      Trees fall in nature all the time, from storms to old age and diseased. Once fallen, they start to slowly decompose just as wood chips.

    • @danasarahfilms
      @danasarahfilms  3 роки тому +59

      Wood chips occur in nature when debris of leaves, branches and bark naturally fall on the forest floor and break down into rich top-soil.

    Pondering...If topsoil is lost 9:21 in one area, isn't it gained in another? OR is it washed into the sea?...

    • @joshemerson2450
      @joshemerson2450 3 роки тому +22

      There is soil and there is dirt. Most think they are the same but soil is the living organism referenced in this video. When top soil is "lost" that is generally referring to the compaction and death of the soil rendering the lifeless macro components of dirt (clay, silth, sand).

    Thanks for great information! This sounds too easy, so i have few questions on my mind.
    What kind of woodchips you are using? Size matters?
    Is it so easy that i have to just lay down some own cutted woodchips and soil gets better?
