These would look awesome in my reptile vivariums. I know the great stuff is safe and all but I am unsure of the paint/stain. I use silicon without mold resist so, I am thinking maybe if that sealer seals everything well. I am just not sure though.
I wouldn't use the paints or stain I did in a vivarium or bioactive setup. I'd stick to the silicone coated in coconut fiber, sand and moss. I have a big 60 gallon bioactive setup for an anole.

An afternoon to tie the 4 ropes with twine, another to coat with Great Stuff and let it set and about 4 hours to paint each one. (Drying time between colors) The stain has to set for a day or so, then you can clear coat with the Gorilla patch and seal. It's not a super quick project, but it's a pretty simple one.
I used a big spool of garden twine that was given to me last summer. It's pretty generically labeled. Any "fuzzy" twine made from natural fibers should work just fine.
Great Stuff in flip Flops, you are brave
Excellent tutorial video, awesome finished prop.
Beautiful vines. Pretty labor intensive, but you wind up with very realistic vines. Thanks for sharing this.
Great work! Love the technique. Thanks for sharing.
This is super cool. I've missed a number of your videos, much to my detriment.
You are a brave man dealing with great stuff and wearing shorts. Nice job.

Now your making me want to make vines. It would look great for our theme this year. Great tutorial.
Thanks! I followed your instructions and they came out amazing.
Glad I could help!
Very realistic looking and great with the headstone and pumpkins!

Definitely feels wrong lol. Turns the rubber gloves into mittens after a while too.
Whoa, they do look real. I don't know how you come up with your ideas, but keep 'em comin'!

kite gum glue
What is that? Is it weatherproof? These are meant to be outside for weeks at a time and get rained on and lots of sun on them.
You’re using jute twine, right?
