- Dommaraju Gukesh etched his name in history as the youngest-ever contender for the chess world title, triumphing in the Candidate’s tournament held in Toronto, Canada, on Sunday. He joins the ranks of the legendary Viswanathan Anand as the second Indian to clinch victory in the Candidates tournament. Gukesh is now poised to challenge the reigning world title holder, Ding Liren of China, later this year.
