As another person asked about this video can this be done with two rear jack stands or is four necessary? Your video is very sic however the hatch VS sedan looks like there is more clearance in the hatch. Maybe I'm wrong.
Ok possibly dumb question here can you put the spacers over the stud if the the studs don't come out? Like nuts come off slap the spacers over it and screw nuts back on type. Or do the studs have to come out?
I did both installs today my studs didn’t come out so I just lightly tapped each one in then tightened to 50 ft lb. Had to use a jack to raise the diff just slightly
The downside could be greater wear on your transmission, because part of the reason for this system is to allow movement when the transmission goes into gear. A manual transmission may be okay for this, but automatic Subarus should definitely avoid this mod because of the nature of the change in transmission position based on the gears.
+FRESH_WRX I followed your instructions but I cannot for the life of me get the differential bracket bushings to sit even. Any advice or a way for me to PM you some pictures??
Also, excellent video! Definitely doing these and the subframe lockdown. Some of the best install videos I've seen. Thank you!
***** thanks for the excellent videos!
Very well made video. Much appreciated! Have this kit sitting at the foot of my bed. I'll definitely use this video for the install.
Now THAT'S how ya make a video!!!! I'm doing this ASAP!! Thanks man.

why do you want to avoid the center pinch weld when using the axle stand?
Great video. Very informative.
Nice video. Wondering. Did the subframe lockdown add any unwanted NVH?
Hey man, just created my own channel and came across yours. Great video, liked and subscribed! Just wondering what kind of a difference these made?
Why does it need to be on 4 jack stands? Can't it just be the rear thats on jack stands?
Solid question I was wondering the same.
@@thehobbydaddy ah ok thank you for the response sir. I was wondering if it was to relieve pressure on the backend.
Wrote to perrin about this and the response was four jack stands or a lift is needed to take the weight off the wheels to remove rear diff bolts.
What is the downside of this ? Greater mechanical stress to the differential ? Why was it made so "loose" from the factory designed by the engineers ?
Comfort and reduced NHV
Correct and...compliance and reduced NVH.

Cool video!!! I'll be using this video to install them sometime next week in my 2016 STi. Check out my channel and ride. I'm a newbie to this.
