Jules, you smooth pebble of a man: thank you so much for featuring our lil' game! Proud that Lil' Guardsman made your list!!!
Oh wow thank you for swinging by! You've made a great game and I can't wait to see what's next!
I always love the writing, delivery, production, etc., Jules. Thanks for splitting off and creating FGS where you have the freedom to do these lists your way. Quite a few games in this one I'm ultimately going to pick up, so it's much appreciated.
Well, @popjorts7666 said it best 👍🏼 Thanks Jules n the FGS crew
Any mention of Steambot Chronicles makes me extremely happy!❤
Automatic thumbs up for Steambot Chronicles!
as a gamer who loves a cozy game between others, i feel seeeeeen
So glad to see Steambot Chronicles on the list.
Although, I'm suprised you didn't mention the amazingly beautiful music, or that the voice cast was pretty stacked since it included Yuri Lowenthal and Wendee Lee.
Psyched to see Jules's take on cozy games since I suggested a similar topic for Tues Your Own Adventure pretty recently and it's perfect timing on a rainy day where I feel like I'm coming down with a cold. Love the shirt too since purple and turquoise were the colors for my wedding last weekend! ❤
Congratulations 🎉
Still got Steampunk Chronicles on a shelf. Hadn't thought of it in a while. I remember good times. Building up the mech was fun.
Thank god you still have a copy, since it sells for a PREMIUM these days.
Hell, the local game shop here had a copy for over $200 last time I was in there...
@@eddmario damn. Didn't think it was that rare, just obscure. Cool.
@@AvidCat5000 Luckily back in 2012 I was able to buy an unopened copy of the game from Atlus' website directly.
Thanks for doing a cozy games list!
I just bought lil guardsman! It looks awesome!
I didn't think I needed to see Jules doing his PC Plod impersonation, but I'm here for it.
Jules you glorious egg, you know what you should do next in opposition of this list? Games that are soul crushing to play but you should definitely experience. You know, games like This War of Mine or Fear & Hunger.
Your content is always amazing, Jules. I think you’re one of my top internet celebrities to watch. Thank you and your team for delivering such great videos!
Great music great games lovely dialogue!
Putting up some love for Viscera Cleanup Detail! I cannot begin to count the hours I’ve spent unwinding as the lowly janitor the day after the sci-fi action movie happened, mopping blood, stacking boxes & barrels (yea right, I just dispose of everything), and loading biological waste into the nearest furnace one human head at a time
It’s chill enough if you stay away from Bob
Definitely some new additions to my wishlist here, but sad to see Spirit of the North didn't make the list 💜
Honestly surprised that coffee talk wasn’t on here.
Definitely one of my favourite chill out games
I just tried Townscaper for the first time last night, but Tiny Glade looks even better!
I’ve got the perfect cozy game. And the pitch is wild.
Island Saver is a kids’ game. Made by a bank. It’s “educational” I guess? It’s an FPS where you clean islands of trash and pollution, while saving animals. Saving/cleaning gets you coins, which you deposit into your bank account to buy gear, pay off debts, and buy seeds. It’s also free on pretty much every store, so you don’t have to worry about wasting money. Worst comes to worse, you waste an hour of your life.
It's nice to hear Steambot Chronicles mentioned.
Another title that was recently released, but is very cute is "Little Kitty, Big City". You play an adorable black cat (reminds me of Princess Tiny, RIP), who is trying to get home after falling from their sleeping spot. More lighthearted than Stray, you just do normal cat stuff, like catch birds, knock stuff off of ledges, try to get people to pet you, ect. It is sweet and fun
Steambot Chronicles sounds exactly like a game created in the wake of Shenmue and Harvest Moon, and I want it.
Oh hell yes TWO Raw Fury games!!! Star Trucker too! ❤❤❤❤
Not gonna go on a huge diatribe, but thank you Jewelz. You're one of my favorite people on UA-cam and I'm glad you make content outside of Whatculture. Your messages at the end of videos genuinely speak to me and are very touching. But the last year or so, Whatculture Gaming has just been all about the negatives. "Worst" this "Most annoying" that. I just wanna celebrate games man. You rock, I'm glad I heard about this channel. Keep on keeping on brother.
Bumpy Trot sounds like a british euphemism for something naughty.
Thank you. You can talk about anything and I’d watch.
List game on the description!
I LOVED Steambot Chronicles! That game is such a hidden gem. Absolutely needs revisiting, and definitely deserves bigger exposure.
Yay! I have a bunch of new cozy games to check out now! Some of my recent favorites have been Mineko's Night Market and Potion Permit. Lil' Guardsman and Tiny Glade look really nice. Farewell North looks absolutely beautiful, but I'd have to look it up on 'Does The Dog Die' before I try it.
Eta: Steambot Chronicles lools so unique and apparently most of the comment section here loves it, so I definitely want to give that one a try too. ❤
I loved Steambot Chronicles! I wish I could play it again. 😢
I would recommend Endless Ocean: Blue World, where you just swim around, look at and interact with various marine animals, and Little Inferno, where you burn things in a fireplace.
Yayyy our lovely Townscaper! ❤❤❤
I'm more of a narrative RPG guy but I definitely want to try all these games! Thank you!😊
jules: [every entry]
me: hmm... [clicks "add to wishlist" on steam]
i subscribed as soon as i saw you were here you and psy are my favourite presenters at what culture
I love cozy games! Cat Cafe Manager has been a recent favorite
As far as cozy games go "Islanders" on steam. Hands down my top cozy game of all time. Absolutely beautiful and chill game. Helped me get through lockdown without succumbing to depression with all going on outside in those awful months. Even managed to convince my non gaming wife to play it and she really liked that game.
Great video Jules! Gotta love a video where we get two games in each entry, crushing it!
Children Of Sky the follow up to Journey was also brilliant and there's a sequel that may or may not be out yet to that too.
It is now my own personal head canon that Jules' father did the voice for the guardsmen from the first Fable game. I will not be taking questions, at this time.
Didnt know you had another channel keep up the good work man
Cozy game with a little more action is Figment. Awesome soundtrack and a great story. Fun puzzles and combat is pretty chill. Great game. Haven’t played Figment 2 yet, but they’re both on sale right now for Switch.
Nice to see you in 2 places Jules. Love the channel.
Lovely video mate
Chulip had quirky appeal but it was frustrating as hell since figuring out some of the puzzles could be quite hard (with out a guide) and doing just about anything wrong will usually result in most of your life gone if not an instant KO. Steambot Chronicles was a joy to play though. Playing in a band was never so much fun as well as mech battles. Too bad the long rumored sequel ultimately got cancelled.
Gris also fits the themes of the no.2 entry.
So glad you talked about Chulip, tis a hidden PS2 gem for sure
Jules you are a top fella
steam bot chronicles was a really good game.
ABZU is an awesome relaxing game, everyone should play is game for an easy, relaxing time,
Little guardsmen seems like a game that I would enjoy on my ps4 considering I always wanted to try papers please
Saving this list for the first 2 games so i can use it to build my fictional world im writing
Well done!
Haha one of the first games I have played was a fromsoftware co-op puzzle game call "the adventures of cookie and cream "I don't know why cozy armoured core made me think of that game with cute characters
Lil' Guardsman it's a really great Game and very Funny, more Gamers should play it.
Oddly, Pokemon is my chill game. I just walk around looking for mons to catch. Challenge a few trainers to a low stakes match, maybe take a bigger challenge occasionally.
Spaceland. Basically a cutesy and much more forgiving version of X-Com. Definitely need to track down a copy of Bumpy Trot. 👍
Just lost 7 competitive games in a row (valorant)😢hope these games help me relax…
Thank you Jules, thank you…
The mech one makes me think of MS Saga on the playstation 2 which was an open world RPG meets trails of cold steel.
The my time at games are also good cozy games to play.... same with a few others like song of the evertree
Space!!! Lolz
Really happy that Steambot Chronicles mentioned...
really hope for somehow cancelled Steambot 2 gonna came out
Unfortunately, I doubt that the original version of SC2 will ever come out, since the reason it was cancelled was because the Fukishima disaster ended up destroying all progress made on the game's development.
I do hope that eventually Atlus does a remake of the first game though.
@@eddmario True. I read somewhere Granzella interested in making SC 2 tho, but only after they remade SC, so I'm just being really hopeful
Love this list but as a steamboat chronicles fan I must say for anyone trying to play it, ITS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND. It's not on ps plus. It's not in the digital store. It only came out on PS2 and PSP. Physical copies go for HUNDREDS. I borrowed it from a friend as a kid and loved it but had to give it back. My friend sold it and I've been searching for it in secondhand stores and thrift shops ever since.
Just FYI, the PSP game is actually a spinoff focused specifically on the combat.
Little Kitty, Big City
Ok maybe I missed something did Star Trucker come out....I have had it on my wishlist for a while...and still says 2024 for release date....my friend is a bit Euro Truck fan and have wanted to grab it for him :D Other than that lots of neat games I plan to check out.
I loved the list and I subscribed to your channel after this video. BUT how comes you dont have Princess Maker 2 on the list? Is it because that spoiled royal brat keeps running away? :D
What about Hardspace: Shipbreaker, or Graveyard Keeper?
If you like Stardew Valley etc...try Spiritfarer.
Lil is my spirt animal
Inkonbini just means inconvience store, dont quote me on that, i am not 100% sure, i just know conbini is convience store in Japanese, so inconbini would be inconvience..store?
