There wasn’t a lot else. I didn’t see a lot of the outside table matches which made it difficult to find the shots. Wasn’t sure I was going to be able to even make a video on this until Tuesday
Hello. Love your videos pal. I notice on many of your rail (or cushion) shots your cue is extended a great deal as opposed to making a bridge with your hand. I`ve noticed many of the great snooker players do this also which is contradictory to many instructional videos. Any thoughts about this? Thanks for the videos and keep up the good work.👍
Placing the cue on the cushion allows more levelling of the cue when you need to strike the lower side of the cue ball, which makes the pot a lot easier and enables better control of the cue ball.
im from south east england and I'm fairly new been playing once or so casually every other month but im looking to play more towards once a week if i can, so im in need of a cue, i know nothing really about cues and im looking to spend probably 50-75 for it hopefully coming with a case, then if i ever get proper serious or decent i can upgrade some point down the line. Is there any recommendations, im just looking for a quality for money guarantee. and there's not much information about beginners cues on youtube.
have you tried theV10 Taom chalk,? It is far superior to their earlier attempt's, no more grinding it in to get it to grip the layered tips...Oh on that topic cheers for the heads up about cue soul tips, i love them and will not use anything else rom now on, good by to those over priced hard as rock Kamui tips..
Would have liked to see you have a go at Judd's two-red pot at the end of the video. Regardless, thanks for what you're doing. Love this channel. Cheers
Break from life, I notice you always seem to get these difficult shots after about 3-7 attempts, implying that you're very quickly learning from your mistakes and correcting. Just imagine if your memory lasted forever, then you would remember from your practice mistakes and be able to play these shots first time in matches.
Not trying to criticise for the sake of it. The content of all your videos are great and I take all of the information on board when I'm practicing. Just thought I'd mentioned your voice in the at the table shots seemed quieter on this one. Surprised you haven't invested in a wireless lav mic into the camera or a little lav mic recorder in your back pocket. Even a lav mic into your phone would work. Voice-over parts sound great though.
It’s something I’m looking at. Was mostly just the first clip where I speak that went mega quiet for reasons I don’t fully understand. But am trying to get a new camera set up and that will give me Bluetooth microphone support
If the ball is rolling back after a slight contact it's possibly because someone is banging the balls onto the spots when replacing them. That's why referee's place the ball near the spots and roll them onto the spots
Rolling the balls back to spot surely helps lengthen the life of the cloth. I'm sure he knows this so I tend to think the dented spot is the result of prolonged use for training and practices.
The shot with the rest in a weird place - it seems you could rotate the rest (handle further away from your body, tip stays right near the cushion) to get the queue where you want. Why do snooker players not like this? I remember a time where the spider(?) was used laying on the side, because it was crooked. Could anyone explain why that matters? It's just a fulcrum for the queue, it shouldn't matter where it is.
Alan from Worthing, West Sussex One day I'll either make it to that map or have at least some level of dignity whilst playing snooker, whichever comes first..
Big fan of your videos mate , click as soon as I see , but I have to say I’m not a fan of the fast forwarding/speeding up of the shot recreations. No criticism intended , I love your channel !
Is it just the hole on the black spot that's wrong with your cloth mate? Probably not worth getting it reclothed if it is just that 1 thing wrong with it
Any shot where you risk hitting loads of balls and having to reset the ball positions, why don’t you just have the red on the table you need to pot (or 2 balls for a plant) and add the rest of the balls in post with video editing? As long as you don’t have to smash into any other balls no one would notice.
Probably get this all the time, but are you related to the slightly more famous Judd?? He also likes to get in first in frames, and finish first in tournaments. All the best 👍🏻😂

Hi from Gibraltar!
Last video I commented and got the Break from life loved your comment and I thought I'd be on the map but sadly for me it wasn't to be.
It is difficult as I basically look for the first comments I find when I am making that part of the video

@@CueBald hi mate not yet. Only 18 just getting into the game. Where you from bud.
@@josephcarter271 you should join a team if you're getting into the game. Cues and Kinmel Bay Club have a few teams in the league.

If the ball is rolling back after a slight contact it's possibly because someone is banging the balls onto the spots when replacing them. That's why referee's place the ball near the spots and roll them onto the spots
The hole is burned into the cloth over thousands of shots. It is why spots are so important in looking after your surface.
Rolling the balls back to spot surely helps lengthen the life of the cloth. I'm sure he knows this so I tend to think the dented spot is the result of prolonged use for training and practices.

I’ve seen the video but you need a new slate bed for your snooker table and a new cloth as well

Ken Doherty is still pounding around! Maybe he's trying for one last trip to the Crucible then calling it a career.

I think your cloth has come to the end of its life ,highly recommended you fit small 8 mill spots if you get a new one fitted .
@7:54, that the black moved out and back into the spot after a slight brush by the cue ball, shows that the cloth is dented.
Hey mate day 16 of me asking for me to put me on the map,Im from Vlore Albania, i wont stop till i get it.
