I remember when this came out, I went to see it in a local movie theater with a lot of sentiment because I love this guys and I thought they'd never play again and then, five years later in 2015 I got to see them live in Mexico City, one of the best days of my life.
Music aside p&c both have very unique and unusual... ways of talking. One is surprisingly gentle and very considered and the other is quite nasal stammery and scattergun quickfire.
Even at 44 and since I was young to my middle 20's and up it will always be Joy Division and The Libertines to me when it comes to my first favorite bands. The 2 bands balance me out.
I wrote down few Libertines locations in London: 491 Holloway Rd, Archway - Apartment 1 Teesdale Street 112a - Apartment 2 159 Brick Ln, Shoreditch - Carl eating beigels Grove passage, Bethnal Green - The Libertines alley Anybody wants to add something? I really need to visit these.
I've seen this 2/3 times, and it still excites. I get nervous when I see them pacing the dressing room before they go on, (and I'm just watching). Saw them in Edinburgh in 2022, they were terrific. Xxx

For a long time the only song I've known was Up the bracket. I decided to buy the album not so long ago, and to be honest it's one of my favorites. It's a shame that they didn't last longer, but they are so criminally underrated.
Nice to hear that from someone almost 20 years on, these guys had just split when I was old enough to see them and I put them down with all the other great bands I’d never be able to see. E.L.O, The Who, Fleetwood Mac. And I’m pleased to say I’ve managed to see the lot, just waiting on the Mac to gig again.
If you get a chance to see them live. Do it, I was managing my expectations with wildcard Pete, but They were honestly one of, if not the tightest ‘close to studio’ sounding bands I’ve ever seen.

Please don't hex me Stevie, as you've had your moment's as well, but you and Lindsay did start out together, on that magical journey, rescuing Fleetwood Mac from the wilderness that is the obscure, has been, may have been, that seemed the destiny of Fleetwood Mac post Peter Green's Sid Barret-esque denouncement Emphasis on "was". Writing songs, his distinctive finger picking style of guitar, so masterfully, and truly contributing a great deal to the style, and catalog. As evidenced by his, to many person's thoughts, his landmark, experimental tour de force "Tusk", a work that showed his true vision as an auteur of music, and a production, with him at the helm, that exhibits clearly his gift, and desire to risk success, by having such a radical departure from "Rumours", when you know very well that the studio heads, and likely fellow bandmates, weren't as willing to push the musical envelope, but against all odds he stood his ground, and as its been said, "the proof is in the pudding". Kudos to you, Mr. Lindsay Buckingham, wherever you are! They may have, oh so coldly removed you as a touring member, but their to collective ingratitude, and disloyalty to you, and your person, i say/state for the record, "is to their ever lasting shame!" Last but not least his vision, some might say far-reaching, or pretensious, not that saying as such would trouble Mr. Buckingham because he is a true avant guard artist, extraordinaire. But i digress, his vision, is what transformed Fleetwood Mac into the world wide mega band that they were, but sadly, are no longer, without their captain at the helm. To their disgrace, if i may be so bold.
I think the reason this works is because when they’re on stage the masks come off and they are achingly, beautifully just themselves. The music and artistry has never been compromised by falsehood. It’s a no brainer to me that they would be able to pick up where they left off. Make no mistake. This is an extremely special band of bros.
Thank you for this, I loved it so much! I’ve been a fan of The Libs from the start and they really have provided the soundtrack to my life. Although being a year younger than Pete life has kind of got in the way the last few years but they were always in my playlist. During lockdown I reread Bound Together and it took me straight back to my formative years, came on here to watch a few Libs vids and found this, enjoying it so much I’ve rewatched it 3 or 4 times already, completely rekindled my love of the Band and the desperate struggle to keep Carl and Pete in the same room. Love this, love you guys and anyone else that has bought into the Arcadian dream

It’s heartbreaking at times but you can see that they both love each other so much it’s almost a pain to share the other with anyone else. I think had Pete been able to focus and not just let anyone who turned up with a bag of rocks into the inner circle then he may have kept Carl’s trust and it may have been a different story.
Interesting documentary we never here much about Pete in the media these days which I suppose is a good thing I hope he is drug free as there was a time when he was more famous for his addiction problem so I hope he is doing well and keeping his nose clean as I love the Libertines, Babyshambles and Pete's solo stuff

Must have been hard work for John and Gary at times in that band. I don't imagine Carl and Pete are the easiest personalities to work with or be around. Fair play though, they can't half write songs.
It takes such an effort to understand their speech, which is really frustrating as I'm a huge fan and really strange since I'm fluent in the language and have lived in the UK (including Scotland lol) for four years almost never having any serious trouble with any of the accents.
I actually have this on my old 160 gig iPod. I have all my most important albums and miscellaneous other things saved to it. This made it. Love these guys
You're smart for doing that. I did something similar. I had one drive I'd be using all the time, and one I'd periodically attach to back stuff up. But I didn't count on a house fire. :( Long live your 160gb

One thing that struck me, that can't be denied (I'm not talking out of my arse, in other words!) is Barat/Doherty are up there with the top boys, British song writing partnerships, is what I'm on about. There's been a few + they include some of the very best.......... Lennon/McCartney, Jagger/Richards, Chas 'n' Dave, I could go on........ in fact I will......... Strummer/Jones, Astbury/Duffy......... Hoddle/Waddle......... There are others, but they're keeping pretty good company as it is + they deserve to be, they're in the club, anyone who says otherwise would be responding rectally. Those boys have written some top drawer shanties, you've been told + I suggest you keep quiet.......... Or I'll tell Pete......... It's all gone quiet........ That's what I thought, we're all agreed, then...............
After reading Pete's book and watching this doc my favorite game is to imagine any lyrics of any Pete's song as being written about Carl :) And it's often true, like in case of Fuck Forever, but still funny! She'll never forgive you but she won't let you go :P

it's so sad, because Pete and Carl daydreamed about being poets like Coleridge or raconteurs of the 18th century- and they're too busy doing it to remember what sparked the magic is their bond itself.
