Nate's is slightly lower than MatPat's and Nate sings a bit more aggressively whereas MatPat sings more clearly.

Nate has a subtle vocal fry that MatPat doesn't, that's where some of the emotion in Nate's voice comes from. MatPat has a very clean tone and enunciation, like during "and be the best that you can be" the that going to you doesn't mix to sound like chu.
For everyone wondering how to differentiate Matt and Nates voices: Matt has a smoother voice that is more fitted to pop than Nates voice that can fit into rock styles. They're very similar but in this song Matt sings the higher harmony undertone often, they also alternate lines sometimes and verses at other times so it makes it even harder to tell. I'll put a clear time where it's nate and a clear time where it's Matt in a reply to this comment

My favorite Pokemon opening by two of my favorite UA-camrs. This can't get much better!
The nostalgia of this song is insaaane. Like I saw reruns of the original series as a kid, but being born in 1995, this series is what I grew up with.
Nate has a subtle vocal fry that MatPat doesn't, that's where some of the emotion in Nate's voice comes from. MatPat has a very clean tone and enunciation, like during "and be the best that you can be" the that going to you doesn't mix to sound like chu.

For everyone wondering how to differentiate Matt and Nates voices: Matt has a smoother voice that is more fitted to pop than Nates voice that can fit into rock styles. They're very similar but in this song Matt sings the higher harmony undertone often, they also alternate lines sometimes and verses at other times so it makes it even harder to tell. I'll put a clear time where it's nate and a clear time where it's Matt in a reply to this comment
At the beginning, "everybody wants to be a master; everybody wants to show their skill" is Nate and the following line is Matt.
