- In this chapter I show some of the animals we got during the building of the home. Selling our mobile home to get some money to buy the plywood to put the floor down and walls up. in the mean time we lived in the cellar. Not fun but only for a few months. First year in the upstairs we had no insulation. thank goodness for wood stoves! We now have a roof over our heads. LOL thank you all for watching and wishing you all health and happiness always
Finishing that roof is such an accomplishment! It is a real accomplishment. One step at a time - no matter how long it takes. Progress is always a great thing. Thanks for sharing! 🌲🦌🌲
This is probably one of the coolest series of videos I have watched, really enjoying this Judy.
that makes me happy that you are enjoying this journey trying to cram 10 years into minutes. LOL You are very much appreciated Chris and your comment means a lot to me. have a great week. have fun but be safe Chris

you are almost caught up to the last chapter. Thank you so much and wishing you a great weekend Dom
My parents found a dog lost in the woods years ago when they lived in Scotland, who was called Toby. They advertised they had found him but nobody came for him, so he lived out the rest of his life with them. You sure put in a hell of a lot of hard work to get your place up, real pioneers and must have given you a lot of satisfaction. That first winter must have been dam cold, cheers Alan
At least he had a good home I'm sure. thank you Alan
How exciting! To see so much progress. You all should be so proud!

wow what a great job those 12 7 roofs are steep for sure great looking pony i had one that was harness broke when my daughter was young her name was Bessy . That is the only animal that we ever owned that i could not put down when the time came we had here close to 20 years and she was not young when we got here. That pony thought the world of me for some reason. I thought the world of her to
steep roof so we wouldn't have to shovel the snow off it. LOL The woods pony (Toby) was a smart bugger and a very good pony. Thanks for watching I appreciate it very much Howard

@@JudyandSpirit your welcome. Bit late on replies. Have had a few issues with tiredness. Need to maybe remake your meatball and cabbage meal. I did enjoy that.
Well, I am finding this very interesting. Did I miss it? What's the timeframe that this all happened? Back in the 60's - 70's??
I am so happy you find this interesting. this was all done over years and it started in 1979. thank you so much for watching I appreciate it very much. Just showing that if there is a will there is a way. We were told by some that we couldn't do it on our own. LOL We did. Bless you Deb
I couldn't have done it. I wouldn't even know what to do or how to do it!
wow, that was a lot of work
Yes it sure was. But I still wish I was 30 years old and would do it again. thank you and Happy that your trip went well for you. It's always nice to be back home. Take care Val
A lot of work but worth it all!

Have a great holiday weekend Judy

@@JudyandSpirit got to
Wow that roof has quite the steep pitch, that's not for me either. LOL You guys having a portable saw mill sure came in handy as well as saving you guys money on the boards. Did you have to stay with the load that you left a long side of the road for your husband's return trip. I'm Loving this Judy!
Yes a steep roof because we didn't want to have to shovel the roof in the winter, we both did it when we were kids and didn't ever want to do it again. LOL Glenn and I picked all the sheets of plywood out of the road and stacked them on the side of the road and waited for my husband to return. Trials and tribulations.LOL. Thank you so much for watching and commenting I appreciate you very much. have a great weekend and good luck with gardening. Daniel
@@JudyandSpirit ❤ Thanks. You have a great weekend as well.
