Very interesting choice with that Max Payne background music. This mod seems to make a lot of other weird choices too. Never thought I would see Doom 3 guy in a Fallout 2 mod. That's for sure.
Can you try Magpie upscaler with ACnet shader? It can improve the graphics' look. Can't play without it in the old 2D games. As always, instalike and thank you for continuing.
I haven't heard of Magpie upscaler or ACnet shader before, but doing a quick google search turns up a couple of github projects: github.com/TianZerL/ACNetGLSL and github.com/Blinue/Magpie Are these what you're referring to? If they are, I might try them some day, but I'd have to install windows 10 for Magpie to work, or make a linux compatible version myself. For now, I'll keep an eye on these two.

Warlockracy even called the doom guy a mouth breather (notice the constantly open mouth) :P
