21:46 Motion Pro makes a cool little gear jammer that fits the gears exactly and keeps them from turning...

Left hand drill bits can be a real good friend in those situations like that Kickstarter :-)

Yep they sure can. I actually own 2 sets but both were in my tool box at work 🤦‍♂️. So the center punch and pick was the tool of choice this go around.

Awesome show brother. Been watching you for a long time. I had a new one in 1998 but started a family an had to sell it. I'm wanting another bike to teach my son how to ride an spend more time together. We love your channel. The younger ones needs to enjoy what we did. So keep it up.

Another great video DBF. When are you going to show off the RC’s behind you on the shelf? You and the Fab Rats family could have a crawl off.

    A couple general questions Kevin.
    1) where and what type of book for torque specs and maintenance do you use/recommend?
    2) Whenever you run out of loctite liquid, you got to buy the stick kind that looks like a kids glue stick. Much easier to use and doesn't get everywhere. Have you tried it before?
Glad to see some DYI content to give these fellers some gumption to work on their own rigs 🤘🤘

i like the clymer or haynes books. i have used the gel or stick loctite. it works the same as the liquid but it seems like its more money for the amount than the liquid. so i stick with the liquid. more bang for my buck. thanks for supporting my channel i hope i can help the dirt bike community with the little knowledge i have. i learn new things every day from so many and i love to pass that along

I agree with kevinculbertson2071... another great "how to" from DBF. I admit... In the past, I've been cheap and filed the fingers of the basket to buy myself some additional time before having to replace the basket. But, it's much better in the long run to just buck up and replace the parts as shown here. We tend to abuse the clutches.. so a little maintenance and some new parts will keep it happy for a long time... Now let me throw out a controversial topic... tranny oil... For years (40+) I've been running AFT Type F fluid in my tranny's... Yes, I've slit the cases on my bikes and can say, the clutch fibers and disks always look good, as well as all the tranny gears. I do change it often, it's cheap and readily available at any auto parts stores, and and have not has any issues over all these years.

First off thanks for taking the time to watch my stuff I truly appreciate it. Yep I have also filed down the basket a time Or to in my life. On to the ATF in the transmission. I have ran it before in a pinch and also have seen several people run it in machines with great success. Let’s face it. Automatic transmission have a very similar internal clutch pack as a dirt bike. So it makes sense it would work in a dirt bike.

Those that question my logic using AFT forget what in innards of an auto tranny are like... clutch disks, clutch fibers and gears... To each their own... lol I'll keep running ATF-F Keep the videos coming... this was a great step by step instructional video.
