I read on the forums that the Moose basket is made in the same factory as Hinson. Also that the Wiseco is the same as the ProX. This is speculation, i think. Either way, they are probably all great just find the cheapest one I suppose
The oil that I used to lubricate the cushions is what I trust and use Maxima MTL 80WT. It's basically a 10W-40 oil. Here it is www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/maxima-mtl-transmission-fluid-p?ref=1057
@tdog54 hey man I'm late to the party but in case you haven't gotten an answer yet: so, in my service manual for example (05 kx125) it recommends in even stock oem form to change oil after every race or couple of rides depending on use. I'd assume since hinson markets themselves as a race oriented product that that would be why they recommend to change after every ride. For me back when I was in highschool racing every weekend or going to the track every weekend I changed mine about every other weekend for practice day weekends. And if I was racing then I changed it after every race so every weekend. Overkill? Maybe to some but the service manuals don't lie and those that lag on oil changes are the ones wondering why their bottom end has issues.
Great video. Very thorough description in a short period of time. .
Thank u for sharing..never knew this about the Hinson it will help alot when I get one on my yzx..
Right on! Glad this was able to help you out. The Hinson baskets are a big upgrade for sure. Good luck with it for your YZX
Great video. It would be awesome if there was a cheaper alternative to replacing the oem one
Thank you my man! Yeah they all seem to be in the same ball park, but the benefits of them over oem are a plus without a doubt.

If i carefully remove the plate by drilling it instead of grinding can i re use the plate? My plate was missing on a good deal online for 50$
What engine/wet clutch oil should be used for Hinson? I read they recommend Mineral oil

Just put one of these in my bike. The instructions also say to change the oil every ride.
