- In this elden ring video I'm testing whether any of the main bosses can survive an army of scary cemetery shades. To make this match more even I've removed poise from both the shades and the bosses and disabled both grabs.

The Astel fight was basically Bug Wars. It’s also funny that half the boss wins used the Kill It With Fire method.
Placidusax was specially pissed off on this fight, he never charges at you on the beginning. He did here and after that we went heavy guns out. He decimated them without any consideration.
He must be scared of the dark

I think he does if the first thing you do as you enter the arena is summon. Most bosses change their behavior to "aoe focus" if you have more than one person in the arena. Just notice how all Mohg did was the weapon art. Elden Beast started with the Holy Breath, Placidusax dashed to close then used the Nuke as his second attack, Fortissax used the lightning and the fire breath in sequence.
It's somewhat scripted. Edit: don't quote me on this though, it's just what I noticed on my first run. In my second, I barely used summons and the bosses behaved quite differently, but that's my entire sample size.
You just KNOW when Radhan doesn't get bursted before he can unlock his second phase, the enemy army is gonna get blown up

Reminder that Godfrey is established to actually care about Morgott...mostly because it might explain why he seems to have gone even harder than usual in slaughtering the shades that deprived his baby boy of a much deserved win

Dragon gaming- how can you say that when the ONE survivor just went apeshit on his ass? That one survivor beating him when the others were getting just dogwalked was beyond impressive. He went toe to toe w Margott w basically the same amount of hit points remaining and he won. That deserves some praise.

From an rpg standard, it's like going up against an army of glass cannons that can stop you from acting at all, just instant death unless you really play that well.

His fight came down to whether the spoopie army killed him before he jumped into his second phase or not.

Radahn gets killed before he jumps, or he wins. There is no in-between.
Morgott was so close man, but if Godskin Noble could’ve activated his roll, he might’ve won too.
If the godskin apostle activated his tornado they would have won too.
Gideon being given a chance to fight back and then not fighting back is so on point for him.
Maliketh got killed off by the LAST invader spirit last time, this time he said "No. Fuck that." xD
Then there's Placidusax, who didn't even need the second phase. He was just: "Fuck _this one_ in particular!"
He would've won that fight. He got ridiculously unlucky that both of his last two kills had the slowest death animation, making him hit them for like legit six seconds longer while the mages shot him.
Seeing the cloud of darkness approaching Raddhan is really something
Those creatures are actually just corpses being controlled by some dark magical crabs attached to the top or their dome. There’s a whole lore on it in game
Estus chugging has never been punished so hard as Gideon was punished for drinking in his second chance.

The maleketh fight is way closer than I thought I thought all of them would die instantly after he reached second phase
Poor Morgott lol. It's crazy how dirty Miyazaki did him when you compare him to other broken bosses like Malenia and his far more powerful brother Mohg.

Morgott has the "Champion Gundyr" situation going on. His moves are amazing against a player, but he himself is near dogshit against every other boss in the game

Morgott is such a fantastic boss with epic moves but has very little health. I would say the same is true for Godfrey and Radagon. But, those two make it up by being hyper aggressive and not to mention the lurking threat of high health Elden Beast.

I’d love to see a “Morgott Vs” video, or multiple videos of him fighting different NPCs, mini bosses, or groups of enemies like this. He needs his time in the spotlight. Radahn and Malenia get all the attention.

What's wild is I think they actually would have had a chance against Malenia if she didn't open her 2nd phase with Scarlet Aeonia. They're really aggressive and could've potentially blitzed her down before she got the chance to use her big moves.
More like Malenia who did not use Water fowl dance. She did not use it even when she hit the health thresholds in both situations. Honestly I did not expect them to even take her to second phase.
It was frankly disappointing. Her AI in that fight definitely did not use Waterfowl Dance.
Everyone wants to see Malenia not be malenia lol. Her moves make her who she is changing any part of it might as well change the boss.

The way the lighting works in the Godrick fight is so insanely cinematic! The apporaching spooky dudes look like a lengthening shadow.
It was neat seeing that horde form one gigantic shadowy streak across the Mountaintops of the Giants. Also, thanks for including Fortissax in this, he seems to be an often forgotten Remembrance boss in mod videos. Speaking of which, his lightning storm only hit a single shade once, and his flying fire barely touched any when they were standing still in the perfect spot -- and they were hardly hurt to boot. Man those ancient dragons stink.
I love the Godrick fight, at the start it just looks like a black cloud of death heading into the arena.

I love how they swarm towards their targets, to me, rennala was basically the food hovering above the water filled with a ravenous school of pirahna’s!
Even though they lost, the sight of them surging towards radahn as a blanket of darkness was also very cool!

I think I like not having poise in the fights better than having it. It makes it so you don't just get stun locked bosses who die because they can't move. Well done!!!

there is always that last one that trained like hell to get there and survives a lot longer and sometimes gets his deserved W
There's always that one "little one that could" by the end of these fights
The unfortunate thing about Fortissax in these videos is that the main reason behind his difficulty is something that most enemies are immune to: Deathblight. That original barrage of lightning leaves pools of blight all over the arena, so a player has to be careful not to stand in one of them for too long, or go through too many in a row, lest they die to the Blight. This is where the real challenge comes from; Fortissax himself doesn't actually pose that much of a threat otherwise. It's all about watching where you're stepping/standing while _also_ managing to fight a huge dragon.
But every boss, and all 'regular' enemies are all completely immune to it - only Tarnished can be affected by the Blight (and there are probably some interesting lore implications to that, honestly). So basically the only match-up where Fortissax's strongest ability actually works is versus Invaders.
That last shade was a real trooper on elden beast, Maliketh too

The Radahn fight really shows the weakness in NPCS like this against others. Most have no real survival instinct so when they bunch up into a group in front of a bigger enemies big attack it leads to the whole group dying at once. Makes me wonder sometimes how some would be if their whole script wasn't constant running forward and aggression. lol
