Exactly what I’d hoped for…and so much more!
“Funk #49” topped my request list as I was counting on Yoyoka to use the free rein allowed by the song to add her own touches and then let loose during the “intermission”. She did just that, spicing it up with that infectiously playful style we all appreciate, and every aspect of her performance is a delight. Would definitely buy from again!
yeah I had requested it here a few times also. not disappointed in the results either.
Nobody brings the Funk
so naturally like Yoyoka
does! Funk #49l 🎶🥁
What a treat! 💕👍✌️🖖
@@8088I Like Buttah"!! 🤩😀
🎯
True
Nothing makes me happier than watching a fellow drummer who looks like they are having SUCH a great time!
Agreeeeeeeeeeeed
Such a good drummer and a high level of confidence for her age. Kudos!
The confidence, joy, groove. Yeah there's something spiritual involved. This is not normal
I would say Mark Owens got his money's worth on this one! That middle section was 🔥
When she went to Pearl to pick out whatever she liked, she said at the time she did not want rack toms because she didn't like them, too small and no good sound. It was like she knew her mind then years ago, and what she wanted to do.
Instead she said big effen floor toms, thanks.
I am happy to see she held true to what she loves, and that seems to be big arena drummer type sound.
For the Steely Dan clan, I believe she’s recently covered, Home at Last.
Yeeeee haaaawwww !!! Thanks very much Yoyoka !!!! 😁✌️
That was phenomenal. What a tribute to the original drummer who performed this song.
The great thing about a Joe Walsh song is he always leaves space for an artist to play around.
Joe Walsh and Yoyoka. What a combination!!!
sometimes watching a drummer playing in the pocket is so much better than a whole bunch of tricky complicated stuff. It's playing music vs playing drums.
The outro showcases her metronomic quality very impressively.
You are witnessing HISTORY. Embrace.
Funk yeah!
Watching this kid actually brings me to tears sometimes...
I love the sheer joy Yoyoka has when she's playing.🙂 I would love to see Yoyoka performing "Manic Depression" by Jimi Hendrix and Mitch Mitchell. It's a 3/4 time beast.
Indeed!!! beyond the skill level and fluidity (is that a word) the joy that shines forth is what makes it extra special.
Manic Depression would be epic..
yoyoka is an oasis. fantastic feel, taste and musicality
Awesome girl !!! Rock on \m/
Thanks again Yoyoka
You are a dear angel you're awesome
Holy...It's hard to believe it without seeing it.
The comfortability she has behind the kit is something any drummer strives for.
Whenever I am having a bad day, I sit back and watch Yoyoka jam, and I am immediately filled with joy. There are plenty of talented drummers out there, but Yoyoka has a unique feel for the music she is playing, and her charisma pulls the listener right into the experience.
Yoyoka you are amazing. I wouldn't even imagine someone your age would ever know who the James gang is/was. And here you are doing a cover of Funk 49. You are incredible. Thank you
WOW!!!!!!
Yoyoka Has me clicking on her videos faster than ever
Outstanding choice. Not that it's highly-difficult, it's that groove. Man-o-manichevitz.
Pocket much? Great to hear what you chose to do with the open space. Very tasty.
Is that a new moving blanket? Thanks for your music.
What is it with Japan and female drummers?..........simply amazing!
Her fills are like a drum solo within the groove of the song. Only our YOYOKA can pull this off!
The joy that just radiates from the young woman when she's jamming is beyond infectious. That smile is genuine. She's grooving. Amazing watching someone her age blasting James Gang, Led Zeppelin, Grand Funk Railroad. Makes me feel young just seeing it. God bless you, young lady. Yoyoka RULES!!!
In today’s world of events and peoples lives, she sure provides a wonderful reprieve with her “infectious” smile and her amazing talent!
@@midwesterner2023 Absolutely!!
Honestly, this stuff is like falling off a rock to her (as Robert Plant observed). I'd like to see her get into some more technical modern stuff...
@Richard Harrold Did you see her doing Jeff Beck's Led Boots? Amazing...
@@chrispix61 yeah, and that Sting thing... very impressive. Much harder than this! But I'd like to see her tackle some Rush, Tool, even Meshuggah...
That big smile is priceless.
just know that whatever you think you're good at, a teenage japanese girl is doing it 10x better right now.
Not even a teenager, she was better than I'll ever be at 8
She's arguably the best drummer in the world and she is only 14.
@@sammencia7945I think she has to develop her jazz chops.
Yoyoka is so amazing!
hello yoyoka so great seeing you happy an spreading the music what inspires you to share. life is a challenge embrace it an sail or swim with the currents . your so cute an thanks your mom since its mothers day an your father for there guide ence a loyal fan :-)
She is her own little show!
The James Gang members cheer: Yay! Yoyoka covered us!!
Heard this song for years and just thought it was a Joe Walsh song. Didn’t know about James Gang. 🌈The More You Know 💫
Yoyoka going back to the dark ages when I was young. The greatest music of all time. Yoyoka has such great tastes is music. Fantastic drumming!
The best part is how much she just purely enjoys herself playing drums.
She backhands that cymbal while she's in the groove!!!
I was hoping Joe Walsh was gonna make a cameo with the cowbell...oh well it was out of this world Yoyoka!
She seems to be so happy which makes this awesomeness even better!!!!
I respect for how humble she's always been and how down to earth her family despite this greatness
You’re so right. The youngest boy I thought would be a little tornado but he’s quite mature. He performs very confidently.
@@roymoore3156Yoyoka is a girl
Impeccable timing , amazing feel , she will be a legend in the music business for sure! Incredible talent
Another great choice! Thank you Mark Owens!
Lord have mercy! That breakdown at about the 1:41 mark that just keeps getting more outrageous as it blooms out knocked my ears into my watch pocket! Reminiscent of her breakdown on her cover of Virtual Insanity. But far longer and 4x more complex. She makes good stuff great. She makes great music epic. Go back and watch her cover of Black Dog ~ a LIVE version of a famously unique and difficult song to cover. This is such a treat to watch her expand and conquer style after style as she twists their tails with her own special MOJO! Hammer time Hokkaido Hammer time that is. Swimming pools and moviestars!
W O W !!! Hope Joe sees this, he’d LOVE it!
I have been smoking for 3 days, and no anxiety that cannot be removed with a delicious coffee or Soda. I owe it all to you, plus I've been exercising for 1 month.
I've watched this many times now because it is so good but I've only just noticed the Final Fantasy tee shirt! For those who don't know Yoyoka provided drum parts for 18 tmusic tracks for Final Fantasy. I forget the series ID but you'll find it amongst Yoyoka's many vids. Well worth a listen or 10 . She is such a professional.

Love it...More James Gang songs please!!!
1972 Eagles auditorium Seattle WA. I think....James Gang. A few reefers?
Your hard work is obvious! Thank you!
I like how SHE decides when a song ends,,,,often addimg here own outtro flair . Truly loves rhythm !!
I haven’t watched Yoyoka in a bit beige watching now tho, was wondering is her bass drum and snare in the rocknroll hall of fame now🇨🇦⚡️✌🏼
More concentration, but still joy.
Jim Fox was a very groovy drummer, when watch yoyoka play to the James gang you can see what a great drummer he was by the way she nails his technique !!
Nice! Jim Fox!
Dang! Every time I listen to you do this I realize how impossibly good you really are! Thanks Yoyoka! Way better than the original that I love.
I love watching her face. She loves her art
She doesn’t play this song so much as she inhabits it. Infused with Yoyoka joy, the song ignites like a supernova beneath her sticks.
Indeed.
So right, so tight, so groovy, so in the pocket.
Say, Yoyoka, if you accept requests, this old and ailing fan would absolutely LOVE to see/hear you drum Zeppelin's "Kashmir!" I know it would be GREAT, because you NEVER disappoint. And if you ever perform on Florida's "Space Coast" anytime soon, I would love to see you perform in person. Best wishes to you, your mother, father and little brother! 🤟
She's awesome!
Simply amazing! Love you Yoyoka!
joe walsh しかもjames gang をやってくれるなんて、嬉しい🎉
Nice fills! 👍🏻
I saw a banner at an event where you played. It said, "We were born to bring hope to the world". I believe it!
You feel and share joy. What a blessing!
Joe would be so proud! Thank you Yoyoka! 😎✌️❤️🥁🎶
Yoyoka - you found your funk ~ amazing groove all of the way through.
Yoyoka celebrating end of school summer break. 🎉🥳
The song sounds like a Led Zeppelin song and the drums sounds like Bonham. No wonder that Zep fan Yoyoka chose this one.
🔥🔥🔥
Wonderful my friend! Excellent choice.
I WAS TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY !!! Kicking ass and taking names. Atta-girl Yoyoka-chan ! And it's nice to see the young fräulein have fun with her sticks. It was funkin' great.
This is the epitome of what '70s music sounds like to me. Great job, Yoyoka🥁.
Oh YoYoka....so fun drum song, and you had a lot of fun with that one.
So cool to see Yoyoka improvise her own solo, and still come back in perfectly on time. 👍😎
And didn't the solo fit the number. Just perfect in content and style.
The future is going to be fun to see where she takes her talent.
So Good. She has a lot of time when she play. A PRO.
Go Yo Yo go!!
Most excellent cover! Thank you for sharing. ❤
YYEEEESSSSS!!!!!!
"The YOYOKA Effect" at it's FUNKIEST BEST!
Yoyoka, I love everything you play, but I have to say that it really gladdens my heart when you play music from my era. Funk #49 has always been a favorite and I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see you get such joy from playing it. Thank you and a big hug! ♥
Well,...I have the same drums!
I just need another decade of practice! 😜
Excellent job!!!!!!!
this "Kid", and a "Gurl" is so much better than so many more older drummers. She's amazing and not just in the basics, but in her own style and accents. She's got it all. Amazing and so so good! WOW!
Yoyoka this was absolutely fantastic, I really enjoyed the spin you put on this classic and had fun with it. Perfect 🐰🥁🐰🥁🐰
Kid always puts a smile on my face
Nobody brings the Funk

Wow..!!!!
wow !!! very good that kid...much better than me...
Sick break and solo. A+.
Wasn't expecting such a great break, didn't know song, interesting song choice
いやいや選曲だけでやられましたよ👍それにしても安定感 リズム感といい うめぇなぁ😅
Excellent Yoyo, well done. Pat 🏴
You can never go wrong with Joe Walsh. I love how she made it her own, throwing in those flams. Nice job as always, Yoyoka! I'm still waiting for some Steely Dan!
me too
Steely Dan with Steve Gadd. 😀
@@gbulmer Yes! I approve your message! Gadd is a legend.
@@leggomyeigonosensei Thank You! 😀
I think Steve Gadd is the only legendary drummer from my youth Yoyoka hasn't covered yet.
I'd love Yoyoka to cover Bill Bruford. However, I'm fine with Shido having Bruford all to himself. 😀
Best Wishes, ☮
@@gbulmer So true. Others on my Yoyoka cover wish list…Phil Collins (Abacab), Terry Bozzio, Nick Mason, Sib Hashian, Charlie Watts, Ringo (early Beatles), Eric Kretz, Matt Cameron, Mike Joyce, Nicko McBrain, Steve Smith (she covered Journey live but I want to see a studio version)…and of course, Buddy Rich.
SHE'S ALWAYS JAMMIN THOSE CUTS THAT HAVE ME ALL OVER THE PLACE
Really enjoyed this one. Especially the fancy footwork near the end.
