It sounds like you buy cell service for Sync 4 when you show how to turn on the hotspot, and it sounds like the days of having to pay Ford for map updates every year has gone away, but you don't say so specifically. I once paid for cell service for my in-car tracker so it could provide a hotspot and it was only $10 a month at the time so both of these things, if true, would be great.
If they can’t run Sync 4 (or upgrade Sync 3 to 4) on a brand new 2021 Bronco/Sport, this is a big miss by Ford. Do the F-150 teams not interact or communicate with the other teams? Strange stuff.
It will eventually get to the Bronco Sport. They are just carefully implementing them into their models. Expect Sync 4 for the Bronco Sport in 1-2 years.
Doesn't look like too many F150,s will be delivered due to the semi-conductor chip shortage , i placed an order on December 28/20 ...my dealer basically said "don't hold your breath !!
Wow, very nice system, much better than before. I love that the owners manual is integrated and also the automatic updates is a super nice feature!! Thanks!!
Too bad, it cannot be installed into an older Ford. Basically all I am looking for is something for when I am out of reception, & emergency assistance is required. Not just a satellite phone, in case I am unable to dial.
Looks great! Why wouldn’t they put this in the new Bronco/Bronco sports or any other 2021 model???? 😑 Frustrating for someone who’s looking at buying a 2021 Explorer or Bronco Sport. Not a big enough deal to wait another year but comon’ Ford.
@@UR86 My mistake but hard to count the Bronco will start rolling off the line when other 2022 models are starting to hit dealerships. Why not the Explorer (that was all new in the last year) and the Bronco Sport? Guessing cost... :)
So far, Sync 4 (2021 F150) XLT) has been a downer, tone settings (bass, treble and mid) keeps resetting to factory midway setting of 50%, android car play sometimes do not start for 5 mns or so of driving...very aggravating tbh
Same truck here, very aggravating and always when I need carplay to work the most but I think it has improved recently and connects quicker. I've noticed it doesn't connect at times when the phone is plugged in/charging as I start the truck
After you connect to Bluetooth, the system should recognize that your phone supports wireless AA automatically. Then you agree to some prompts that pop up on your phone. That's it
So I just received my 2021 Lariat F-150. I went from having separate presets for Sirius, FM, AM etc to now literally only have 10 presets for everything. 10, that’s it. In sync 3 I had 18 presets just for FM. I love the truck but this system is stupid if you like to listen to media. I bet it will likely cause some accidents as
Was just at the Ford Dealership today and inquired about this exact thing. Dealership confirmed that 2022 Ford Explorer will not come with sync 4. Major let down on fords part.
Not at all impressed with Sync4 and wish I could return to Sync3 navigation. I'm cheap! I use a Tracfone which costs me about $120/year and I refuse to pay for Sirius/XM radio. The GPS-based navigation in Sync3 was OK with me, though it's not 100% OK with everyone. Sync4 uses "Connected" navigation which requires an $80/year renewal fee. Let it expire and it does nothing more than show where you are ... cannot navigate to Point B. I refuse to use my phone's data for navigation when I can plop a Garmin atop the dashboard ... a Garmin which has FREE lifetime map updates.
Fabulous video of the all new Ford SYNC 4 Infotainment System!! Great job guys!!
Thanks;
The Maverick needs this at the Lariat trim.
Great video! Stay safe guys!

Whatever it can be solved by a concept of size, I opt to be at loss to start a conversation while it shows some great suggestions for monitors.
Are the climate functions no longer shown on the screen?
No. And I’m happy about that. Much more convenient now. Had 2018 platinum, just purchased 21 Limited f150
How do you get rid of the split screen?
Any solutions found? Just got mine and that’s what I’ve been looking for

I don't understand why they didn't put Sync 4 on the Bronco Sport.

Is there a way to maximize car/Android play
Great video !! Not a ford guy but they are impressive these days !
Too bad I can’t aFord it...
@@AUA-camChannelwithNoName bruh
How do you remove the separate screen snippet to the right of the screen so your map can take the whole screen?
Wireless car play is laggy. I used it wirelessly for about 5 minutes. It lagged so bad it drove me crazy so I switched back to plugging my phone in.
Great video!! Great info
I wonder if the Ranger gets it
I believe I will have the sync 4 on my 2021 Badlands big Bronco with the Lux package?
Will it let you access the UA-cam app on the screen from your phone

How much is the subscription after the trial period is up ? Does it go brain dead if you dont resubscribe?
Can you have android auto in "full screen" like sync3 ?

Whats that profile looking button on the siriusxm menu?
Personal profile button
How do you get the weather and traffic under the nav menu to work?
It probably requires a Sirius XM subscription
@@brentneahring2797 I have the free trial. Do you know if it’s still considered travel link like sync 3

Does this work with the 2021 Ford Expedition?
Not yet, but Ford might allow it to be updated in the future
For the XL, it has an 8" screen.
Yea and it doesn’t have most of the options this video is showing.
