Very nice renovation. Love the tile floors and the bathroom. But to be able to go outside on the porch on either side and drink a cup of coffee and listen to the birds. You renovated a nice little cozy home.
That is very nice. You did a great job. My Mom bought her first rental when I was 18 months old, and now I am 69 years old. I've renovated apartments and houses with her over the years, and this video brought back memories. I started finding good buys on remodeling materials at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, their thrift store, and have gotten good buys on new and used items for remodel projects. They often have the merchandise shown online at their website.

I was looking for a Tiny Home when I came on to this video. This is so my style!! I love clean nice smaller homes and this would be perfect for me due to being on Social Security. Very affordable living and the home looks brand new!
Thanks, I haven’t looked into the price of tiny homes but I’m guessing these old mobile homes are much more affordable, it’s just that they usually need a lot of work to make them nice, good day and thanks for watching.
Brother, I noticed the gap between the trim and the wall. You have white baseboards so can take white caulking and fill all the cracks, then wipe down the seams immediately with a damp rag or sponge to get any caulk off the walls. This will also work around the plug and switch plates. Also make the screws on the plate all face the same directions. Someone told me this years ago and I did it on a home I remodeled. Before I put the caulk in the gaps, people were telling me it looked nice, but after caulking they told me it looked so much better and several people said it looked cleaner. All said they never seen the gaps the first time they looked. They did but couldn’t identify what was changed and different before and after. Today they make caulk in stainless steel color, so my up coming remodel will not have gaps between the stainless steel parts like towel holders and door handles. I also took baby food jars and kept touch up paint. I would touch up every imperfections and ding caused by moving in, every time I cleaned. It was the most beautiful home I had ever seen at the time. Just so you know, yours is one of the best remodels I have ever seen. The video inspires me to make a UA-cam video of my remodel. I have some videos, and lots of photos before and what I have done so far, but things seem so much more expensive today, so it’s not going fast. I buy new stuff from thrift stores and have been doing so for years. My double wide was probably a fentanyl house and I bought it from the owner for back taxes and a truck and travel trailer. She almost lost it for back taxes and I bought it days before the auction. Thanks for the video.
Yeah I am aware about the gap, if I’m repainted the home I will caulk then tape and paint but on this home I just painted the walls and trim separately and nailed the trim on after I painted, I understand what you are saying with white caulk I just have never thought about caulking walls without painting over the caulk, maybe it would look ok 🤔. Anyway thank you so much for the kindly worded tips, I definitely appreciate that.

This is my first time on your video so I don’t know the backstory, but I can tell you did a great job and I think most people are waking up and going to a smaller homes and trailers. If you can find somebody clean delivered by you that’s the biggest thing it’s not having a big house it’s being safe and people are learning they don’t wanna give up 60% of their income just to live in a big house.
It would have been so nice to have seen a 'before' picture of the coach. I live in a double wide coach in Palm Springs, Calif in an over 55 complex. I just witnessed a '70s era coach completely renovated to a similar extent so this video was very interesting. I'm wondering where the geographical location is? Good Work!!

Nice place! Last November I had to give up on my 1983 Madrid because it had deteriorated so much. I had lived there since 2005 when I bought the 3 bedroom 2 bath 14x80 for $2,600.00 from a neighbor. We owned our land and paid a friend $500 to move it across the street. We had to do a lot of repairs, but something was always wearing out. Our finances were limited, but we held it together until 2022. I miss living there every day. It is still my home, and I live where I'm at now.😢
are you living in the 14x80 now, you got a pretty good deal on that, I don’t see many 3 bed 2 bath single wides but I know they made a lot of them, good luck to you.
@frugallandlord6974 No, I do not still live in my mobile home. One of my daughters bought me a house in town. I do still own my trailer, but I have not been able to bring myself to go there since I moved last November. My daughter did not let me bring a lot of my things that I treasure. Almost all of my clothes are still there. I also own the land, 1/2 acre, my home sits on. I've lived there since 1990. It's all paid for too.
@frugallandlord6974 My youngest daughter pays for her trailer in October, and she will pull her trailer onto the land in front of my place. I will continue to use my house as storage. My place has holes in the ceiling all over, and some areas of the floor are weak (a hole under my couch). The shape it's in no one would rent it or buy it. The place I'm in now was built in 2018, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. She bought all new furniture that suited her taste. It's a nice to live, but not my home.
@@jeanbaker2087 so sad to hear. I understand having a home that is yours. I lost my first real home. I have lived in several places before and since but still miss my home. I will overpay my taxes by several years, and keep overpaying as long as I can afford it, so I can’t ever lose it. I don’t feel like we can ever really own anything in America.
Looks real good. I talked to an insurer once about buying an old mobile home & they said they would not insure it unless wiring, plumbing & heating including any natural gas line were all redone brand new.
You did a beautiful job. This is a perfect home for a young couple or retired people. The drawers in the bathroom are really nice. I'm Irish living in Ireland..🇮🇪 Over here there are not many people living in mobile homes. They certainly wouldn't be as big as yours. Particularly the older models. The porch would be perfect for a chair and a small table. To sit drimk coffee and listen to the bird's.
I don’t think mobile homes are common in other countries, I would bet that USA is the king of mobile homes, thanks for the kind words and thank you for watching.
You did a wonderful job sprucing that mobile home up. My daughter just bought a trashed RV with a house added to it and is wondering whether to tear it down or what, just to flip it.
Hello, just found your channel. Excellent job on this rehab! Nice job on the decks - love the foundation. In the little room shelves would be nice to the left of the closet. Kitchen pantry closets are always fantastic!
Thanks, the Highway is not the access road, but it’s close enough to this highway to get a little noise but it’s not as bad as the camera makes it seem.😀
Yeah I have used luxury vinyl plank flooring on several homes before, I do like it a lot. I have not seen the rubber flooring yet though. thanks for the tip.
Our first house was a trailer. Great starter home. We sold that to pay for closing costs for our house. Have always owned and never rented. Trailers and tiny homes are a good way to start. Great job. I would put up shelves above the washer/dryer. Small corner in the small bedroom would put shelves also for clothes. Not much room for dresser. This way more room. Love you have a deck at both doors.
Nice. I would've painted the ceilings white, put ceiling fans in the bedrooms, probably painted the walls a light Taupe instead of gray (gray is out now and warmer tones are coming in. Taupe is a nice warm neutral.) and put in vinyl plank flooring. Otherwise...nice.
Agree taupe is a beige with hint of grey. Warmer than builders grey walls. But neutral. Grey as a wall colour is out in 2024 as it got overused by builders. You dontvsay where you rent at? That would be helpful.
My mobile home can not be moved due to the metal supports being rusted through, and it's over 20k to demolish it. I like your walk through to give me ideas to renovate this place.
Beautiful job but I have several issues. I think you brought the kitchen cabinets too far into the living room. I would prefer a larger living room area. And I think the porch could have been alot bigger since the only window was the kitchen window. That porch could have been a nice 8 feet it longer. That would have given much more space to be able to sit outside and enjoy. Beautiful flooring and wall color.
Windows are the biggest improvement! Love the tile floor. What about the first bedroom if you could have maybe made that closet longer all the way to the wall. Because that little spot on the other side of the closet seems pointless. The only other thing is maybe a little lighter on the paint color, and I can't tell if the ceilings are white. I really like it when the ceilings are white. Doesn't it suck when you make a place look really nice and you put all that time and money into it, and you get bad tenants. My mom has a lot of rentals and even with credit checks you just never know about people. Really a nice job. Would have loved to seen the before...
yeah old mobile home windows are always terrible, good point on the closet, I should have changed it, that was the original size, ceilings are same blue gray, you can see the before, because I have a playlist of videos from this home, it was extremely bad before, playlist is junk mobile home renovation playlist I believe, thanks again for the thoughtful comment. 😀
I like the way that you have renovated this entire mobile home but where I am from in TX I know that many people will just keep them till they are no longer livable.
Do you mean that tenants will destroy the home, yeah I understand that occasionally you can get some tenants that are extremely rough on a home and I have had some tenants like that. If they stay for many years then it’s still worth it because the cash flow you get over the years along with the deposit will be enough for the damages usually. Thanks for the visit.😀
Nice remod. You will make your investment back in under a year! I've never even thought about remod/rehabbing mobile homes. You could probably do a rent to own kind of biz.
@@ronnisimmons9992 probably built by the same couple of people, the construction is actually pretty good for an old mobile home, at least in my opinion.
Wow this is amazing. I'd love to do something like this to get out from under a house payment. BUT I don't have the expertise to choose the right trailer to do this. If there is water damage etc, it could cost a fortune to fix it up. And banks just won't loan on used mobile homes like they used to. You give me inspiration though! By the way....you wouldn't happen to be anywhere near Michigan would you? lol. wishing I could find someone locally who could do this for me and keep it under $100,000. lol
Looks nice, the only thing I think I would change would be moving the kitchen to far end and build a kitchen Island. Fewer and fewer people now days have a kitchen table much less want a dinning room and they don't want a HUGE kitchen either, they want more living space because enteaining their friends in the home is becoming a thing again. I would have moved the kitchen to the wall in the front and made more living space, I might have even bumped out the wall of the bedroom a foot or so to make the small bedroom a little bigger, by moving the kitchen to the front wall and building a Kitchen Island and making the living area bigger you wouldn't even notice that foot by moving the wall and making the bedroom bigger.
You did a wonderful job on this! I like the continuity of color. I am not so sure on the tile floors all the way through, and I think the ceiling and walls are a bit too heavily textured for my liking. They will be harder to keep clean. I am not putting anything you did down! I couldn't have done such a great job....just stating preferences.

I will overpay my taxes by several years, and keep overpaying as long as I can afford it, so I can’t ever lose it. I don’t feel like we can ever really own anything in America.
Beautiful! Looks like brand new! You do excellent work!
Thank you so much!
The bathroom is beautiful!!❤❤
Thanks, I appreciate that.
I like how bright it is…sometimes trailers can be sooooo dark!
I agree about them being dark.😀
Wow! What a great job! You made a beautiful home for someone...!
Thanks.😀
wish i owned it .
perfect ... my exact dream trailer.
its never gonna happen... but its exactly whats its in my head .
I’m so happy to that you like it.
You did a beautiful job
Thank you so much
Looks real good. I talked to an insurer once about buying an old mobile home & they said they would not insure it unless wiring, plumbing & heating including any natural gas line were all redone brand new.
That’s one thing to think about for sure. Some of the very old mobile homes had aluminum wiring. Thanks for stopping by.😀
You did a beautiful job.
You did a lovely job! Hopefully a renter will be proud of it & care for it properly!!
Yeah I hope so too.😀
This place is beautiful ❤ You've done an amazing job making it a great home better than before ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you 😀
Lucas, beautifully done!!! I'm amazed. Doesn't look like a mobile home at all.
Thanks 😀
You did a wonderful job sprucing that mobile home up. My daughter just bought a trashed RV with a house added to it and is wondering whether to tear it down or what, just to flip it.
Wow is the house, a mobile home or just like a stick built cabin. I guess it would depend on the quality of the build, if I would keep it or not.
Good job I love how it turned out!
Thank you very much, I’m glad you liked it.
diane just found this,i didnt know there was a be4,thanks,i think i might just have 2 sub.
High quality finishes, great job!!!
Thank you.😀
.Beautiful job...anyone would be proud to call it home.
Kind words, thanks for watching.
Night and Day transformation. Very good job.
Thank you! yeah it was pretty crazy to fix that mobile home but it can be done obviously.
You should put cabinets around the refrigerator to make it look built in and more finished.
Yeah that’s a good idea
No it limits the size of the fridge, we have issues with this as they change sizes.
Wow! This is beautiful work! Great job! :)
Thank you so much!
My Husky would love the tiled floors to keep her cooled down!
never thought of that lol
Thanks for the showing 😊 you did a great job.❤❤
Thanks for watching.😀
Beautiful. Awesome. I'm 85 yes old. This just what I need. Perfect. To bad you aren't Spokane WA. Of course I need the price
Thank you so much 😊
Looks very nice. If it were mine I'd put as big of an island as I could in that kitchen. One with alot of storage capacity. Nice job.
Thanks, yeah an island would be nice.😀
Hello, just found your channel. Excellent job on this rehab! Nice job on the decks - love the foundation. In the little room shelves would be nice to the left of the closet. Kitchen pantry closets are always fantastic!
Thanks, good idea about the shelves, thanks for the visit 😀
Wow I love the wall and floor colors.
Yeah I think it’s a good combination 😀
Busy Highway is only real negative. Nice redo!
Thanks, the Highway is not the access road, but it’s close enough to this highway to get a little noise but it’s not as bad as the camera makes it seem.😀
Great remodel. You can always use LVT and also there is this rubber type flooring that is just as durable as LVT
Yeah I have used luxury vinyl plank flooring on several homes before, I do like it a lot. I have not seen the rubber flooring yet though. thanks for the tip.
@kldegeyter What is the rubber type flooring called? I have tried to find residential rubber flooring for years, so I am interested. Thanks!
@@jls6n when I get home I will get the info for you.
Looks brand new. You did a great job!
Thank you.😀
You did a fantastic job! I love it ❤!!!
Thank you so much!
So bright and beautiful!
Thank you so much
Our first house was a trailer.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment, very appreciated.😀
Nice. I would've painted the ceilings white, put ceiling fans in the bedrooms, probably painted the walls a light Taupe instead of gray (gray is out now and warmer tones are coming in. Taupe is a nice warm neutral.) and put in vinyl plank flooring. Otherwise...nice.
Great ideas, I will need to look what that color is because I’m not sure what it is lol.
Good luck on the reno, thanks for watching.
Beautiful flooring and wall color.
thanks and I appreciate the ideas I agree with both.
lol you sound like the customer nobody wants to work with 😂
@@Flyingfrogs2y hahahaha 😂😂
Nice job!! Looks fantastic!
Thank you very much!
You did an awesome job! The house is beautiful
Thanks I appreciate that, thanks for watching.
Great job!! Thanks for sharing 👩🏽🦱👩🏽🦱
Thanks for watching, and you are welcome.
This place looks amazing for a mobile home. Good work. Mine won't be nearly as nice due to budget but it'll be home.
Yeah that’s all you need, everything is just insanely expensive anymore.🤨
Nice remod. You will make your investment back in under a year!
I've never even thought about remod/rehabbing mobile homes.
You could probably do a rent to own kind of biz.
Yeah I have sold 2 mobile homes on terms before, both times turned out fine.
Any sane person would be happy to have this!
Most people that we show the home to really like it. 😀
I like the tile throughout, so much more classy than cheap vinyl floors or thin plank floors. Did you have reservations about tile floors?
my reservation’s about the floor was, will the home settle more, as it’s just on blocks, this would cause the floor to crack, because it is tile
Beautiful job. Love all the tile.
Thank you.
I would live in this beautiful mobile home ..looks great and so roomy
Thanks .😀
I love trailers! Awesome Job.
Thanks I appreciate that, I hope you enjoyed the video.
You have done a GREAT job on this.
It just so happens to be the same model as mine and ours has also been remodeled.
Cool did yours have the front windows that were rounded on the top? Thanks for watching.
@@frugallandlord6974 It had already been replaced with a 8x4 picture window.
I think I'm third owner.
@@ronnisimmons9992 probably built by the same couple of people, the construction is actually pretty good for an old mobile home, at least in my opinion.
You did a good job on this mobile home.
Thanks😀
YOU DID A EXCELLENT JOB ……… I LIKE IT🍒
Thank you so much
It really looks great. I hope you find a good tenant.
Thank you so much.😀
Nice work! FYI, per code you need to install hand rails on both the porch steps.
Thanks for the heads up.
By the way....you wouldn't happen to be anywhere near Michigan would you? lol. wishing I could find someone locally who could do this for me and keep it under $100,000. lol
Thank you so much. No I’m not close to Michigan.
Wonderful work done!! It looks fabulous
Thank you so much 😀
Nicely done, it will be good for many years
Thank you so much, that was my goal to make it last a long time and be something that people would enjoy living there. 😀
Very good ideas, love it, thanks.
@@frugallandlord6974 Welcome
Bravo!!! Nicely done! ⭐️
Thank you so much!
Yeah I appreciate your kind critique, I agree with you for the most part.😀
I would love to live there!!
I will take that as a compliment thanks.
Great job and your room looks great!
Thank you so much 😊
