You can use the same iron - it’s easy enough to clean the iron. But I really prefer a much lighter and cheaper iron for kick. The best are the super cheesy Swix irons with a really thin plate. And I run them at maximum temp. That way it’s fast to work the surface, I don’t need to push down at all, I don’t move the wax around too much, and I can control how much heat gets used.
