GPS and Fingerprint reader would have been a nice addition to this. My friend has customized tablet doc in car, in which u can doc in any tablet and use it as infotainment for music, movies, browsing and map; when done driving u can plug it out and use it as regular tab.
Just bought 2 of these global bad boys for me and my partner, we're very excited. The last tablet I had was a 200 AUD lenovo so this will be a massive upgrade lmao
I've got a Xiaomi Pad 5 and it's the tablet I've liked the best out of all the (many) tablets I've owned (I've always paid under £350 for tablets - I find the value gets worse above that price point). The Pad 6 looks nice, but I remain unconvinced that it's a big enough jump from the Pad 5 to be worth getting (would be nice if there was a fingerprint reader on the power button - something many competing tablets have and about the only thing I thought was missing from my Pad 5). If they can manage another performance boost with the Pad 7 while still keeping the price low, then that'll probably be the one I'll upgrade to. I've had a few Samsung tablets in past (still clinging onto a Tab S5e for a little bit longer - their best value tablet I think they ever released), but Xiaomi are providing far better value for money with their tablets at the moment compared to the current frankly well overpriced mid/high end Samsung tablets.
Is it worth it for note taking? I hope my handwriting can be changed to text though, since my handwriting kinda messy. Gonna use it mainly for study in univ. Tbh I consider Xiaomi pad (cheaper) or using Samsung/ipad 😅 esp since I need to think the budget. Any suggestions?
Your review is amazing. Most of the reviewers don't show the screen of the tablet with this level of detail that you shown. This is very important to compare to another products.
Nice video! Can you make another video, but with more focus on game emulators and desktop thingys, like Word, Excel, browsing, etc? It would be nice to see what's capable with this tablet.
Its funny that iphones removed charger but they still give charger with macbook and ipads but samsung just removed charger from their tablets also. Xiamoi did a great job in providing charger unlike samsung
It's a good tablet! But I still kind of prefer using my 6 year old iPad pro 10.5... It has better gestures, a smoother UX, better multi-window support, fingerprint reader and far better optimised apps. The Mi Pad is sometimes janky and just a tad less good. It's great for the price though. Hope software improvements fix the issues.
heyy will you recommend buying 9th gen Ipad over this? I am confused since both of them are of the same price range, and l don't know which one will be better(l will be using it for study purposes and a little bit media)
@@borntobereal2004iPad all the way. Though old, Apple Pencil is way better than Xiaomi's and and will outlast Mi Pad in terms of software updates, since iirc the Mi Pad only has 3 years worth of security updates. I have it to this day and works perfectly
I've been using mine for 5 months now. Its very smooth. I use it for shool, especially the note taking function and getting a dongle for hdmi and Presentation purposes is amazing. Battery life is good too!!!

Hi ☺️! I have the Xiaomi Pad 6 for almost 100 days now, and I'm impressed! Since I have the Lenovo P11 Plus for two years now, very soon the security patches will be done for...and shortly the end of Android 12. I had to find a successor, and this tablet was definitely the one for me, since I didn't know that Dolby Vision was supported with this device, Dolby Atmos yes, but this was my first time experiencing it. The resolution was magnificent, even though it's not an OLED or AMOLED screen, same 11 inches like the Lenovo P11 Plus, and the upgraded HyperOS in place of MIUI, and Android 14 to boot...and Google supported ( I was planning to get a HWEI tablet, but no Google, no Go... thankfully Xiaomi is in great terms with Google, that's a relief! )! This tablet met all my expectations, no need to get another Lenovo tablet ( I don't think so, since this will have Android 16 in a couple of years, the P12 will only Android 15, any advantage is great for me ), thanks for this review, what an amazing tablet I will be enjoying!
I've got the Pad 5 since it's release, using it every day for call of duty mobile, but with a Playstation controller... Most times it has been a great pleasure for the reduced early bird pricing, many software issues when it came out, but still works fine, even though the heavy usage. Sadly fell on the ground several times, never cracked or anything, pretty impressed with the durability! Biggest downside for me was the usb-c 2.0... Guess i'll buy the upgrade, since Xiaomi is selling it right now for only 300 bucks, which isn't much more, from what I've paid for the Pad 5, about two and a half years ago.

these specs are mostly on paper, typical chinese product. i still have a 2015 12.9 ipad pro that still works as day one and has a much much better sound than this certified atmos xiaomi pad 6 has. as for the screen, same paper specs, in reality it just keep messing the refresh rate all the time depending on apps and some other not kown factors. but still, whatever refresh, the lcd pannel looks middle quality, the black is inconsistent, the software is glitchy, but bundle with keyboard free is a good deal, i can see a decent price/quality ration when buying in bundle with free keyboard or pen so i've kept it. no free keyboard,i would have returned it 100%!

I have the Pad 5 Pro and it is still good. 80% as good as iPad Pro (M1) from the same year and 50% of the price. We have both in my household. A bit odd that the Pad 6 has the same processor as the Pad 5 Pro. I would have expected something faster, but Snapdragon 870 is still more than good enough for now. I'll probably skip this generation and wait for the Pad 7 Pro.

@@junhao66838 Gen 1 is not a good SOC and I would not recommend anyone to buy phones or tablets with this SOC. It has the worst performance drops of all the 8xx series and it throttles way more than it's competitors. It'd be better to go for 8+ Gen 1 which is the real 8 Gen 1 soc in my view or opt for the even better SOC 8 Gen 2.
Im using pad 6 for a week, i wish i get a fingerprint scanner.... Apart from that i want splint screen to be also in up and down two apps in addition to side by side apps in portrait mode.... It will look so good and productive than side by side apps in portrait screen.

Android developers just need to Improve applications for tablets, so we will have better conditions to work with tablets. Microsoft apps for example are a disgrace. And many other apps look weird on a big screen. We need better apps for Android tablets.

So disappointing that this tablet (just received it) doesnt have proper display scaling and is only able to output 1080p at 60Hz even though it has proper HDMI output and USB Type C with 3.2 speeds. The black bars on an external monitor is killing it for me.

I installed a pixel rom in it, days after receiving it, and it's like a pixel tablet with 144Hz, for half the price

Battery life is quite good for a tablet.

Looks really good, but display mirroring as the only video output option is a little underwhelming.
The software is still in early development stage. Hopefully Xiaomi will bring it at some point.

Pad 6 Pro has Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus which is a lot better than 870.

There's no way that you compared the M1 ipad to any android tablets even 😂. It's not even 50% as good as any ipad.

Hi! I just ordered mine. I would like to know if it supports transferring files to external hard drives? I have a 2TB hard drive from Western Digital. My laptop recently died so I am hoping that this device can be a substitute for my laptop at least for a while.
It will not be the same. android now has certain requirements about external drives. Better get another Windows based device.

So disappointing that this tablet (just received it) doesnt have proper display scaling and is only able to output 1080p at 60Hz even though it has proper HDMI output and USB Type C with 3.2 speeds. The black bars on an external monitor is killing it for me.
