Honestly mate, this is the best and most useful review i have found on yt so far. I can see you actually know what you are doing and got quite a few useful informations that are hard to get since nobody mentions them. Most reviews seem to be for people who never saw an android device, people showing you how to enable or disable something in settings and wasting 5 minutes on it, which is a 2 sec google... great review and i just ordered the 256 8 gb version for my dad :) But the whole instagram not working in landscape mode is not a android problem since its also so on ios but its a META problem :P
2 years with my pad 5, no issues and fits well with my usage. Screen and speakers are awesome. Take note I only slapped a tempered glass on it just last month, the screen is still pristine overall, the oleophobic coating just worn out on the part I place my thumb when I play games so I decided to put a nice tg on it and oh boy, looks like brand new again lol will be selling it to my brother in law, eyeing for the upcoming xiaomi pad 6s Pro.

Regarding the horizontal vs vertical pages not being differentiated, this is easily rectified by using Total Launcher , allowing me different experiences given the orientation. Otherwise it is a worthy alternative to the Galaxy S series of which I own several which are much more premium in price. Great speakers.

I was given to understand that you need a sim card. WhatsApp video call with my grandchildren isn't a very comfortable experience on the smartphone as I find it difficult to hold the phone in my hand for longer periods. 2. Another issue with my smartphone with reading is that the font isn't comfortable for my eyes. I'm 70, and want a better reading experience than a smartphone. 3. The other variants have no cellular connectivity including both Pad 6 and Pad 6 pro. 2. Yes since it is an 11 inch display it does have a bigger display and better view on the texts. 3. Yes. The Pad 5 can use the 1st generation xiaomi stylus pen. As for the keyboard, unlike the Pad 6, the Pad 5 has no keyboard specific for it. There are wireless/Bluetooth keyboards for sale although they take quite a while to connect. 4. There are Microsoft apps on android devices, and since the Xiaomi Pads run on Android, they can use Microsoft tools, too. 5. I disagree on "a smartphone with bigger screens" sure it has similar functionality however, there are many things that a tablet can do than a smartphone. 6. Like I said, the Xiaomi Pad 5 has no exclusive keyboard for it. Only Pad 6 has a keyboard for itself. 7. In Philippine pesos both the Xiaomi Pad 5 and 6 are less than 20k pesos. I really hate 2 things of MIUI: 1- I cannot change launcher without losing gestures capability. 2- widgets cannot be resized at my own taste. the resizing is limited on the Mi Launcher. For these unacceptable reasons I sent it back for good.
yeah widgets are pretty much unusable on this MIUI...tried them but they do not look good on screen, very bad allignments...beacs...no wonder it was with free keyboard for the same price...just to make us keep it...
how much on advertisments is it pulling in? I have a Redmi Note7 phone from 2019 and in my experience there are a lot of advertisments just in the in build apps itself. Though im really bummed that all the brands are letting go of jack connectors
Blud, obviously Xiaomi pad 6 takes the win. Here's the comparison: 144 hz vs 90 hz, snapdragon vs exynos, their rams are the same I think, 4 speakers vs 2 speakers, 4 microphones vs 2 microphones, 13 mp vs 8 mp + 2 mp, and IPS LCD vs TFT LCD. Xiaomi pad 6 takes the win.

Hey this tablet can definitely edit videos but it'll depend on the app you use. I don't think Android has very Pro editing apps but if you just want to edit basic stuff it'll get the job done

Its been 6 months I am using it, I purchased the with the full accessories, the problem is the lags, you have to clear the memory each time you unlock it otherwise the whole tab will be laggy. this is really strange how youtubers shows it and how it actually is, when you use it. so not recommending...
I can't say for Xiaomi pad 6 but, I do own a Xiaomi Pad 5, never exceed 60° (or at least very rarely) I tested it on asphalt 9 btw, so I can only imagine Xiaomi Pad 6 is probably better, as of right now, my tablet is at 42° while typing this

Hi, i want to order or pad 6 or pro and i can t decide if is the best choise. The big Con for me is that it doesnt have sim slot because i need a tablet to connect on internet directly from the sim not with wifi (im not always around a router to connect or hotspot from the phone - xiaomi fold 3). I have to work/ verify my situations in excel in any moment i need or just to make a quick phone call so, my question is...pad 6/pro does support esim or the only way to connect to internet is wifi/hotspot? My second choise is samsung tab 9 but the price is high so if you have any ideea about my question please help me with an answer. Thx
I don't think the pad 6 support e sim so your only way to connect to the internet is Wi-Fi i would suggest getting Samsung tab 9 or 8 because they can make calls
@@blockchainoverdrive6090Why tether when you can just use LTE or 5G directly? This is a 5G capable chip but they stopped using LTE after pad 5 pro. LTE also makes up for the lack of GPS. Something that those two Y700 didn't have.

@@RafaelMarcosAderaldoIm using the Xiaomi Pad 6, so i might be biased, but i'd recommend it over the iPad simply because of the 144hz screen. The refresh rate along with good quality IPS display and customizable reading mode goes really easy on the eyes.
@@JAANIFF Again same thing, both are good enough for studying but i'd still take the Pad 6 because of the 144hz display and a most likely cheaper price(at least in my country, here the cheapest iPad is 600€). Android also might give you more freedom than iOS as you might want to install apk's of some studying apps. Just a heads up the Pad 6 does lack a lot of features which i think iPad has like haptics(vibration motor), headphone jack and a fingerprint sensor. If those are really important to you, then consider the iPad.

If you are looking for such a tablet i would suggest going with ipad air with m1 or Samsung galaxy tab S8 or S9 they are definitely more expensive but will last you a long time

To be honest, I was in dilemma between the Pad 6 and Huawei Matepad 11.5. I was close to buying the Pad 6 then I realized that I'm more towards productivity. Hence, I went with the Matepad 11.5, and I must say I am quite happy with the purchase. The reason why I didn't go with the Pad 6 was because I wanna try something new. I'm bored of seeing MIUI and I wanna experience something different without any GMS. Apparently, it's not really that difficult. I don't know why people are struggling without GMS and give Huawei a negative review just because lacking GMS.
This... I have huawei mate 50 pro and I don't see the fuss about the lack of gms. I do have the mi pad 5 tho. But I never had problems with my huawei mate 50 pro. It works just fine and It does everything I need it to. For google apps there's the gbox so.. Unless you're using all google services for your business and work then I don't see any problems. People are too dependent on Gms even those who barely or doesn't even use gms for their daily tasks. They just like to ride the trend without even trying it. But for me even without gms, it does all my work and more. Plus huawei is really good tbh. Slap that gms back on huawei and it will slowly creep behind Samsung and apple no doubt because it happened before they banned huawei.
It's better to buy OnePlus Pad, Vivo Pad 2 or Oppo Pad 2. They have a Dimensity 9000 and is definitely a better processor than the SD 870. It's funny that they put an old processor in top brand tablets.
Just think that this 870 chipset is still providing a beast performance at this present time, dimensity is well perform in just a month after that lag and performance get weaker

8:39 I know a work around that , just download rotation control and enable gaurd mode with fore auto rotation, it will show proper landscape mode

You can Force every program to do landscape with programs like Orientation Control

the first reason happens on all android skins (one ui, oxygen os etc..) im pretty sure its an issue with android or just a common issue with all skins

i have the 6gb version and so far no lag. Maybe you have a lot of apps installed and running in the background?

Hi, i want to order or pad 6 or pro and i can t decide if is the best choise. The big Con for me is that it doesnt have sim slot because i need a tablet to connect on internet directly from the sim not with wifi (im not always around a router to connect or hotspot from the phone - xiaomi fold 3). I have to work/ verify my situations in excel in any moment i need or just to make a quick phone call so, my question is...pad 6/pro does support esim or the only way to connect to internet is wifi/hotspot? My second choise is samsung tab 9 but the price is high so if you have any ideea about my question please help me with an answer. Thx
I don't think the pad 6 support e sim so your only way to connect to the internet is Wi-Fi i would suggest getting Samsung tab 9 or 8 because they can make calls

LTE also makes up for the lack of GPS. Something that those two Y700 didn't have.

Now, the thing is I'm in a bit confusion on between Ipad 10.2 9th gen and xiaomi pad 6. I'm a student and also a part time tutor. The tablet will only be used for - taking notes, preparing/editing class slides, drawing diagrams etc. I don't need the camera and it will never be used for gaming. But I can't compromise with the speed performance.
May I have your valuable suggestion on this regard that which one should I choose?

iPad mini would be easier to hold and also light weight over a longer study session

@@RafaelMarcosAderaldoIm using the Xiaomi Pad 6, so i might be biased, but i'd recommend it over the iPad simply because of the 144hz screen. The refresh rate along with good quality IPS display and customizable reading mode goes really easy on the eyes.

@@JAANIFF Again same thing, both are good enough for studying but i'd still take the Pad 6 because of the 144hz display and a most likely cheaper price(at least in my country, here the cheapest iPad is 600€). Android also might give you more freedom than iOS as you might want to install apk's of some studying apps. Just a heads up the Pad 6 does lack a lot of features which i think iPad has like haptics(vibration motor), headphone jack and a fingerprint sensor. If those are really important to you, then consider the iPad.

If you are looking for such a tablet i would suggest going with ipad air with m1 or Samsung galaxy tab S8 or S9 they are definitely more expensive but will last you a long time

To be honest, I was in dilemma between the Pad 6 and Huawei Matepad 11.5. I was close to buying the Pad 6 then I realized that I'm more towards productivity. Hence, I went with the Matepad 11.5, and I must say I am quite happy with the purchase. The reason why I didn't go with the Pad 6 was because I wanna try something new. I'm bored of seeing MIUI and I wanna experience something different without any GMS. Apparently, it's not really that difficult. I don't know why people are struggling without GMS and give Huawei a negative review just because lacking GMS.

I have huawei mate 50 pro and I don't see the fuss about the lack of gms. I do have the mi pad 5 tho.
But I never had problems with my huawei mate 50 pro. It works just fine and It does everything I need it to. For google apps there's the gbox so..
Unless you're using all google services for your business and work then I don't see any problems. People are too dependent on Gms even those who barely or doesn't even use gms for their daily tasks. They just like to ride the trend without even trying it. But for me even without gms, it does all my work and more. Plus huawei is really good tbh. Slap that gms back on huawei and it will slowly creep behind Samsung and apple no doubt because it happened before they banned huawei.

It's better to buy OnePlus Pad, Vivo Pad 2 or Oppo Pad 2. They have a Dimensity 9000 and is definitely a better processor than the SD 870. It's funny that they put an old processor in top brand tablets.
