I have both of these, and without a doubt, probably my favorite purchases within the last year outside of the DJI air 3 drone. I’m absolutely loving the pocket 3 right now.
Pocket 3 is amazing you don't need to shoot blind to get good quality like you do with iphone or any phone and the focal length on the pocket 3 is much better than iphone and android phones. I know iphone and android phones have a wide angle lens but then the quality is gone. So osmo pocket 3 wins there.

The iPhone has come a long way though.

Having an Apple Watch to use as a remote view of the camera app is great, and the footage looks good, but I still opted for the Pocket 3. I don’t like the idea of relying on my phone for footage in addition to everything else it does. Having a pocket gimbal camera is amazing, and it’s hella fast to turn on and record.

Testing low light without moving the camera at all seems weird. People move when shooting most times. The low light quality with the mechanical gimbal compared to digital stabilization is so much better. I own both of these and love both but at night, there is no comparison.
I'd use the Hohem iSteady M6 with the new iPhone 15 Pro max...problem solved. It's a great gimbal but heavier to carry (with phone) compared to the Pocket 3. For me a great selling point for the pocket 3 is that gimbal and tracking. I've used the dji mobile gimbals in the past but it's a bit complicated to carry around and not so fast to whip out and shoot anytime. Also the mobile gimbal is usually not with me. Second big thing is that DJI pocket 3 can shoot 50 and 100fps which the iphone can not. I live in PAL area so making slowmo indoors is much easier with the DJI.
