I used to have these on lock in my 20s, stopped skating for 6 years and have been back at it for 2 now. I have not been able to get bs flips back yet to where they look decent but this gives me hope
Absolute same with me this was “My” trick with me and my homies and I stopped skating for 15 years and have been back at it now for 4 years and CANT GET THEM!! Ahhhhhh hahahah so frustrating I’ll get them tho I have to for 14 year old Me
I was just watching this video for fun bc I do backside heels more than backside flips but the lighter flick tip has really helped out my backside heels a lot so thanks

I just landed this trick After i learn from your video today !!! that help me a lot Thank!!!! I try for half an hour and it get me!! not so clean but it feel so good.all of your trick tutorial very easy to understand keep it up bro. From Thailand 💪
Hey Tom, thanks for the trick tip. I've been doing backside flips for years but they've always been horrendous. The back foot placement closer to the pocket and further up front foot placement made a huge difference. Can you do a trick tip for switch 360 flips next? Take care.
By far bs flip is my most elegant trick. Have a different approach tho: I just think that I’m going for a simple kickflip, but as I’m about to pop the kickflip, I do a very slight bs carve and catch the flip on the nose. Riding away fakie from that it’s the most rewarding feeling.
I was just trying this the other day after basically learning bigspins after school using ur toes in the center trick (still havent found out how to not slip out or land super sketchy)
When I do backside flips the board cuts into my ankle/upper top of my foot. I feel like I’m flicking with too much of my foot instead of just my toe. This is super annoying because I’m trying to learn the trick and end up opening my scab back up causing it to bleed. Any tips?
Do you have any tip on how to mantain my shoulders straight when trying backside tricks? I know it sounds kinda foolish but it just feels so weird. Nice tutorial btw 👍

14 years old doing this easy ! now homies im 38 and im getn them, people say im to old ! Possessed to Skate man only thing i know. thanks for video you gota dope bs flip.
The angle! I’ve been trying it at the other angle because I thought this would make it easier(less rotation) but it gets in the way of the spin. My bs 180 are one my favorite tricks and I have lots of board control, so are my kickflips. But I have never committed to bs flips… although now 37 I want to be learning them !
I mean guess catching it with back foot first makes it seem legit but as long land it it's still legit lol really doesn't matter to me. Catching it with back foot first makes it easier to bust ass instead of catch simultaneously with both feet on the bolts makes it safer. Just my opinion though. Not really a legit way everybody has their preferences. Overall great tutorial.
@@toms_tutorials I find it easier and safer I've always try keep both feet catching at same time because honestly too me is perfect catch and you will get over fear of boarding coming out from under the individual but even if don't prefer catch with both feet it's still legit. Wasn't knocking nobody's style.
Tom or anyone else, check my videos on my backside flips…they look like varial flip body varial how can I straighten it out and kickflip 90 and finish the 180 rotation. I’m starting to think my whole form for my bs180 might be flawed now I’m not sure

Your explanation makes absolutely 0 sense
@@nono-ry3it negative …it makes perfect sense.

Stoked that you almost got em! Try rolling up at different angles. The right angle should help your body stay more over your board.
@@toms_tutorials Toes in the centre was the break through for me and big spins
@@aaronleghissa so stoked to hear that. That tip comes in use with a lot of tricks!
@@toms_tutorials what other tricks come to mind???
Thank you
yoooooo, ty so much!❤
The goat
Would you do tutorial on nollie heel or nollie kickflio or maybe both in switch?

hii, i have this problem of slipping out in this tricks, can you help fix that please, thanks :)
catching at 90 degrees is the best tip for this trick
ur the best
❤!
Which tip stood out to you most?
Probably the putting my front foot further up and standing on the back toes. Always had mines flat and it was quite the struggle to land one
@@cohngo glad to hear this! Hope these help with your backside flips!

Some people do do it differently and that's totally okay. I think it's sick when people catch it with both feet simultaneously.
