Those buying 8x20 shipping containers can learn a lot from you guys. This is how you lay out a floor plan! I don't plan to have a TV, so I would put a full size dresser and a comfortable arm chair in. I don't need a desk because I don't plan to do any type of work that requires that. This is perfect for me!

I absolutely LOVE the 8x20 Incred’i’Box and after Amanda finished decorating it WOW 🤩!!
There will be other Tiny House Builders looking around at the 8x20 and thinking how the heck are they making these homes so good and so inexpensive!!! Sending you lots of love and prayers to you both and I hope that you sell tons of the 8x16’s and the 8x20’s 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

TOO rude, those builders trying to take pictures on the sly! For goodness sakes, Randy's design isn't a secret. He's shown the inner workings of his factory assembly line, and has been kind enough to show every detail of the build on UA-cam so that potential customers understand the quality and integrity that goes into EVERY Incredible Tiny House. Other builders may try to copy what ITH is doing, but no one will EVER be able to match, or even come close to, the care and customer service that ITH provides.

And he's even said that he welcomes others to try to do the same thing, because they are so much needed now, all across this huge country. There's no way he can fulfill all the demand, and he's a realist.

They probably are taking pictures because it’s easier to see the tiny homes in person than on a video and I bet a lot of the visitors are also taking photos too

I have noticed that there have been many companies trying to do the tapes like Randy. One man was so irritating I just had to turn him off. I enjoy the banter between Randy and Amanda. My sense of humour is like theirs so I watch their videos for entertainment. This is a little different but ver cosy. Like that a loft has been added although I would have to but a railing on the side of the loft like a kids bunk bed so I wouldn't fall out. Even a twin bed downstairs can be done up as a sofa by adding pillows.

Those builders need to realize that there are a lot of the population that cannot afford their expensive homes with no options. This takes people off the streets. NOW we have to continue educating those making the rules for extended living in people's back yards. Thank you Newport Randy, Amanda and the gang ❤️ for giving people hope.

how? people have the key money ? if the money was for down payment on home and 200.for rent like they originaly stated I can see how that would help . But the key money just made it too expensive for me and I was really looking forward to it ,but to bad for me I guess ..just makes it too expensive .

You could mount a pipe under the loft at the foot of the bed to hang clothes, you’ll still have a lot of room underneath for your feet & you can run a track around it for a curtain if you wanna hide it.
Or you could buy a tower shelf, one of those that are about 1 1/2 feet wide and 6 feet tall, turn it side ways (horizontal) & mount it under the loft against the back wall to put folded clothes… or you could even just mount kitchen cabinets under the loft for clothes storage.

@@Jerseygrl1224 Aw thank you so much that’s so sweet of you to say. I’m glad I could help you figure out some solutions for the space.
You know, I can’t remember if I saw it on their (ITH’s) website or in one of their videos, but I know they work with 1 or 2 personal loan companies to help people finance their tiny homes. I’ve never used them before so I can’t say if it’s a reputable company or if their rates are good etc, but it may be worthwhile to look into… I figure if other ITH customers have used them it might be easier to get approved for their personal loans.
Or if you’re one of ITH’s first 100,000 UA-cam subscribers, don’t forget to signup to win their “giveaway house”… in which case you may not have to worry about getting a loan AT ALL if you win 😁.

For your next shows you might want to get some inexpensive easels and make some foam board displays with pics for other versions of the incredibox. The hunting cabin for sure and maybe make one up to look like an old camper ie: the old diner style fold down table-bed thing, etc ( and highlight it as a travel camper and ease of pulling etc) That way people can see the different ways they can use these!

    • @bellaluce7088
      @bellaluce7088 Рік тому +3

@@julianne089 Totally agree that it would be cool to see one with a dining nook to bed conversion at the end!
I have thought of doing that with a counterweight elevator bed overhead as well instead of the loft, as in The Camper tiny house by Build Tiny New Zealand.
In bunk bed mode with the dinette converted to a bed that setup can sleep parents and two kids or up to two adult couples comfortably!
Even for long-term living it would be a great way to have both a comfortable sitting/dining area AND a bed you can just pull down without conversion when you're ready to sleep. I would want a Lagun table mount or some other mechanism to make it easy to lower the table out of the way.

This may very well be the answer to my work/commute dilemma as I could place this completely off grid in Phoenix. It could be my home away from home and I could have my dog with me. You may already know this, but they've mentioned in previous videos that you can add additional windows yourself! Not sure about the placement for structural stability, but it's so cool that these are customizable in so many ways!

Amanda's decorating is A+! I really like the pipe ladder to the loft too. Is there any reason that the shelf space over the fridge has to keep clear for the tankless water heater (love that option better for space saving)? If not, that space would utilize for a closet or the microwave. Amanda, the interior decor is absolutely fabulous! Thank you for sharing!

    • @nicky3989

Well Randy did say he designed it to take a larger fridge freezer which you can see in his other videos, and he has a hanging rail and a couple of coat hangers there for a closet/wardrobe. That space there has evolved in the planning I’m pretty sure I saw a hot water tank there in the early incarnations, I’ve been watching Randy and Amanda a long time I guess 😂

    • @AR-dm7ze
      @AR-dm7ze Рік тому

@@nicky3989 so have I and I've seen the larger fridge. I'm referring to the space over the fridge space where the tankless water heater is mounted to the wall. I asked if there is a problem with needing clearance for the water heater because it would be a good closet space or a place to put the microwave since Randy and Amanda were conflicting with the placement of the microwave in this video. I would definitely rather put hanging clothes there if I couldn't find a comparable sized wardrobe cabinet as my closet.

@@AR-dm7ze lols I would have just put it on top of the fridge just like I have at home. But it is a DIY home as in decorate it yourself. Putting a microwave right there wouldn’t work for a shorty like me, I’d need a ladder just to open the microwave door 😂 .

Finally, been waiting for this forever. Thousands of tiny house customers have been looking for tiny house shells so we can do it ourselves put our own stamp on it. All we needed was a company like Incredible tiny homes to get the construction going where we can take it from that point and not worry about codes and certifications.

I hope you sell a TON of I-Boxes and have safe travels back to TN. Big hugs! ~caden

If you like a small fridge You could move the fridge up towards the tank so it would be on a shelf. Then you could hang a close rack under the fridge. That way the clothes hanging which sometimes look messy will be out of the way and the fridge would be upright better to reach. Just love what you guys have done to the incredible boxes. Amanda I just love the little (( I )) that you came up with to put on T shirts. All the best this weekend and I hope that people that got burned out by fires 🔥 will see this home, and see the value in it. It would be interesting to know how the little town of Paradise has faired i over the last years and if it has been reestablish.

In case it's helpful for anyone, here are some ideas & innovative products I've compiled over years for making an ultra-tiny house feel functional, pretty, and SPACIOUS even for someone like me with a lot of stuff! ; - )
    1) CLOSET BOOM (or self-created) swing-out shallow storage for hanging clothes. Their smallest arm holds up to 30 shirts in only three and 1/2 INCHES deep! (A standard closet is 24 deep!) Can be hung anywhere, even under a window ledge for shirts and folded pants, in a cabinet, etc.
    2) LAUNDRY ALTERNATIVE mini washer & centrifugal spin (vs. heat) dryer + retractable clothes line in bathroom. For non-electric off-grid, they also sell the WONDER WASH.
    3) An elevator or murphy bed instead of the second loft over the couch (some cool visual examples listed at end below!).
    4) LAGUN TABLE MOUNT for easily moveable/removeable extra table or countertop space. Swings easily out of the way and is height adjustable with quick levers vs. screw knobs.
    5) Coffee table with lift-up top for dining or laptop use (= "entertainment center" ; - )
    6) Narrow vertical IKEA SHOE CABINETS (only 7.1 to 8.6 ish inches deep). The Hemnes one looks like cute furniture. : - )
    7) A bookcase, closed cabinets, or panels covering the entire back wall behind the couch since this is the logical place to maximize storage in a tiny house yet is seldom used. Extra long drawers for under couch access, and bedding or long-term storage in space behind back cushions.
    - With a telescoping pole with hook to open doors, fold-out panels with Closet Booms or other storage on them (use heavy duty hinges) make items easily reachable while standing in front of couch.
    - The window placement in the current version of the Incred-i-box is not ideal for back wall storage (especially the side ones), but at least for the the back window, a mix of plants and other items on shelves in front of it could look lovely. (I preferred the original Incred-i-box design with the side windows closer to the kitchen.)
7.5) For maximum storage + a bed on back wall, a horizontal (vs. vertical) murphy bed could go below back wall cabinets/shelves, or the long edge of a daybed could slide beneath it to turn it into a more comfortable couch (see Ana White visual example below).
    - NOTE: It's best to add an adjustable ergonomic slant when using any flat surface for seating, e.g. by putting the mattress support slats on a hinge and adding adjustable height to the frame edge that's below the knees when seated. Ditto back cushions: they should angle backwards slightly.
    8) With no second loft, a vertical murphy bed/bookcase could go on back wall with bed centered under back window for walk-around space on both sides. Would only have to move the back couch cushions then pull it down over coffee table to use it.
    - With an unobtrusive grab loop at the top and a telescoping pole with hook to pull it down, the "wall" over the couch (aka bottom of the bed) could have wallpaper, art, or a mirror affixed to it instead of handles, and the bookshelves could look like built-ins.
    - A strip of molding at ceiling height would unify it all and emphasize the horizontal line over the full length of the wall (unbroken horizontals on short walls (e.g. couches or beds that go the full width between walls) visually create a greater sense of space).
    9) Wall-mount TV on a height-adjustable swivel arm for viewing from kitchen (cooking shows) or couch. Ergonomic height for a TV is the middle of screen at eye level.
    10) Roll-away screen door
    11) SHOWERDOME to prevent steam
    12) NAUTILUS retractable shower door
    13) Telescoping collapsible ladder for tuck-away loft and roof access
    14) Glass-front cabinet(s) in kitchen or behind couch with LED lights inside for depth and glow (more spacious feeling than closed cabinets without the dust of open shelving).
Optional etched glass-effect plastic film for more or less concealment and design flexibility. For full concealment with a decorator touch: cloth, wallpaper, or contact paper facing out from behind glass.
    15) As evidenced in this video: lamps (or sconces) make things look homey! : - ) Also art, plants, and throw pillows
    16) Large mirrors (even a full wall) for more spacious feeling, and/or smaller ones to bounce light
    17) For off-grid/composting toilets: Store composting cover material in a wall-mounted Ikea shoe cabinet or other storage that opens out partially *over* the toilet bowl to transfer with less scattering and bending over. A high-walled flour scoop works well.
    - For traditional toilet-style and all-in-one ease (no urine diverters or expensive composting toilets), a self-built BAMBOOLOO-style elegant wooden toilet can be used with compostable bags. Loveable Loo is a boxier but similar concept.
    - Especially for travel, a tall metal pot with compostable bags instead of a plastic bucket inside offers easier cleaning and less odor transfer.
    - Never overfill a bucket-style composting toilet, as liquids are heavy.
    - The Humanure handbook and comprehensive website (which has the contents of the book for free, plus videos) are amazing resources. The book was even recommended for gardeners by The New Yorker!
Inspiring Elevator and Murphy Bed Designs on UA-cam:
    - The Camper tiny house by Build Tiny in New Zealand has an awesome counterweight bed that you can just pull down with your hands (no electricity or manual winch needed).
Can be used in bunk bed mode with fold-out couch/bed below to accommodate two adult couples
