Johnny, you continue to be the best.
So many other UA-camrs eat hot peppers or sauces, freak out, and even throw up, and that's about it.
    It's all about the drama.
You, on the other hand, provide so much more in the way of both information and entertainment (not just about peppers, but about you and your life, and that's part of why we all love you).
These "so you wanna be a chili head" videos are so informative and so helpful.
You give those of us that are getting started 'chasing the heat' actionable steps towards increasing both tolerance and enjoyment.
In addition, your perspective of kindness, support, and 'raising up the next generation' is so welcome and so refreshing.
I love that you're so respectful and inclusive of people that aren't chili-heads. I've definitely started talking about peppers more to my family and friends since I started watching you. I'm feeling like an ambassador, and that's a good thing.
You're probably doing more to increase knowledge, awareness and enthusiasm for the world of peppers than anyone else I've seen, and your subscriber numbers seem to reflect that, which is really exciting.
Thank you for all you do, Johnny, we really love and appreciate you!
P.S. And in answer to your question from Part 1, I'm currently chasing the heat (almost solely with sauces) that contain a mix of mainly jalapeno, habanero, and ghost peppers. Your videos are making me see that I'm not aware of the 'pure taste' of the peppers I'm enjoying, and I need to pursue some tasting of straight-up pods. That may be something I follow up on in the days to come.

Hey Johnny, just wanted to give you a shout-out my man, you've been a huge inspiration for me in my journey to chase the heat. When I was a kid I couldn't handle anything with any level of spiciness -- even peppermint was too strong for me! As I grew up I started to slowly gain appreciation for peppers, starting mostly with jalapenos, thai chiles, and habaneros. Even before I started watching your channel I was already in a place where I loved to push my limits with spice, looking for that overwhelming feeling of well-being, and actually enjoying the burn rather than just trying to endure it. The first time I was actually able to taste a habanero through the heat was a transformative moment for me. I couldn't believe how tasty it was!
Your content opened up my appreciation even more, and got me to experiment with things like fresh carolina reapers and pepper extracts. I've connected with some local growers in my area and gotten the chance to try out some pods that just blew me away with their complexity and flavor. It is really something special to my life now. This is something I might have never come to appreciate in the same way otherwise, and in big part I feel like I have you to thank for it. I just recently ordered one of your Tubes of Terror, and I couldn't be more stoked to try it out! God bless!

    I am not a chilli head.......yet.
However, I have enjoyed your content for a few years now. The way you carry yourself and present who you are is addicting to watch. Down to earth, genuine good person.
I grew a few jalapeño plants a cupple years back and they turned red. Holy crap were they hot. Super sweet and crunchy but not chewy. Totally different than the green ones you can get in the store. I am not sure if this has much to do with it but where I planted them was the same spot that my family grew roses for many years. I think it played a part in how they turned out. The soil was perfect for roses, so the pepper plant just went crazy and made some crazy good jalapeños.
    Anyways....
I will be on the bus soon. I just am walking slowly to catch it. Heh

Love your channel sir! I'm not a chili head yet, but VERY interested. I've just begun with peanuts coated with habanero powder. Up to handfuls of them, and I'm loving the heat that isn't too hot, but very invigorating and challenging for me. I'll take another step soon with ghost pepper peanuts, and eventually work up to pieces of habenero pods. You have made want to experience this! Thanks much..

Non-chili head here... i know im SUUPER late to the game here but i just found thisCTH channel last week when i saw the instant regret sauce review and ive been cycling through and cant get enough!! You inspire me to become a chili head for sure, i do love heat but im reluctant to pain lol. As an ex heroin addict comfortability and numbing myself has been a crutch in the past, but watching these videos really makes me want to expand my limits. I remember as a teen eating a sliver of habanero on pizza and felt like i was bleeding from every orifice in my head, butnow a habanero os kind of my likit, my comfort zone, good heat but not much pain. The new diablo sauce from taco bell ive been loving, about 5-6 packets on a chalupa and i love it, plenty of heat but notuch pain,id like to start trying something hotter but not torturing myself jumping straight to ghost peppers or reapers lol. If anyone has any suggestions on something i can kimda level up with withiut diving too hot right away id really appreciate it =] only thing is i will have to order whatever i do try so thats been my setback,i dont know where to start. In northern pa and dont have access to different pods, some sauces are available but i will need to order as i find stuff that isnt in stores nearby. Johnny scoville you have inspired me to hop alomg for the ride and chase more heat =] any input would be greatly appreciated from anyone who can suggest what to try next, at habanero/diablo sauce level now being like my 6-7 for toleramce, who can point me to the next level, maybe like an 8 if i can handle 350,000shu without pain. Id like some pain but not torture hahaha.. anyways im rambling, thank you for all that you do! Im looking forward to riding this train :)

Great video as always Johnny! It's funny how the grass is greener on the other side, I get the hiccups when I eat hot peppers whereas you don't. I want to be able to hold my composure like you do but unfortunately I can't. Have a great day Johnny! About to eat some scotch bonnets I picked up today. Keep chasing the heat! Cheers

I'm not a chili head currently but Because of your videos I am going to start my journey into the chili world. I was wondering once I build a tolerance what are some good websites to order hotter sauces and pods from that you couldn't get in store

Johnny,I've just found this oldish video, the love you have for your passengers is beyond amazing, best is,WE love you back fella.
    Love from Hulme Walfield Cheshire,England.
Oh,my son in laws favourite chippy does chilli 🌶 cheese chips,THICK cut (English) chips, smothered in jalapeño peppers and cheese, hmmm,to die for,the chippy won't go hotter than jalapeño,(heat tolerances)unless you pre order and ask him,he'll then ask you to specify the pepper you want, and then,he'll make to order.

I love how chili's have different burns the most intense burn I've felt was from a thai chili and plugged my ears and started ringing with a instant head rush. I have not tried a super hot yet but I've tried most of the under a million club.

Hi Senior Scoville, Iam starting up me chilihead journey, I had eaten sauces and stuff but now I own 145 pepper plants out of 33 varieties so Iam building up my grind to eat the pods but yet not so ready I can endure eating a Orange Habanero if I have other things to eat besides it, I also figure that Iam not ready to swallow the hole pepper one shot! So the slicing helps ! no milk after ! no panics but man it's hot . But you are right on the taste , I now find it diffrent Iam at my 4th Habaneros so about one a week for now ! soon gonna try a harder pepper too !

I’m a professional French horn player and have always avoided mouth burning foods but I wanted to try. Now with COVID shutting down my job I really want to start. Your guidance and beautiful way of being has me looking at peppers at the market. Thank you for all you do. I’m just deciding which pepper bottom gets to be first.

Sorry I’m commenting on all of your videos, but this is truly great content. The point about golf is a fantastic comparison. I can remember when my dad came back from a food fair (like a country market type thing) when I was around 20 (many years ago) with some Habanero Salsa. At that point I hadn’t even heard of that pepper. He warned me, but I ate a full tablespoon of it. I was dying; but somehow it got me addicted. Still cant eat a whole habanero, much less a Reaper, but this video and the previous one will get me there. Quick question: what ever happened to pepper X? I heard about it years ago, and I believe it was created by the same guy who made the reaper, but supposedly much hotter (2.5MM SHU?). But I haven’t heard anything in years on it.

Johnny I tell people all the time who are not a chili head to check out your channel. Not because I want them to become Pod People, I am coining that term for your use feel free. ;) Its because of the person you are and this video is a prime example. We have all been through hell lately with CoVID and lockdowns and there are many folks out there needing kind words. So I send folks your way because I have never heard you speak poorly of anyone or anything.

A Jalapeno for me is a huge fire in my mouth. I really like the taste of peppers but cant handle the heat. This summer 2022 i decided to be a chilihead and i have eaten some Apache with mabye 30-70k shu. I sweat so much but i appreciate the taste of the chili

Just started to grow chilli plants with my dad during quarantine in Austria. We both like spicy food and want to expand our knowledge about chillies. Our crops are starting to show now. Some of them are lemon chilli, hot chocolate and reaper. Love to see your videos, maybe we will be able to eat our chillies raw some day :D

Hey Johnny. Newbie trying to chase the heat. Biggest problem I am having is any time I eat heat (jalapeno, ghost pepper, or hot sauce) my eyes start watering. Every time. I have been eating jalapeno hoping to kill the crying but every time. Is this like the hick-ups or is there something I can do. Love your videos and love your content. Keep chasing the heat.
