11-14 F150 Factory Remote Start Install!!

Thanks for the videos, very informative. Everything you are doing to your truck I am slowly doing the same exact things to mine. Same year too. You even saved me some $$, as I was going to buy the key separately... and have go to the dealership twice (brake controller and remote start).

So I bought the kit from your suggested eBay dealer - asked my teenager daughter to view your video and 15 minutes later she's all done! Thanks for helping me but more so helping my daughter learn a thing or 2 about fixing trucks and stuff :) - Today she has an appointment at the dealer to enable the remote.

Just got back from Ford. It took 20 minutes to cut two keys and program. The guy quoted me at $200, but luckily, he was out sick so I didn't get over charged. $80 in and out... thank you so much for the video!!!

Damn. It's almost 11PM and I went to check to see if I had the pressure switch on my 2014 f150. Checked and I got it. So, that means I'm good on just getting the kit you bought.

It's interesting that the remote start antenna is actually plugging into the same module that reports tire pressures. Interesting way to make a required module serve a secondary purpose. I cracked open that module in my kit (using a spudger) it really is just an antenna.

Best and easiest add-on I have done yet but I recommend getting the extension wire to run the antenna to the headliner. I can start my truck a little over 300 ft away with it in the headliner.

I'm fixin' to get a 2012 F150 XLT with the 5.0 V8, and I've been watching your vids to get some ideas. I'm also getting an enclosed trailer (not sure about size yet) but the trailer brake install and the remote start install vids are great. Thanks for being detailed and taking it step by step. Good video. Bought a 2013 F150 yesterday and I want remote start. I found one online and it said to hit your "lock" button 3 times to start the truck. So, just for fun, I tried it, as-is. My truck started right up!! So happy it is already there and I don't need to buy one.
