$300 is fine for a quality shoes, handmade. I have a boot leather and a loafer that each cost $300 a pair. These can be resoled and will last long. The shoes in this video are low-quality trash shoes, it's Nike, it's trash.
Each of their own. There is no “better to this and that”. Like Why watches? Why not cars why no properties why not rare diamonds..

To this guy, he say that people look at sneakers before making eye contact. Well, maybe that's for him. In the real world and majority of people, people don't really care about your nike sneakers.
That's reality. Just go to a mall, or a mrt train. People just don't care what you wear. It's easy for people who are in the sneaker hobby to find all sorts of reasons to validate their hobby. Real fact is...nobody cares.
The thing about a shoe being rare is due to the quantity of it being manufactured, it doesn't make it look nice. Some rare sneakers have multi colors and wierd designs...or some just look plain normal. Don't even look nice at all. If one just buy sneakers just because it's rare, it speaks alot of one shallow mindedness.
An ugly shoe becomes nice just because it's rare? That's stupidity.
If you are tall and handsome wear cheap clothes also get attention, if you short and ugly wear however expensive also nobody will look at you

Depend on how one define rich in life. This can be an expensive habit to some but not to others. Some people collect shoes. Others collect antiques and gold bars and one of such items can be worth a good portion of the wall and cabinet collection of a sneaker fan etc. It all depends on perspectives.
