It absolutely inspired all the video game music these days. Its influence can be seen in something entirely different like Mass Effect.
This put happy tears in my eyes. I enjoyed this game with my former fiancé. We laughed, smiled, and enjoyed it so much. We played when we could in our busy schedules. Halfway through the story, she left. without warning, without a trace. Disappeared like I never exist, and hasn't reached out at all. I dropped the game, and haven't played it since March when all this happened. But one day, I'll pick it back up and be able to enjoy it. This video helped me thoroughly to smile at memories, instead of dwelling. So thank you for that! (And sorry for the rant, just needed to let it out)

Even after all these months I am still stunned with just how beautiful this game's soundtrack is. It's like a dream, it easily deserved best soundtrack of the year at the game awards.

I thought the original in 97 was amazing and they made everything better I can’t believe what they did
Sometimes I think about the people who played Final Fantasy VII as kids who for whatever reason didn’t make it for the release of Remake and especially Rebirth. When I was playing the original and imagined what it would be like fully 3D like Ocarina of Time with realistic graphics, *this* is EXACTLY how I had it pictured. So grateful I was able to live to experience this.
I can relate! I felt the same way the first time I entered Kalm City. I was grateful to experience the upgraded 4D version of the original Final Fantasy VII. I only hope to live long enough to see upgraded versions of Final Fantasy VIII, IX, and X.
Rebirth was truly the correct title for this game. I played the original in ‘97 and playing this game recaptured the same sense of awe and amazement I felt playing it on the PS1. Truly a masterpiece on how to properly remake a game.
Reminds me of a time without constantly having to be productive, make my family happy, sleep deprivation, bills, debt, and everyday stress. Bittersweet nostalgia. I miss my childhood.

In 1997, I felt so "kalm" and gentle after hearing the music that I couldn't leave town. Now, I use this song as a lullaby for my daughter.

I love this track. I ride a bicycle 16km to work while listening to the Cosmo Canyon area music, and then on my way home from work, I listen to this track. It's the perfect commuting theme at the conclusion of a long day.

3 months ago I remember getting past the flashback just eager to step out into Kalm to hear this. And I spent a good 10 minutes wandering around just to listen to this track 😂 this song has to be like the second theme to this game to given how many variations this has 😂 only now i reached endgame and i really don’t want to finish it
