    When I bought the SAMSUNG EL MARCO, I didn't think I could have a good movie experience because of its matte screen, but I was really surprised. Well, everything looks incredible.
    I had seen and seen different models, some with micro led; but I told myself that if the difference in price was not that much, it is because the visual experience must be good, it also has all the features of high-end televisions, 120HZ screen, Dolby Atmos, 40W of power, Commands by Voice, One Connection, Artificial Intelligence and QSimphony for a more immersive experience.
    The truth is that it is a product that I recommend blindfolded and because of the matte screen, what I have noticed is that it does not cause visual fatigue, because what use is such a bright television if it is for your room and the television will be less than three meters away to view its content.
    So I went with the 65'' version and it's beautiful.
    It was love at first sight.

      I hadn't really thought of it, but I agree that overly bright viewing does cause visual fatigue. Yet another reason to get the Frame. Thanks for sharing your observations and experiences.

    It literally says on a product page that it has "Quantum HDR" hence it has HDR and most likely its certified for HDR10+ content

    Hi Fomo, thank you for all the great work you do for all of us. Was curious if I misheard but you said that the Frame is SDR only? Is that correct? Amazon and the link you provided mentions that it is a QLED with HDR. A little confusing so wanted to check. Was thinking of getting a 65” for a bright living room to show art and watch tv. Thank you again for all you do

      I'm equally confused. The specs for the Frame show that it supports HDR10 and HDR10+ and Rtings provides metrics.
      However, I have seen comments from owners that allude to the fact that only SDR is supported in portrait mode.

    • @stopthefomo
      @stopthefomo  2 роки тому +3

      No, The Frame can receive HDR signals but it would resemble SDR because it simply cannot handle the dynamic range and peak brightness required of HDR. You'd be better off watching HDR content in SDR as it may appear too dark depending on the content

    Hi @Fomo, love the content. I bought a 55 inch 22 frame and really like it. Unfortunately I'm waiting on my third TV. The first one had a horrible dirty screen effect. Looked like someone rubbed oily fingers across the screen. The second came with dead pixels on arrival. I'm playing that lottery and hoping the third is better. For watching content those screen defects aren't an issue but it's an eye sore when displaying art. Do you know if poor quality control is a thing for the frame 22 tv? Seems crazy to me that Samsung wouldn't have tighter control over a tv that's meant to be on displaying art. Thanks.

    @Fomo - I enjoy your videos - however this one seemed misleading. I can take your word regarding it's use to show artwork. However, you said it's also your favorite TV (despite owning an S95b) - how can you prefer the Frame for RV viewing over the S95b? It sounded like you appreciate the convenience as this is the TV that you happen to have in your workspace. However, if you had an S95b in your workspace - and wanted to take a TV break - wouldn't you prefer watching on the S95b over the Frame?

    • @stopthefomo
      @stopthefomo  2 роки тому +4

      Favorite means I use it the most for watching regular SDR content (news, sports, youtube) over the S95B as follows:
      (1) in a bright mixed use room with overhead lights, S95B and QN90b shows annoying reflections which detracts
      (2) YES, with HDR movies I would definitely take the time for the S95B, but for streaming guilty pleasures like older shows, Pennyworth or Bridgerton, it really doesn't matter
      (3) I'm too lazy to leave my editing room when waiting 20 minutes for video export/rendering, I just spin around hit power and the art display switches over to stream the local news or youtube or whatever
      (4) If The Frame came in QD-OLED, then the QD-OLED version would be my favorite TV - best of both worlds
      (5) S95B has lots of QC issues like bent panel, warping, etc. which affect the ownership experience whereas The Frame is straight up trouble free - there's major points for this

    • @cgott42
      @cgott42 2 роки тому

      @@stopthefomo That makes sense - do you rotate the frame screen when watching - or live with the tiny size - as the widescreen image on the portrait mode should really tiny?

    65" The Frame LS03, Doesn't work as advertised, Samsung support is non existent.
    I've had a 3 month battle with Samsung support, they really are just robots who don't know anything about the products they are selling! they just hand you off to the next robot who reads the same trouble shooting cheat sheet.
    The TV won't even turn on, It failed while on a video call with Samsung, they witnessed it fail, and the tech support won't come out and repair it.
    When it did turn on The Motion sensor in Art mode does not work as advertised and when questioned about this the tech representative said we have to wait for other people to complain before we fix it!
    All in all a very disappointing experience.
    My advice is buy a different brand.

Unless you're watching tv outside in the sun the matte screen makes the picture quality worse. Ended up returning it. Consumer Reports doesn't even recommend The Frame.

    I want to use this TV in portrait mode with OLD AppleTV to display the screensaver which shows movie trailers to make it like the trailer posters at the movie theaters. Can you have the image/video zoom in to fill the screen in portrait mode? I understand you’ll trim out the side of the picture, but if you’ve seen the trailers on the original AppleTV you won’t cut out anything.
