Looks like your is not dimming at night properly in dark. I had 43" 2023 and motion and light sensor DON'T work. I have 32" version and it work like it should in Art Mode (full range of dimming and detects people in a room). How to test it? Cover light sensor with hand and see how much it will dim. It's should go almost completely dark and after longer time it will turn off (if you enable it).

I like the fair and honest review. I have the 65" 2020 Frame with a gold ornamental frame from decotvframes and we love it. The 2020 and newer are QLED tv's, so they are pretty good. The app is a bit quirky, but you really don't work with the app too much. The screen reflects a bit, but not much more than other tv's. It is a really cool tv, which doesn't look like a tv. We're probably going to buy one or two more when the 2022 mat version comes out.
I bought the 43" in 2020 to replace a picture frame on the wall. We have always had a nice sized picture frame (we scroll pics from a USB stick). When I heard that there was a product that wasn't a cheap picture frame I bought it. The review here is great but the one thing I bought it for doesnt work well. You are supposed to download the pics from the memory stick to the internal memory and there is not much. I can select the memory stick and play the pictures from there but there is something that causes the picture selection mode to reset and go back to the beginning of the picture set. I have tried renaming the pictures, sorting out extra large pics but still the same thing. No random, you just get what the frame plays in order of the pics on the memory stick. The picture quality is far better than the units we have had in the past but again why couldn't they have put a bit more effort into the picture viewing functionality. About once a year I jump on forums etc to see if there has been a firmware update but nothing.
If I want to display my photos like a rotating slideshow, can I do it right off the usb stick instead of saving it to the tv? I assume, I will have capacity also with the usb stick right?
Hey Brother, loved your review! I was a bit confused by your comment near the end about the TV software being fast since you mentioned earlier that you use a Chromecast with it. In fact, you made this comment about the TV software while showing the Chromecast remote in your hand. Did you ever use Samsung's built in operating system at all, or have you used the Chromecast from the very beginning? I've heard bad things about Samsung's OS, and was planning to use a Chromecast if I get this TV. Thanks again! You guys are cute. I appreciated that your comments were less about technical performance and specs, and more about living with this TV in daily life. Keep up the good work.
I used the Samsung one occasionally, but I just didn’t like the interface, it was fast but Google just has better software so I prefer it. Thanks for the comment! Means a lot
I've got the Samsung 43" 2021 Frame. I've placed it out out direct light so sun glare is not an issue. Impossibly thin cable buried in the wall makes it look seamless and super-flat on the wall (just ignore the big black hub in the cupboard!!) As with all QLED's, you do have to watch it pretty much front on for the best picture which is excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I want to buy the tv for my mom. Is it possible to log on from outside the wifi network the tv is on (i.e. remotely) and change the pictures? My idea is to periodically update the pictures with pictures of my life. Also, does the tv come with the wall mount or is that a separate purchase? Finally, is there any kind of child lock? Because my mom is known to push the wrong button, and then can no longer use the tv and I am not in the same state to come and fix it. For example, is it possible to setup the tv so that it shows pictures, but then if the apple tv remote is pressed it displays that signal, but then eventually goes back into art mode? In other words, if there was no remote at all and was never turned on or off, it would still function?
Which one you prefer among Samsung QLED Q70D vs FRAME LS03D. Paying extra for FRAME TV is worth compare with Q70D? (Not for Gaming). How about the picture clarity in Frame TV compared with QLED?
Seen a few of these now and it definitely works best as an accent TV. So maybe something near a common area or kitchen where you could employ the TV for Trivia games, Music playlist display, Cooking recipes, Sports.
Thank you guys for the review! I see you can plug a USB drive to have your picture as slideshow, do you know what is the maximum capacity the TV supports to have a USB Drive, and how much space you have to upload the images via the SmartThings application?
My worry is if it’s a photo frame it needs to be eye level when standing as in when you look at a painting. But when used as a tv you want it sofa eye level and not crane your neck. How do you position it against other art, the solution tends to be surround it immediately with other pictures not sure personally on that look
Thinking about getting the 2023 model. Reading some negative comments about longevity on Samsung's site. How has your model fared over the past 2 years? Thank you for the content!
Thanks for the candid video. I found it helpful. I have one question about the TV at night. Say, you have this mounted in a bedroom and you like the art during the day, but at night (after 11 pm - 8 am) you don't want the art to illuminate since you might just be reaching for a glass of water. Is there a setting for that or do you just have to power off the TV (and consequently, power it back on if you want to art during the day?)
Hey Randy! Great question. The TV automatically turns off when the lights get dark. There is a automatic sensor. So if your lights were turned off and you got some water the night light might pick it up (the motion detector) but as soon as the light is off the tv would go off as well. Worst case scenario you can just turn the tv off for the evening and turn it back on when you want! Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 👍
@@BrotherBrownok so can you turn it off this setting? I am just getting and waiting to arrive the 2024 one … normally I turn off the lights when I am streaming big events for example and good movies … should I made my lights dimmed to the lower level ? I don’t know …
Hey man thanks for the info. I bought some LG OLEDs recently and they boasted their art mode. I put one in my office as I’m big into NFTs and digital art and wanted to display them. Come to find out their art mode is only their art and it flips from picture to picture. You can’t have a static piece of art to display and can’t upload any. Quick question, does Samsung have the ability to do like a high quality “screen saver” mode. For instance, where it does some motion or moving art? If not already on the TV, any apps that you know about to do this?
Hey Andrew ya that sucks. Sometimes you just want to show off one picture it looks more legit than a slideshow. This tv is great for that. As for the high quality screen saver, I think you are out of luck. Samsung really should get on that because that would be awesome to show off your nft where it keeps spinning forever. They have a mode that has preset motion videos that you can set to play for a few hours but I don’t think you can add your own currently.
an informative review, i've been eyeing up this TV for years now, finally moving house and know it'll compliment my living area beautifully! Also your voices are so calming :)
With Samsung the Frame, is it possible to make your own slideshow of your digital art? I have a couple NFTs which are GIFs, videos and images. Does the software support to upload or stream those, put the videos in a loop, and basically show every NFT for 30 seconds before moving on to the next
Hey Eegii, the box is in the room behind my tv. The box is probably within 5 feet of the tv and the remote works great! It has a sensor on the front of the tv so I’ve never had a delay with the remote. I probably am 20 feet away from the box when I use the remote!
I don't understand how you have this tv hanging without the one connect cable dangling down? You need one connect box to power tv and the one connect cable is not rated to be hidden behind a wall. So how on earth have you done it?
Thanks for the review! Do you have any issue with glare from windows or interior lighting? I’d love to have this is our living room but we have several windows, and I noticed you could see your hanging light pretty easily in some of your shots.
Hey Gavin, great questions! When I’m sitting down it doesn’t bother me but there is some glare when the sunsets. The 2022 model coming out this year is supposed to have a film on the tv to drastically reduce the glare. It might be worth your time to wait till it comes out!
Thanks for the review. We've had our Frame TV for almost a year. I still have it on the legs it came with and sitting on top of our fireplace. I want to put it on the wall above the fireplace but need it to have motion as it's in the wrong position to watch it comfortably up there. I really wish Samsung would come out with a wall mount that had full motion for it. I'm lost trying to find one.
@@krishnachaithanyareddy8575 We've had it over two years now and have not had any problems with it at all. We moved our couch and now have it on the wall but lower down with art work around it.
Hey Astar. 1. You can connect your Apple laptop to Apple car play and I believe you can now cast your pc. I’m not 100% sure because I don’t have a pc laptop right now. 2. I have the 55 inch tv 😄
@@BrotherBrown how far do you sit from the 55 in? I'll be sitting 15 feet from my tv, which is kind of far. I'm thinking 55 would be too small to view as a tv, while the 75 may be too big for a picture frame that it wouldn't blend in with the home decor. Looking at getting the 65.
@@cassysamel3914 65 probably would be good for you. I have a 55 inch and it’s fine from about 16 feet away. I didn’t have room to get the 65 inch though. I don’t think you would be disappointed getting a little bit of a bigger screen!
For high end Samsung panels you can do it since 2012 with media content compatible with Miracast (mostly android devices).. And since 2016 it works seemlesly like mirrored monitor for Windows and android.. Apple products were just late to that party.. Yet no matter if you use one or another.. ideally you should go with wired ethernet to the TV to avoid WiFI overlapping as much as possible.
My new Samsung frame has a problem in picture mode. If the room is sunny the picture is fine but when it is dull in the room the picture darkens. Can I rectify this in some way. Your help would be welcome. Thank you. UK
Hey Liz, I know you can change the preferred brightness in the settings. It may help a bit. Look into that when you are selecting what picture you want to set up and maybe that will help 😀
A great honest, refreshingly unsponsored review. Regarding the picture displays...is it possible to display personal photos by loading into a flash drive and plug into the usb port rather than uploading rhem to samsung?
I purchased the Samsung 75inch 2021 frame Tv, love the way it sits flat on the wall, but my only grip the motion detection doesn't work, if i turn on the lights it will turn on then, but just passing by the motion detection doesn't work.
@@BrotherBrown nope the 75inch 2021 frame Tv sensor, is located on the bottom right when facing the TV, the art only activate if I turn on the lights but not motions, but this the second set i had the first one did the same thing Samsung replaced it, but it's doing the Same thing but I don't worry about it, i did see online other people having the same issue, other than that i love the frame Tv.
@@polofunk interesting, our 2021 55" is the same, only light affects whether or not the art turns on, not motion. The only time it's been an issue is on very cloudy overcast days, we have to turn on lights in our living room or the TV doesn't display the art.
Is it support also 120hz 4k for gaming ?? Because i am about to buy one but can't make a decision between the frame and q70a and both are same price but which one is better i dunno know ??
Question! Do you think you could place the one connect box into the wall behind the tv? (Cut out a spot in the drywall behind the tv) Hoping to put this on a bedroom wall where my power outlet would sit behind the tv. I dont have anywhere to place the one connect box and plan to use it as a smart tv so no external devices. Thoughts? Great content, following for more!
Ya that should work, just be careful with the wire in the wall. I cut a hole and the wire runs down the wall in my bedroom so it’s not in the wall. The on connect box is there. Hope this helps!
@@XavierWoodsofIndianapolis I ended up going ahead with creating a space in the wall for it. Made sure to give it decent ventilation etc... and has been working like a charm. I did recently see that there is an in-wall mount for the connect box. not sure if its from samsung or third party but that would def be the way to go had I seen it prior. might still go that route if I find the time. zero wires and no entertainment center nearby really makes it blend in with the frame collage.
Is the SmartBox required if you aren't connecting anything else to the TV? I just want to install the TV and have it run off wifi...no cable or HDMI connectors. Is that possible?
Very disappointed with Samsung’s after sale service. The TV comes with a FREE redemption of frame… I contacted customer service to order the bevelled customised frame but their response was always out of stock and offer will expire soon unless I pay for it with other retailers.
Great review! I've got the same TV in 55 inch and it was superb. One question, if I watch HDR content (in netflix, hbo, disney, etc), the TV is become dimmer, sometimes it's too dark to watch. Been searching for solution but found nothing. Is your TV experience the same? Appreciate for your reply.
Hey Kevin, I have not noticed that before. I’m pretty sure you can adjust the brightness in the settings. At least for the art mode you can. Maybe turn that up and that may solve your problem?
I just heard about this tv a week ago....where have I been and now I want it in my house yesterday! Thanks for the honest review. Also I would be nervous too about the staircase but it looks pretty solid hanging up; nice spot too. Also agree, great gift for a woman as I do not like the ugly black box in my living room.

NEO Qled has better quality because of the MiniLED panel. , the Frame has a VA panel so the angle view is very different. but, if you have not brought the Tv yet, i highly recommend you an OLED TV for sure!
How did you hide the cords? And also, my Samsung Frame has a small signal thing with the Samsung brand on the left frame. Does the frames you can buy to the TV hide the Samsung mark on the original frame? (I hope you can understand my writing).
Unless u have an electrictrian pre-wire your walls then there's not really no other way to hide cords I had mines done during construction u can still have it done after but they would have to cut your wall open

Bought a house with a Frame TV already installed. Decided the audio was so flat and pathetic that it needed a sound bar. Realized that with the remote mounted HDMI/optical outputs that a soundbar is nearly impossible to set up. You can pair the tv to the soundbar with bluetooth, but then you need two remotes to to watch and control the sound. The other option would be to mount the remote HDMI/optical box behind the tv just to be able to connect the soundbar to HDMI or optical. Stupid, Spend less on a tv and get more real world options.
Really liked your honest review. I am planning for 65" but not sure if the size will give the feeling of frame hung on wall or it's going to look oversized? 🤔
Thanks Sandeep! I really wanted to get the 65 inch but it didn’t fit my space. I’d get a ruler and see what it would look like in the room before you buy!
My Frame tv after 2.5 years began to on its own, turn off, then back on repeatedly. Authorized TV Tech/Repair came over and said panel shot. Samsung reply to Electronics Store where I purchased it said "too expensive to repair". Good thing I purchased a 5 year extended warranty. Got a full credit and now enjoy a Sony. Purchased another 5 year extended warranty on that one. * Buy extended warranty, most tv's will eventually fail.
Hang a picture light above it, but don't plug it in. People will think the light is lighting the screen!

an informative review, i've been eyeing up this TV for years now, finally moving house and know it'll compliment my living area beautifully! Also your voices are so calming :)
I don't get it, did you place it on the stairs? how to watch it?
With Samsung the Frame, is it possible to make your own slideshow of your digital art? I have a couple NFTs which are GIFs, videos and images. Does the software support to upload or stream those, put the videos in a loop, and basically show every NFT for 30 seconds before moving on to the next
thanks for the review. new upcoming samsung frame is to have substantially better anti glare properties.
are there any issues with the OS and strange Ads coming through ?
what about the sound?
The sound is fine, I haven’t put a sound bar on it yet and it works good. Is it amazing? No but it does the job pretty well
Thanks for nice review. How does this stand against Sony x85j for 55in screen? Mainly for gaming and movie watching.
Where is your cable?
Can you please show me where the box is? Hoe far is it? And is it easy to control with the remove control? Thank you!
They put it in the wall
QUESTION: Where does everyone put the little "brain" box - because I cant ever see other people displaying it (including @BrotherBrown)
Mine is placed in my room behind the tv. It’s open there. That’s where I have a good fit 😄
Thanks for this review, do you know if the Philips Hue Sync TV app works on the Frame ?
Why don't people ever say what size TV they bought :(
How about the One Connect Box? In the video I don't see it..
Is in my spare bedroom.
Why is this tv not an oled?
It works qith Google asistant??
Where are your speakers?
All TVs should be like this… it’s so pretty… I’m not sure why the other manufacturers haven’t copied it.
Really. I am thinking of buying one and I would definitely need it on the wall on a swivel.
are you experiencing any problems with the screen like bleeding, backlight issues etc. like many people are
@@krishnachaithanyareddy8575 We've had it over two years now and have not had any problems with it at all. We moved our couch and now have it on the wall but lower down with art work around it.
Hi many thanks
1. Can a laptop be connected wirelessly to it.
2. What inch is your Frame?
Hey Astar.
Thanks for the review, which frame colour do you have?
What color paint is on your walls?
Wooo really nice brother 😅👌🏻👌🏻🎥
A great honest, refreshingly unsponsored review.
Regarding the picture displays...is it possible to display personal photos by loading into a flash drive and plug into the usb port rather than uploading rhem to samsung?
Thank you! It’s a great TV. I have not tried it but I believe you can. I’d have to check mine to confirm.
How many inches does this go up to?
I purchased the Samsung 75inch 2021 frame Tv, love the way it sits flat on the wall, but my only grip the motion detection doesn't work, if i turn on the lights it will turn on then, but just passing by the motion detection doesn't work.
Interesting, I’ve never had that problem. Mine is on my staircase and it turns on only for motion. Do you have a lot of bright lights in the area?
@@BrotherBrown nope the 75inch 2021 frame Tv sensor, is located on the bottom right when facing the TV, the art only activate if I turn on the lights but not motions, but this the second set i had the first one did the same thing Samsung replaced it, but it's doing the Same thing but I don't worry about it, i did see online other people having the same issue, other than that i love the frame Tv.
@@polofunk interesting, our 2021 55" is the same, only light affects whether or not the art turns on, not motion. The only time it's been an issue is on very cloudy overcast days, we have to turn on lights in our living room or the TV doesn't display the art.
are you experiencing any problems with the screen like bleeding, backlight issues etc. like many people are
Any concerns with the TV being mount higher up, such as above a fireplace?
I wouldn’t be, just make sure the cord is in a safe spot
what size are you guys using:)?
Does it have airplay?
Is it support also 120hz 4k for gaming ?? Because i am about to buy one but can't make a decision between the frame and q70a and both are same price but which one is better i dunno know ??
55” and above have 120hz
What size is yours again?
If the lights are off in the room and the art mode is on on the lowest setting, how much light does it beam into the room?
I’m not sure how to quantify that. A decent amount. You definitely know it is emitting light.
Where are the thin cable??
Which tv model is it ?. Can we put f r ame to a y model which is thin?
This is the 2020 model. The 2022 model is half as thick. I’m fine with this one but the new one would be sweet!
Where is the plug?
help me with setting to mitigate motion blur while watching live sports
Are you streaming or watching a game that has a high refresh rate?
@@BrotherBrown it's a live telecast I was watching on Hotstar. Don't think they stream 120 Hz
@@ramakrishnakamepalli3683 if that stream has a low refresh rate like 30hz then that’s probably why. I watch hockey at 60hz and it seems ok
@@BrotherBrown Is there a solution for me through motion smoothing settings ?
@@ramakrishnakamepalli3683 I’m not sure, I’d have to look into the settings. I’ve never needed to mess around with it.
Tv size?
That a roll setup looks fire🔥🔥🔥🎥😅
Thanks Ray! The TV has been so awesome. I was pretty pumped with the roll setup also 😍
They’re not in-wall rated. That would be a potential fire hazard c
Do you watch tv with all your lights on or is it just the footage you had?
I’ll watch tv with all the lights on when I’m not watching a movie. With a movie I’ll turn the light off
Great review!
Hey! I did! I turned off intelligent image mode. It solved to me.
You pay mostly for a frame not really for a tv actually 🤔
I just heard about this tv a week ago....where have I been and now I want it in my house yesterday! Thanks for the honest review. Also I would be nervous too about the staircase but it looks pretty solid hanging up; nice spot too. Also agree, great gift for a woman as I do not like the ugly black box in my living room.
It’s an awesome TV. So perfect for a room that a tv would be nice but you don’t want the big tv turned off. If you get one you’ll love it! Thanks for the comment Barbara 😀
Where can I get that Canadian Rockies sweatshirt?
I got it in Banff, it sure if it is sold online.
Nice video.. thanks for making it.. am planning to buy one TV either frame or Neo qled 85.. would like to know your opinion.. ❤️ from India
NEO Qled has better quality because of the MiniLED panel. , the Frame has a VA panel so the angle view is very different. but, if you have not brought the Tv yet, i highly recommend you an OLED TV for sure!
The downside is that Samsung does not bring latest screen technologies to the Frame series.
How do you hide the optical cable?
I put mine down the wall on the other side so you can still see it if you walk in that room.
It’s such a beautiful TV! I’m honestly not too bothered by the fact it doesn’t have as good of visuals as the OLED.
@@pinkleather6725 Thanks! I appreciate your input. ✨😊✨
Got a Samsung Frame 55’’ TV on July 20 for Rs 89K in India, my family went abroad on oct 20, came back on Apr 22, TV used till May 23 normal watching,TV died last week, called @SamsungIndia technician quoted Rs 55k panel dead. avoid this TV...
what size is yours?
55 inch!
Great info…your format on this video was very “SNL Schwetty Balls” skit! 👍🏼
Matte finished?
Yes
Beautiful tv. Shame it doesn't have better blacks.
On balance I opted for a 77" Sony OLED
Good choice!
Build your own custom frame for the oled
My Frame tv after 2.5 years began to on its own, turn off, then back on repeatedly.
Authorized TV Tech/Repair came over and said panel shot.
Samsung reply to Electronics Store where I purchased it said "too expensive to repair".
Good thing I purchased a 5 year extended warranty.
Got a full credit and now enjoy a Sony. Purchased another 5 year extended warranty on that one.
* Buy extended warranty, most tv's will eventually fail.
Thanks for info. Why didn’t you buy another frame instead. Were you not happy with it?
@@mispelling Warranty repair people said that they are seeing too many Frame TV's come in for repair, so not going to buy another one ever
@@kellylough1569You could also look at it as you could get a new frame TV every 5 years if you keep getting the warranty too lol
999.99 at Costco right now folks
And it's over! 😂 yesterday was the last day. Maybe soon come Father's Day
The 2022 version of this tv is miles better for art showcasing!
Can you enjoy a movie if you are sitting at an angle?? I was thinking of putting mine on a swivel.
I would not buy it again. The sleep timer can be set, but the minimum time ist 4 hours!!!
