Your mastery is very well-displayed in your familiarity with the piece. Between your guitar and drum pad, you’re convincingly handling Coltrane, Tyner, and Jones. I understand there’s a lot of sustained effort and experience behind what you are doing, but it’s nonetheless difficult to overstate how impressive and inspiring I find it.
Small glimpses into the mind of a genius, you inspire me to be a better musician 💜💜💜 Future generation musicians will find you and be greatly inspired 💜💜💜
A really enjoyable take on a classic track, with a clean sound. A sound and technique I aspire to, thank you. Going to have to investigate the Yamaha FGDP-30/50!
Love it! I have been dabbling with GSs in a similar way, but my 2 hand technique is nowhere near as advanced as Tory's, so I slowed it down, and put a funky DC styled go go beat to it. After hearing the NY Voices vocal version, I decided to write and add my own lyrics. 12 versus in total of spoken word in a singing/rap style.
Strandberg guitars kept showing up on eBay, but never heard of them. Then this video pops up. Outstanding playing! Would love to interview you for the channel.
I don't think there's any real correct way to do it. For instance, allegedly, all of the classical players have the most proper technique, yet, hardly anyone wants to listen to them... I mean I do, but you know, as it is
I suspect Tory is visiting from another universe or dimension. Guitarist here, but even as a drummer I would be unsettled by that finger tip gadget ability (could sit in with any jazz band).
@@TorySlusher Nice playing. Have you studied T.J. Helmerich 's tapping methods? Also what is you opinion of using 8 string guitars for tapping, for instance Markus Reuter's touch guitar which is made for tapping? I notice Ichika plays some of these 7 and 8 strings but 6 strings as much, probably more
yay. do countdown next! this and countdown are my two fav chord progressons to play over. they're actually both easier than one would think, esp giant steps, it's just ii V I going up in maj 3rds, but with certain chords omitted (aka the ii, or the I) i'm sure you're familiar with allan playing countdown, i wish i had heard him play over giant steps.
As they say, the God-chosen people are talented in everything, Tory, you are a brilliant person, a real creator. Take care of yourself and continue your incredible musical experiments, thanks for sharing!
Two of the greatest guitarists ever: Tory's left hand and Tory's right hand. Also probably finger drumming GOAT too. Bravo!
She is becoming my favourite guitarist on youtube because of esoteric style and very deep understanding of scales and harmony.
100% agree
Noone like her. Brilliant player.
He is a man bro.
🤯 i have a hard enough time with ONE side of that song. You managed to do both, really 3 parts with the drums, fantastically!
Just imagine a concert: John patitucci + Dave Weckl + Tory Slusher. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
She is in a whole different level!!!
Like, honest to God.. Totally Different Level!! That fingerdrumming demo on your other channel was/is insane, as well.
She just has "The Touch"

Yessss! Giant Steps! I didn't even need to ask! All good things come to those who wait. 😏
*gasps* Very Very wonderful, Tory ( ❤_❤)
A cup of coffee and a Tory Slusher tune is a great way to start the day! ☕️ 🎸
Tory and the Slushtones😊
Wow fantastic❤
the way you chord with your left hand and shred a solo with your right blows my mind every time
Yes. Stanley Jordan takes lessons from her
pianist independence with van halen chops
@@rickc2102 rather Stanley Jordan and not EVH
Outrageous! How could you? Please do more
By the way, the tapping link isn't working for me. Am I doing something wrong?
Maybe I should open from a computer 😬
Been listening to music for a very long time. Heard nothing like Tory. Thank you.
Clear mastery w articulate phrases and impeccable rhythm. So KLEEEN
Nice Coz I'm just a small fish in a big ocean of music and I have no legs, only fins, so I'll probably never learn Giant Steps
Practice practice practice 😊😊😊😊😊😊
@@TorySlusher or evolution evolution evolution 😊
Niiiiiiice! 😎 You're future's so bright **I** gotta wear shades! Shine on Tory, you crazy diamond!
this is great - glad i found it! Glad you did it!
it's a small step for Tory, one giant leap for music
Absolutely Stunning
Beautiful Notes
👏👏👏👏🎸🎸🎸
Wow...Two guitars in ONE!!! mind. blown.
It’s way beyond "awesome", "amazing", "the best" etc.... new words needs to be created!
Yo this was extremely cool! Idk what I’m even more impressed by with the drum pad and the playing.
Your chord solo at the end was the icing on the cake!
Thank you Tory❤ ✌👍
Incredible, once again.

This is super good! And I really dig the PHAT beat at like 4:08-4:15. Ending chord rocks too!
Every once in awhile I drop into that New Jack City beat. It's kind of the middle ground between swing and funk
Flexing hard here
Hmmm… amazing 😮
AWESOOOOOOME !!!!! 😮

Holly molly!!!! Great!
AMAZING 💙💙💙
So brutal !!!!
You are so unbelievably talented. You get music.
More awesomeness.
Like Stanley Jordan and Future Man from Bella Fleck and the Flecktones rolled in the one. Very enjoyable!

The best of the best ❤❤❤ I’m from Russia 🇷🇺

Just freakin' amazing!!!!
I appear to have been playing the guitar incorrectly for 25 years. Ah well. You are so damn inspiring, thank you 🙏🏾🤘🏾

That was awesome !
I’m awestruck.
That was killing…
Always an uplifting experience
Thanks for another great video, Tory; very inspiring, beautiful take on the classic!
love the riff that starts at 3:16. great work!!
You are the most innovative player I’ve seen in ages. I wish you the best and hope you’ll get recognition for your skills
항상 수준 높은 연주 잘 보고 갑니다. 존경해요!!

Marvelous!
Thanks! Coltrane, Monk and Tyner first got me into jazz, way back in 1980. It's still some of my favorite stuff 🙂

I'm using words but words fail to describe your brilliance ❤️
I suspect Tory is visiting from another universe or dimension. Guitarist here, but even as a drummer I would be unsettled by that finger tip gadget ability (could sit in with any jazz band).
Phenomenal talent. WOW.
I was just watching the drums, and noticed the melody was so easy to listen to.
Brilliant lines 😊
Crazy
Amazing see you play
Amazing Rendition! Outstanding Phrasing!!!
great as usual thankyou TORY
Nice.
Music is like sounds and stuff
I needed this

Very nice.
I've been following your work on FB since a while now, so good to see you on another level of production now, you rock ! This is beyond incredible
Excellent playing Tory, gets me into that Allan Holdsworth /Lenny Breau vibe!!!
Makes me want to practice harder. ✌🏻
