But this review is great like how you didn't get into all the mind numbing specs but just played the guitar showing the different pickup sounds. The reviews on this channel are real gems 👏 The guitar has an even volume along the entire length of the neck. It also has good sustain. However I think it takes about a month to get the best sound, time to get acquainted with all the nuances of the instrument :)
I was doubled up with laughter at the beginning of this video. I love your sense of humour. I'd better start saving $$$ before I'm executed. You are in a class all your own and the distinctive, extraordinary, and unique way in which you play along with your astounding facility, technique, and knowledge never fails to astonish me.
It seemed appropriate and more entertaining than my endless gushing... But in all seriousness, this is a great instrument for a variety of different applications. I know a lot of people tend to just play metal music with strandbergs, but that's kind of gauche....imo, and somewhat limited in scope, they're capable of so much more than just playing some low chugging or the typical noodlely lead stuff, do that one sweet picking lick and then add the tap at the top and come back down etc. Ugghhh.....
These new Essentials look pretty unbeatable for $1000. They're so light and ergonomic, and at least based on the youtube videos I've watched the pickups sound really good as well. In fact I think I would prefer a hardtail and straight frets over the fanned frets and possibly tremolos in Strandberg's more expensive guitars. Great playing as always.
like, only a few dozen were squashed via tennis shoe but hey, that's what happens when you get famous! That low triad really did sound like a piano. lots of sustain but it had a midrange bark in there that made it sound really cool. 9:29 I have noticed in many ad lib jams of yours that sometimes... you go BEYOND the downbeat with your solo and then hit the chord on say 2 instead of 1. That's a pretty sneaky? way to keep your time going and your chord going in case you do go over the bar length and into the next bar. Or you will do 1.5 instead of 2. The and of 1, iow. I can comprehend MOST of what you are doing but I can't do it! hahha I know more than I can do on the fretboard but then I spent my time playing rock and metal and so on. It's cool to see you play jazzy stuff but otherwise I never get to moved by much of it. Very nice tones and very amazing playing as always!!
