A couple of my local brewers are the same way. I wouldn't expect them to ever be mad for small stuff. It is sad many people can't control themselves in traffic or at restaurants for example. Business owners have to be humble and will experience conflict from time to time.
Every time you revealed the gadget and it was accompanied by a Treehouse beer, made me wish I could go on Amazon, ignore the gadget, but still order the beer.
That keg is pretty cool, they hype up the outdoors stuff but it would be great for keeping growler beer fresher for a few days over just a glass jug that would oxidize.
The beer tap dispenser reminds me of the "Fizzics" dispenser my wife got me for Christmas. The foam actually works and after doing a side by side there was a clear difference between pours. Reminded me of a nitro pour even. Maybe something to look into for part 3!
Hi Nate I have the growlerworks u keg. They are fantastic for me as I just fill up a keg from my tap at home and take it fishing where we have ice cold draught beer. Keeps the beer very cold all day . I got it as a present off my wife . One of the best presents I've ever had. Must admit my mouth was watering watching that king julious get poured while I'm stuck offshore at work.
I’m a big fan of the growlerwerks kegs. As a kegging home brewer they make it super easy to bring beer to a party, etc if it’s in a keg and not packaged. It’s even a good kegging platform if you are a small batch brewer. But I’d recommend looking for them on the used market… I got like new 64 oz and 128 oz versions for a fraction of the retail price.
Ukeg is useful. Eliminates the need for glass growlers, which are a PITA to transport, and if you don't drink the whole growler, it goes bad stale pretty quickly because every time you open it, you are letting 02 in. Ukeg, no chance of breaking a glass growler, beer is on CO2 the whole time keeping it fresher longer, less waste, and while heavy, is better than humping in glass growlers to your camp site. (or you could just bring cans, so long as you hump the empties back out) I have a similar one called the Hendrix Keg, and when I was bottling home brew, I could put a gallon of un carbed beer into it, and carb the beer up while waiting for the beer in bottles to carb up. 3-4 days the beer in the Hendrix Keg would be carbed and ready to drink, while the bottles were still a week or 2 out. I could be drinking from the keg while the bottles carbed up. Of course bottling got tiresome, and now I just corny keg everything anyway, so is moot, but is still good if you want to go to a party, can bring along a gallon of beer instead of a whole corny keg.
The Chill-o-matic concept itself does work. Although for the every so often time you need to, its probably just as easy to stick a warm beer in a bucket of ice and spin it for a minute yourself.
I love my ukeg! I got the CO2 version and picked up the nitro regulator and faucet to nitrogenate small batches of beers! And it does work nicely for sharing at parties!
There are smaller GrowlerWerks uKeg Go models as well. 64 oz or 128 oz. They work great for those times you don't intend on draining a full growler in one evening or if you want to take home some beer from a brewery that you won't be pouring until the next weekend perhaps! Cheers to the cool video though, your 2nd ranked product I had never seen before.
Really, the chill o matic was 3rd it didn't work as good as a bowl of ice water. The UKeg was the only thing that didn't absolutely blow. By the way, I had to move out west when you going to get Treehouse out here?
Not beer related.... BUT, we need a watch collection reveal, Nate! Us watch nerds see what you're working with and are very interested in a collection reveal!!
When I was in college, we couldn't buy cold beer at the store, or we could drive 30 minutes to the next town if we REALLY wanted cold beer. In comes spinning beer in a bowl of ice. That ice spinner gadget might have been nice 25 years ago when I actually needed it.
The uKeg is the only truly useful one here, they're great for homebrewers. I have a different version but its great to fill up and take camping or to a friends house, and will keep beer from oxidizing/going flat compared to filling a regular growler.
While the UKeg was indeed a gift because my dad knew I was getting into home brewing and even though I discovered there are better designs I could upgrade to, this has been great for bringing out my home brew to serve taste samples for feed back all while having the beer presented like it's coming from my tap. It's a also definitely lighter and more convenient than bringing a 5 gallon keg or multiple glass bottles, and consistent serving pressure/temperature are my favorite advantages. If I do a gentle co2 flush pre filling, shelf life isn't too bad either, though it rarely doesn't get tapped out. Hence an upgrade would be a container with ball lock posts, so I can do a complete co2 flush and a closed transfer fill. I've always preferred being able to mod my system over having an all in one, but an awesome gift none the less.
The uKeg can be great for homebrew though; carbing and serving small batch. if I have a keg and I just want to take a small amount to a mates place for the game or to have by the grill. I’m in an apartment and a kegerator isn’t possible, this is a reasonable solution; they have a nitro version as well which is great for homebrew nitro stouts. So I’ve been interested in them for that reason.. expensive though. A PET bottle, carb cap and nuka tap mini can solve the same problem too!
I love that Nate is always so positive. No matter what beer he's drinking or crazy gadget he's trying, he's always looking for a bright side.
I appreciate you saying that. the world has enough pessimism and negativity and I have no interest in adding to it

"So if you're rolling up to the barbecue this summer, you just put this in your back pocket." That line made me spit coffee all over myself 😂
😁
I died once Nate took the biggest sip of foam & looked at the camera with the foam mustache 😂😂
Billy Mays for Chill-O-Matic!!! Call now!!! Nate's funniest video ever.
Every time you revealed the gadget and it was accompanied by a Treehouse beer, made me wish I could go on Amazon, ignore the gadget, but still order the beer.
fair point!
A personal keg for the office OR my kid's soccer game? JFC that sounds amazing.
That keg is pretty cool, they hype up the outdoors stuff but it would be great for keeping growler beer fresher for a few days over just a glass jug that would oxidize.
A cooler of salty ice water is the best way to chill a beer quickly. Great video.
definitely!
Gentle agitation if you're impatient
“Do you want my honest opinion, you gave me a beer that was 12 months old” hahaha 🤣
this was a fun one, haha
The beer tap dispenser reminds me of the "Fizzics" dispenser my wife got me for Christmas. The foam actually works and after doing a side by side there was a clear difference between pours. Reminded me of a nitro pour even. Maybe something to look into for part 3!

yeah i can definitely see the utility of it in certain use cases… be safe!
@@treehousebrewco Thanks.
You too
I must say, the uKeg would be useful in bringing my homebrew to a family function without all the other equipment needed. I can see some uses for it.

I'm a small batch brewer and force carb 4 pints in my little 64oz ukeg and just bottle the rest. Fun video Nate🍻

HAHA! I totally need the cap gun! Getting one for sure.
it's such a bad bottle opener
Got the Fizzics and love it. Close enough to daft. Thanks for the reviews.
The Chill-o-matic concept itself does work. Although for the every so often time you need to, its probably just as easy to stick a warm beer in a bucket of ice and spin it for a minute yourself.
The ukeg ball lock lid for their larger mini keg probably makes it useful for small test batches as you can carb in it and purge like a normal corny
I love my ukeg! I got the CO2 version and picked up the nitro regulator and faucet to nitrogenate small batches of beers! And it does work nicely for sharing at parties!
you sold me on the thermal imaging device and a can of Julius.
that thing is pretty sweet!
I’m in a couple of Homebrew clubs, and some of the guys use the growers to bring their beers on tap to share.
Did you really hit that can with the cap gun? How many takes?
Love the cap gun
I would love a cap gun! Also beer.

Fun video. Thanks for posting it. Ill take the cap gun, looks pretty fun.
If you could purge the headspace in the growler it might solve a problem... from 2012. Everything is canned now lol.
If you know someone who is into beer, give them beer as a gift. Forget the gadgets. Give me… I mean, whoever… beer.
this!!
yes could really use the capgun :) sounds a perfect gadget for the drunken evenings :)
I’ll take any extra goodies you don’t want please!🙋♂️haha loving your videos as always!
I want to see what you think about that thing that takes the top off of a beer can so you can drink it like it's in a pint glass.
I feel like the ukeg device is something that peaked when the KCCO beer was cool in 2013..
TO THE MOON!
I love that cap gun and the ukeg, send it to Mn please.
Awesome! I’ll take a cap gun! 😅🎉
I would love a cap gun tbh. That keg would be great for taking homebrew on the road. The can dispenser looks like it will just end up a sticky mess
Still waiting for my cap gun!! :D
Really, the chill o matic was 3rd it didn't work as good as a bowl of ice water. The UKeg was the only thing that didn't absolutely blow. By the way, I had to move out west when you going to get Treehouse out here?
I know the growler at the end a few guys in my homebrew club have them they love it
Not beer related.... BUT, we need a watch collection reveal, Nate! Us watch nerds see what you're working with and are very interested in a collection reveal!!
I would love to but it's such a diversion for most viewers of the channel. maybe ua-cam.com/users/hodinkee will have me on!

bowl of ice is better!
the foamer thing looks very like the Nitro Surge kits guinness released a few years ago.

I didn't think about the home-brew angle, makes sense.
The uKeg is great for small breweries that don't can but does growler fills. Sadly technically illegal in MA still.
Why?
Does anybody knows why the Stanley Pint kills the Beer head (foam)?
haha the cap gun. Good shot though.
pew pew pew
I want the cap gun!
In for the cap shooter 😂
Afternoon Nate. Just passed Tewksbury HQ. Busy, busy, busy.
friday friday

Totally love a cap gun...... 😅
The UKeg is very helpful to homebrewers who want to take their beer away from home. I've got a couple friends who have them and they work great.
makes perfect sense!
also great for breweries that will fill growlers

definitely a popular reply here - a home-brew tool to be sure
The uKeg is extremely useful.
it seems to be a common statement. going to give this one away so stay tuned :)
The beer nerd voice 😂
Fun channel! You got a new subscriber...
Awesome! Thank you!
These are fun videos. I bet most of these devices wouldn’t or didn’t get a deal on Shark Tank!
haha, unlikely for sure!
Fun idea, I want a cap gun lol. Billy Bellavance,
The Cap Gun?? Not Safe:) but cool
Nice review that you suffered through so we don’t have to👍
Exactly!
I thank you for wasting your hard earned money on these so I don't have to! HAHA!!
our pain is your gain!
Speaking of growlers.... when they comin' back ?? we the people were lied to! #comingsoon
why are you slamming you're glass like that?
Hey Nate - I’ll take that uKeg off your hands - provided it’s full of Julius.
I keep that cap gun on me
🔫
I'd like a cap gun. My name is Justin.
Wants a crappy cap gun!!!
Fun, but not too useful. Send the cap gun my way. :)
I'll take a cap gun
