I have about 5 stainless steel beer cooers already, but I really love that magnetic "BevKey" on the bottom of the Huski. Much more "chill" vibe to this Low Brau episode, but quality content as usual!
The can crusher was my favourite. Back in my youth I used to be able to balance on one foot on top of an empty can, reach down and simultaneously tap both sides of the can with my fingers causing it to instantly collapse in on itself. It was quite the party-piece I can tell you. The cans were quite a bit sturdier back then.
MacGyver would have this... what a TV show that was Brad! That took me back some that's for sure. Some good gadgets there and have placed an order already for the Hermetus.
Great video guys. And your timing, impeccable. Every year I'm asked "what do you want for Christmas?". I usually struggle, but not this year :). Thank you!
Cheers Brad! The hermetus is pretty cool, my Dad had one of these when I was growing up here in New Zealand, certainly bought back some memories of opening 750ml beers for him and collecting the caps 😁 and the can cutter.. thats cool, it makes a cup 😃 well done I'll gingerly send this video to my family and see what turns up for Christmas 🍻🍻 cheers Guys, Mike.
I have the Hermetus and it's bloody awesome! 5/5. The crusher is silly in Denmark since we have a deposit system. I really like The Brad doing stuff like this. And I want more!!!
All fun and games till nana walks in on you trying to get your big 500ml Steady Rolling Man into your beer fleshlight. That Hermetus looks really practical especially if you like your big Belgians for Christmas.
If the Craft Beer Channel would ever cease to exist, you could always consider a career in hair modelling, Brad! Finally, I know the name of the Hermetus, which I was looking for for ages, therefore 5 crispy boys for this video!
Well I've got to get myself a hermetus now 😂 The draft top could be useful for soft drinks on a picnic as well as I always worry about wasps getting in cans etc and not being able to see them. I'm highly tempted by the cooler as well just so I don't have to neck a beer that's getting warm 😂
Some great gift there great Video. I think Hermetus could be a real winner here even for the better half. Her and her mates out, take these maybe stop their bottles getting tampered with.
Fair point, though it's pretty clear that an hour at room temp is going cause a beer to be properly warm. I mean when I drink a beer from a can it's warm by the time I get to the end of it and that's only gonna be 20-25 mins.
A great video here Bradders. Now if only there was a way of stealthily sneaking this video into family WhatsApp groups country-wide we could all be onto a winner!
@@TheCraftBeerChannel AFAIK it's not really working for plastic bottles, but for things made from aluminium, like cans, it's great! Collecting vessels with deposit also makes for a small income for the homeless. I always make sure to put it next to the bin if I'm outside and not going to return something.
It does but there is a catch. I had to make the grips on the side a bit wider and move the rubber a bit to the front to close the seal. This did render it almost useless for regular size bottles. The solution? Buy 2 hermetusses like I did. It's worth it.

Doesn’t a lot of the aroma come from pouring the beer out and releasing CO2? Even if you cut open the top more, I can’t imagine that it would be anywhere close to pouring it.
Fair question, but plenty comes out through the bubbles reaching the surface and/or through swirling it yourself. The pour itself doesn't make much difference apart from WHEN the beer is actually pouring.
So beer geeks - any terrible beer gifts you've been bought in the past?! Hit us up!
Got a bake your own beer cookies kit once from someone who said, “you love beer”. Only you had to supply your own beer to make them?!
Hate these beer bottle gift boxes from a time before craft. It's always just boring industrial lagers from a few countries.
Nice crazy (in a good way) gadgets!
I quite like my lucky beer themed socks, I wear them every brewday!
Huski paired with a DraftTop would have to be a dream!
The Hermetus is an awesome gadget and thoroughly deserves 5 crispy boys.

Spot on. I'd be very happy to get any of those. I already have a hermetus but could do with a couple to use if one is sealing a bottle.
Brilliant Brad. 😂
Need some of those gadgets in my life. Great vid
Top marks for the Low Brau music as well!

We live to serve.
And drink beer.

We use a can crusher at the shop/bar I work part-time at. Its indispensable, I'm a pro with one of those suckers..
As a pro, how would you rate Brad's knee technique?
I have the Hermetus and it's bloody awesome! 5/5.

As someone who owns 3 pairs of beer socks, I am offended 😂

I don't want to find this hysterical.... but I really do.
Great vid Brad!
OMG The future is here! Truly is Tomorrow's World of beer! and I need the Hermetus!
You forgot to mention that the Huski can be used as a tumbler
Hermetus is life, the rest is just a bottle opener
If your beer gets warm, you’re not drinking fast enough 😄

What is the thing on the wall behind you? It looks like a ghost containment system.
Wait, the lid of the can falls into the beer when you use the Draft Top? It doesn’t come away with the gadget itself?
Yeah that seems far from ideal tbh. Having a magnet on it seems like an easy way to fix it maybe
@@_spaceman Agree on the magnet. If you buy a Huski you can just tip it into that. The Huski people say it can serve as a glass.
Kinda gross that it falls in actually
Need a control can to see the difference between a can left on the side and a can in the huski

@@TheCraftBeerChannel sure thing, you'll be surprised how much mixing (by drinking) and you hands warmth will do though.
3:00 for innuendo

As a German, that can crusher sent shivers down my spine. Why would you do that to all of that beautiful Pfand?!
Haha - I wish we had a deposit scheme but sadly not!

Does anyone get the hermetus to work on bottles bottles with the bigger cap? I mean the bottles that many lambic brewerys use.

Does the Draft Top not leave a sharp cut after removing the lid? Wouldn’t want to cut myself after using it!
no it doesn't
No it's nice and rounded!
Anyone who's used the Hermetus, does it fit 750ml lambic bottles? There was an amazon review saying it doesn't.

I don’t understand why you would want to reseal a long neck and not drink it !
Brad does QVC
I was gifted a leather beer bottle holster. Cute. Useless.
I always thought "crispy boy" would be spelled "crispy boi" for some reason. It feels it adds to it being extra annoying and obnoxious.
