Amazing that all of those tone woods could all meet on a single instrument. Thank You for sharing this with us, and thank you for being part of its creation.
Hi matt love the presentation and obviously the playing. You guys have some unbelievable guitars. Ive been to st Louis about 20 years ago, im from the UK, we played a rugby tour out there. Loved the place very friendly people i think we drank most places dry. If i ever find myself out that way again im finding your shop.
@@eddiesguitars such a nice thing when you can feel like, a 100% accurate acoustic response of how you pick each note. So personal and pure. I played a 90s bourgeois at a local shop in indy last year and got that feeling. Rare, but it's so nice when it's there.
Playing this beautiful SC guitar has me excited about the guitar that I just ordered from a local luthier here in Vermont. The top is old-growth reclaim redwood from Brown’s Canyon Trestle built-in 1876. The back and sides are the straightest of grain mahogany from a Scott Hausmann, Whetstone School of Lutherie, collection. I just have to be patient ETA end of 2022-early '23.
Can you post TABS of the two songs you always play? thanks. Listened to this video twice ...usually just listen but his is really great sound and balance.
Nice beard and head trim Matt!!! I see you've recovered from the Bourgeois evolution. What 's the asking for this magic railroad tunnel/Belizean instrument?
🔵 absolutely beautiful ❕💙 🔵I just love Honduran Mahogany and w/Tunnel 13 Redwood is pure magical tone ❕💙 🔵 i was very fortunate to acquire a once in a lifetime scgc custom OM with Tunnel 13 top over BrzRW ❕💙 😍 - basically bought it the instant I saw it 🐸
@@eddiesguitars Have Eddie put you on a plan..... it will be paid for by the time your hair and beard grows back out. Great guitar. It's your style and sound.. you can't let someone else own this masterpiece.
Agree totally on the versatility of OM’s!! The most sonically balanced of any guitar shape- like a harp!
I've been watching these videos about the Santa Cruz acoustics. I think they sound amazing.
So beautiful I pretty much forgot this was supposed to be a guitar demo.

Oh my. This is something special. I could feel how much you enjoyed playing it. So immediate and precise. Good wood. Sounds great Matt.
Thank you! Such an easy guitar to play - very inspiring the way it just keeps ringing!

Woaaaaaah. A guitar simply does not get any better than this. Such a sweeet sweet sound 😍😍😍
Matt that was a great presentation of how this Santa Cruz OM was built and it sounds amazing.

Wow! Just beautiful - in looks and sound! Love it!!
Your presentation and above all passion shows in the video. Loving it
Thanks Matt, thoroughly enjoyed your playing!!! 👍
This is a great review & guitar. Great job. I'm still working at playing like that, although my son does.
"drunken sailors..."?! 😲 lol
I remember this Richard Hoover from NAMM. Best in Show!
that was for you!!
I would have loved to have heard Roy Clark doing his version of Malguena on this guitar

Thanks Donal! This beauty clocks in right around $11k. Steep, but a very similar tone to The Tree Mahogany at half the price.. I dig!
@@eddiesguitars Its a beauty!
@@eddiesguitars The Tree with Redwood Tunnel 13 was a higher price?
Not very far from Somogyi’s workshop, I had chosen SantaCruz with Mahogany(to play) & Somogyi with Brazilian Rosewood(for collections/investment ).
I fully support this comment!!
Wow!!!
When you plucked that first chord - I literally said "Oh my God". My wife asked what happened and I told her she wouldn't understand.
Yeah, mine doesn't get it either...!
Exactly the same reaction over here

Kenneth Pattengale should play this on the next record.
Can anyone tell me the name of the second tune, starting at 8.40, please? Thanks a lot.
Matt, If you don't buy this one for yourself you'll regret it. This is your guitar!
David Brown now accepting donations!!

Legally harvested tunnel 13 or the usual non authorized sources?
I have a very non guitar question, how is your hair and beard so glorious, need tips 😁😁
How much?
That’s a big boy’s toy...
no doubt about that!
@@eddiesguitars Guitars, cars, watches- all ruined by the one percent soulless colectors
WOW. btw not drunk but rather high as a kite in my case. 420 blaze it! Peace.
This is a great guitar, but man .. $11K for 4 pounds of rare wood, 6 wires and 1/2 cup of glue. :-) :-)
And 2 little bones 😂
Would look a lot better without Santa Cruz logo. Ugly and distracting.
That's way too much beard.
Lol he's trimmed it severely! :)
That beard is award winning!
I would suggest not looking into my previous videos if big beards offend you...
