Love jimmy . outside the ring the man has a huge heart and will sign as many pics and autographs as u want . Jim got me and my wife drunk as piss week ago at his bar in daytona . We sat watched raw with him and went to check out he already paid our 120$ tab . He hung out with us from 8pm til 1am like he knew us his whole life

Adding comments for the algorithm. Jimmy is hands down one of the nicest guys I met while I was wrestling. Just a genuinely nice guy. Got to hang out with him and his wife two years in a row on his birthday. They remembered me and were just a lot of fun to be around. Jimmy doesn't drink but he has some amazing stories and will give you knowledge, if any young people in the business get a chance just be respectful and listen to him.

In my book, Jimmy Hart’s class was the best. The inductees of that class were all guys who were on top when I started becoming a big wrestling fan, and also of note, everyone who got inducted that year was alive when the ceremony happened. Never again has there been a class consisting entirely of people who were still living.
That’s when you get the best of the best. When you let each person create their own persona. You’ll know who really loves and is into the business and you know who is dedicated to their craft along with getting some unique and unforgettable characters.
I got to hang out with Jimmy at his hotel/bar in Daytona FL last summer. He's a cool cat.

I met him in Atlanta, so stuck up and a total asshole in the Marriott hotel bar. So selfish and he was NEVER a superstar wrestler just some manager

There's a story from Ric Flairs book saying how after the big events or to celebrate someone winning a title the wrestlers would all get together and get a bunch of girls and drugs and party real hard.
Flair says Jimmy would not drink, smoke, or do any drugs, but he could not pass up a ring rat. Jimmy was clean as a whistle but the other wrestlers and the girls would all snort coke and Jimmy would pound the crap out of the women. He was addicted to sex. Can't really blame him. I would have done the same thing

He seems like a cool cat. But God I used to hate him as a heel manager.
Naturally cos nobody liked heels but at the end of the day, they're all story lines.

He should definitely be on anyone's Top 5 list of best managers, in my opinion. Awesome talker, very unique gimmick, always putting his guys over instead of putting himself over, and all his guys said he was a legit manager and cheerleader to them. Personally, I think he's up there with Bobby.
@@jonathanturbide2232 i think jimmy is up there, but Bobby the brain n jim cornette are 1 n 2..jimmy had a great run as the guy, everyone just wanted to slap n when he got caught by hogan et al his dancing feet were a good work.

Jimmy Hart is awesome. Very successful manager and hard worker for the business.
Thats why I liked Jimmy as a manager, he was like Precious Paul Ellering. He had his shtick, but as quickly as he could, he'd let the wrestler or wrestlers talk and do their thing, then he'd finish up by plugging the card or sum up why you'd want to buy a ticket to watch the match.
What does "plugging the card" mean?
Who created the nickname "The Mouth of the South"? Manager nicknames went a long way toward their longevity.

I believe Jimmy Hart himself said that Andy Kaufman came up with it, I don't remember what they were doing but Jimmy kept talking so much that Andy couldn't get a word in, and he said "They might as well call him the mouth of the south!"

In Portland Wrestling. Dynamite Kid could cut a promo.
I've lived in Calgary for almost 40 years and I saw Dynamite cut great promos in here. Especially his promos on Davey Boy when he first got to Calgary. One of my favorite promo lines of all-time came from Dynamite talking about "the great man above" and other religious statements that led you to believe he was talking about God but then he let it be known he was talking about his weasel manager JR Foley and it got a great heated pop from the crowd. But yeah...his WWF promos were lame.

my last match was against man mountain link haha. blew my knee out 5 minutes into the match
do ya have any stories? many of the "bigger" people sort of "slant", well, for many reasons, not the least of which is that they still want to get "paid". But for all of the "big stars" there are at least hundreds that were in the business, and many might have a more "honest" take on things.
