  • According to the CDC, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) causes up to 80,000 hospitalizations among children under 5 each year, and up to twice as many such cases among adults 65 or older.
    KellyAnne and Kent experienced this firsthand when their second son, Carter, was exposed to RSV at just 3 months old, leading to an infection in an older family member as well. The couple tells Medical Stories how they handle the challenges of raising a child with a debilitating and infectious disease.
