My 3 month old recently got rsv from her sister ..am very worried about her but her pediatrician said I should just keep feeding and monitoring her breathing ..after hearing her concerning cough for almost 3 weeks I decided to take matters into my hands and did the heat and menthol treatment with her ..her cough seems to be so much better 😌 now thank God. 😊
My 2 yr old got my 7 yr old daughter daughter sick with rsv. They have been sick over a week n now I am sick and this feels horrible. I just need advice on what I can give them to ease the pain fever n cough.
@@velvetie1657 absolutely nothing helps ..over the counter cough syrup might ease the pain..but the heat treatment with menthol Robb stopped the cough in its tracks instantly..however ! Kids hate the heat treatment because it hurts ..My kids are a bit tough cos I've done this heat treatment remedy with them for years whenever they get a cough..I had never tried it with a baby ..I got frustrated hearing her cough nonstop and because I can't give her anything I did the heat treatment with her 😒. It was tough but once the session was over she stopped coughing..I did it for 1 week and the cough dissapeard..
@@nurserossie4812 thank you so much for replying. I've been applying vapor rub on my daughters the past 2 weeks n cough medicine. Took them to the doc and gave them more medicine. It helped a little, it's been about 3 weeks, they still cough but not as much as before. They are slowly getting better. It's crazy, they have never been this sick. I got sick myself and It felt terrible. I understand how they felt. I'm still sick but I'm doing better now.
I have 3 kids who currently have RSV; ages 4,5,8. The 5 yr old is almost fully recovered after one week. The 4 yr old started getting very sick yesterday. My 8yo has an severe and rare heart condition and seems to be getting worse every day. I took him to the ER, today and they gave him Dexadron, which seemed to help for about an hour but now he is coughing non stop again. We tried albuterol to not avail. Delsym Had been ineffective. Only thing that seems to help is fresh air. At first I suspected croup for this reason. Is it possible to have croup plus RSV? I don’t know what else to do to help him. His baseline Sats are 95/96 but he keeps dropping to 88-94. Up and down.
@@vics27TR steroids seemed to help the most. He was taking albuterol every few hours too but that didn’t seem to help. Seemed to me like the steroids helped the most
@@mrorange3490 Thank you for replying back. It's very stressful not knowing what else to do😔 I will be taking my daughter today to the doctor and hopefully, the albulterol helps as well. I also read it can be due to mold build up 😟 somewhere we can't even see it. So i am going to clean the car out and her room. I hope that helps and hoping no mold exposure 🙏🏽 ...
