    I’m a big Brad Paisley fan. And I’m old enough to remember car rides without watching TV. But when I think about what kind of drastically changes my grandparents lived through. A couple years ago I showed my grandparents my new iPad and my grandma said “look at that and when we were young we didn’t even have a car!”
    I really like the song! It’s such a positive outlook and I really need that sometimes. Actually I need more of that. Thank you for the reaction. Always great!

      I was born in the 90’s and I remember all those things at the beginning! I have kids now, but they also don’t get anything like that besides listening to Spotify in the car sometimes. This song is so so important to me in reminding me how far we have come as a world in such a short amount of time, like you said, since our grandparents were young.

    My 8 yr old granddaughter says she wants to be a cardio thoracic surgeon. But she has family in the medical field. Of course she nearly hyperventilates at the sight of blood so I’m not sure that she’s going in the right field. lol.

    As an old people - thank you, Brad, for the song. I don’t even care that little kids are naming careers that no little kid can name. The message is to dream big, and we all should.

    When my sister was 4 years old, she told our parents that she wanted to be a prestidigitator. So it is not the usual, but young children can and do use advanced words sometimes.

    As a 25 year old, I 100% get this song lol. I might have always been able to watch tv in the car, but I can still understand the feeling behind it because there is a lot of stuff today that exists that I never would have thought about when I was younger. (I’m not berating anyone, just starting a conversation btw, this is in no way meant to be a negative comment)
    You don’t have to be older to empathize with this feeling. Love this song! Great reaction guys!

    I'm older than y'all & I love Brad Paisley & this video. There is a video out there with Brad playing the rock song #HotForTeacher with a little kid around 6 or 8 playing the drums. That little kid is an awesome drummer & you know Brad is an awesome guitar player so you guys should check it out!

    This for me is like most Brad Paisley songs, in that it's great to hear once but I'm not bothered if I never hear it again. He's super talented, but never really grabs me. If you love him though more power to you.

    He did a reprise to this song on the same album. It’s mostly acoustic and he talks about going on a date and watching Father of the Bride. It’s another example of how good of a writer he is. He’s also got a short instrumental Back to the Future.
    Cheers!

    Admittedly, there was a VCR in the center console of my parents' minivan. So we kind of had TV on road trips. Must have drove my dad crazy wearing out the same tape of Rugrats haha. Later upgraded to the DVD model. But still had plenty of road trips staring out the window.

    Yes, I'm old, I'm 60, born in the last 6 months of the baby Boomer generation and the beginning of the GenXrs. I remember going on trips when I was a kid wishing I had a TV in the car, I also remember at the age of abt 6 years old (that was 1970) dreaming of a way to record my dreams while I slept. It wasn't quite the same but I was weirded out when vcrs and camcorders came out because they were almost like the machine I remember dreaming about. As to the kid saying Systems Analyst. In this day and age I wouldn't be surprised. There are some kid geniuses I've seen on tv talked about.

    Great reaction as always. I think the thing you kinda missed is the fact that this song came out 15 years ago, the tvs in cars and games on your phone was pretty new at that time for most people.

    It's funny that y'all are drinking Evan Williams, I have a buddy that turned a bottle of it up and drank half a bottle of it when we were seniors in high school @ a party. Needless to say, he was OUT of it and done after that about 45 minutes after we got to the party. It was hilarious!!! I'll be 54 years old in December, but I remember it like yesterday.

    Well you guys do realize that there are pretty advanced kids out there, that know exactly what they want to do at an early age. I was in Uni at 16 after graduating high school at 15, on my way to being a Psychologist and I'd known I wanted to do that since I was a kid. Some of us are just built different. This song is also from 2009, it's 15 yrs. old.

    This is something that will never be played on this channel. But have y'all heard of Tina S? She has played some of the hardest guitar solos! And done it before she turned 17. At 17 she played moonlight Sonata on electric guitar, yes classical music! If y'all have not seen her it would be a real treat! They're all on UA-cam. Then she just stopped posting anything! She went to college. And finally came back after 7 years!

      @BourbonCountryReacts  3 місяці тому

      Nah. I'm in the field. Systems analyst is a really obscure job title, that isn't considered "glorious" or "cool" at all. They can be critical roles for sure, and can definitely pay well, but not something people know anything about in general. Most adults couldn't tell you what a systems analyst actually does. Try an informal poll on your own. Ask ten adults what a "systems analyst" does. I bet you get ten different answers. - Keith
