This didn’t say exactly how to apply it. Does the skin need to be dried before applying the med? How long to wait after applying the med, can I apply Vaseline? How do I know if I am one of the people who will be poisoned by it? Will it only work if the skin crusts over? Can you please add more details, this video could be so helpful.

Good video. Lots of unanswered questions. I treat my face for 14 days with Fluorouracil for Actinic Keratosis. So much damage. . Face is very red, skin scabbing and peeling. Around day 10-11 I completely stopped and wasn't going to do it again because it became so painful. Mostly not sleeping with burning and itching. I also use a CPAP which doesn't help. I decided to resume treatment for 4 more days. I stopped one day ago and I have used Benedril the last 4 nights to get some sleep. The itching and burning is a little less but still present. By day I can distract myself. By night I have tried. I do not take medicine normally. I will continue Benedril to get me thru this hump. Went to bed last night without benedril and 3 hours later took it at one in the morning. Finally fell asleep. It is what has helped me.

Good content, horrible music... I had 5 visible lesions but treated my entire face. This reavealed damage that was not readily visible but would have been in time. Ask your Doc first but rather than treat a small area, bite the bullet and do it all at once, just my opinion...

I completely agree. Mine were nearly invisible but I could feel them - so I treated a wider area than the doctor recommended, and found them all. Now they'll go away!

I absolutely agree: the music was REALLY annoying! Why do publishers insist on adding this irritation?

I don't know what to think after this ridiculous video never mind the distracting music. I wonder why use a cartoon for such an important subject.

I am at day 25. Exceptional results. I have had 5 surgeries to date (3 on my face. Basal and Squamous). My Derm MD had been encouraging me to use this procedure. I resisted for 2 years. After my most recent surgery I decided to proceed with the treatment.
I began with just ½ my face in that my sister had become ill after using. I was shocked to see the extent of my sun damage. Several days in, after observing no side effects, I included my entire face. A few days later I added my arms and scalp. My doctor had me at twice a day applications. Not sure why. I grew concerned at day 12 and popped in my doctor's office. He was pleased with the results and told me to press forward.
During the peak of the treatment my skin looked much worse than the photos shown in the video. But as the video says, the worse you look the more you needed it. I am super pleased with the outcome and while I have not finished healing I can already clearly see the benefits.
Based on my experience I strongly encourage others with similar conditions to bite the bullet and do this. Even if you have to phase it due to side effects. I am certain most will not regret the effort. All the best.

Im using it on my lips. I used it for 5 days in Nov. and now i am using it again in March. After 5 days my lips were a mess. I have had dry lips for 25 years. The first treatment made them 50% better. Maybe i will see the other 50% when this heals

Hey guys. I'm currently 21 days into the fluorouracil treatment on my face. Not Fun! But, I have learned some things with oils that may help others. I have been testing several oils on my face to replace Vaseline and lotions. Here is what I've learned. There are the four oils I would absolutely recommend. Tamanu oil, Argan oil, Rosehip oil and Castor oil. Castor oil mixed with Rose hip oil feels better than anything I've found. Almost refreshing. There is one more mix I used on the really crusty parts, which was a blend of the oils with Shea butter and beeswax. You heat it and mix into a smooth, buttery blend almost like a soft beard butter, let it cool then apply. That helped IMMENSLY on the sides of my nose and bad parts. Anyway, I really hope this helps someone. These oils are SOOO much better than petroleum jelly. They are chock full of good things for the skin and actually promote healing.

This video is wonderfully awful. The music is terrible and also cheerily inappropriate. The animation could be done by an elementary school student. The computer voices are laughably terrible. I can only hope that the information provided in the video is better that its presentation.

I don't think should cover whole face unless want look like a freak for 2 months. I did a area on forehead size of a plum which had damage too the point felt like glass in it I tried to pick out all the time. Now it's smoothest part of my forehead. But who know maybe long term will cause a tuma. Or I'll get run over. Life's a risk anyway.

Very simplistic account of what occurs when using flourourical cream …..if only it were that simple. If you’re looking for an informed video as to what happens to you when using this cream, look elsewhere - this video does not explain the spectrum of reactions that are possible and the length of time involved with both treatment and recovery.

Yes avoiding the sun is the best advice for those that cannot and have fair skin. A few weeks of irritation beats having dime to quarter sized chunks of your face cut out. Trust me.
