    Fluorouracil, a member of the fluoropyrimidine class of drugs, has been widely used for decades in the treatment of various types of cancer, including colorectal, breast, and gastrointestinal cancers. However, understanding its molecular mechanism of action is crucial for optimizing its use and developing novel therapeutic approaches.
