Hey Gordon. Wombat is a term we use in Australia for blokes who play around. This is in reference to a wombats diet. “Eats roots, shoots and leaves”. Love your channel and have been watching since way before Covid so missed you guys during that time even though you put some stuff out. I heard Renata at a Women’s World Cup press conference and felt like I knew her. All the best to you both.
I knew you won't regret visiting Gold Coast! As a guy who visited Goald Coast twice, I know a bit or two about it. I think Sea World and Movie World are my reccommendations for you and Gordon. You won't regret every single bit!❤
I don't know what happens in other states in Australia but in QLD if you find an injured native animal any veterinarian will accept it for treatment, for free. Maybe they bill the government but I am not sure about that.
Nice video. A couple of quick fun facts. I have been to the Gold Coast hundreds of times. One time it wasnt windy or overcast. Koalas are not endangered. Not. In some areas there are not as many as there once was but in others they are over populated. If you havent seen hundreds of Kangaroos in the wild your not seeing the real country. On most days I would see at least 50. Even in the Capital City of Canberra they are every where around dawn and just before sunset. Why are there bin chickens at Currumbin?
You can actually go and do the bird feeding for free in the mornings. Every morning thousands of wild lorikeets come there to get fed. You can get a plate of food for $1 and the bird will land on you to eat it.
Errr, that's not how we eat our meat pie's. Just hold it in your hands in a vertical position so the meat does not run out ;) Thanks for sharing. Oh, you need to see a Big Red! now that's a roo :)
@RenataPereiraTV there are to many, from the rainforestsat Springbrook and tambourine or a motorbike ride through the Numinbar Valley, the headlands at Burleigh, walking the dog down the spit. Wish you could have seen it all. If there is a next time, I'd be happy to point you at some gems.
You guys have just offended 26 million Aussies. Using a knife & fork to eat a meat pie is nearly a crime here in Australia 🇦🇺!!! 🤣 but you guys are forgiven seen as though your blogs are up there with the best content. Look forward to watching more of your travels GREAT WORK HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR TIME IN AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND 🌍😎
It used to be the best holiday destination, no highrise buildings, beaches weren't congested. The fishing was fantastic. There was holiday flats (houses for rent) on the beaches. Caravan parks and camping grounds everywhere. Very little car traffic. Quaint little shops and, not the hustle and bustle there is today..@@RenataPereiraTV
@RenataPereiraTV I have never heard of the name Koala Bear being offensive to Aussies. That’s silly. Aussies aren’t sensitive like that at all, not even close. Scientifically however, it is true that Koalas are not members of the bear family.

That happens in NSW too I think. Might be nation wide. Be a pretty crappy human to have the ability to save an animal, but refuse because it's wild.
Thank you for sharing...makes me think if that is something world wide?

I recently subscribed to your channel. You and your husband make great videos. Your accent is beautiful as well. What is your nationality?
Great video. As a Brisbane local can I suggest you check out the hinterland behind the Gold Coast. O’Reillys, Springbrook etc.

HAHA, yes, not a well liked bird I hear.
Imagine a kangaroo 6ft tall with the physique of a heavy weight boxer... One that can easily disembowel you ...the real Australia
