If you have double glazing on your narrowboat I wouldn't advise using a crane to take out of the water as sometimes the narrowboat can twist on the straps which then puts pressure on the windows and they smash themselves to pieces.... You can use a dry dock or a tractor and trailer Instead.(bored yet lol)🚢🚢🚢⚓

The paint on the bottom of the boat is called blacking(Bitumen ) or two part epoxy.. The two shiny silver things one at the the bottom left one at the bottom right are called anodes they are sacrificial metals that attract the electric in the water (ish) and greatly reduces the electricity from attacking the rest of the hull...
Its what they call an "engineered lift" in which one crane doesn't have the lifting capacity so they use two cranes working together which do have the lifitng capacity.
