This is considered by many to be one of the greatest live performances of all time
yes, because it is.
It is the greatest.
Frampton comes alive
Absolutely!!
Truly a rock history performance.
Freddie made non-Queen fans to Queen fans in this Live performance. What a legend! Mic in his one hand and audience in other. Greatest frontman ever. Freddie forever ♥️
❤
As a 54 year old man, NOTHING on UA-cam makes me more happy to see young people seeing this legend for the first time. Freddie brought together everyone. Every colour or creed to enjoy his music. To see you all carrying this on makes me cry. Thank you for your video.
That moment on your face when you realise you actually know "we will rock you " but did not know it was Queen , priceless .
And the fact that so many people dont know this, is an insult to Queens legacy. It is like one of them songs, that you need to know who wrote it. And to know the original. There are a few other Queen songs that you just need to know. No cover song can match an original queen.
Freddie was the greatest showman of all. He made you part of the band. R.I.P. Freddie. Please keep smiling for us. It is so beautiful.
😍🥰🥰🥰
Not much of a showman. He moved around like he was doing karaoke on a saturday night at your local pub. His voice was amazing but let's be honest.. He was not much of a showman.
Fauci killed Freddie Mercury
@@emileewooten3874 he might not of killed mercury, but he's certainly killing us all!
Micheal jackson was not a showman ?
Freddie commanded the stage like no one else….he owned the stadium….every time
When Freddie says "I thank you all"
I say We Thank You Freddie. Forever.
You fucking legend. GOAT
I'm going
Best lead singer. No one is close to being mentioned near him
Freddie. The best frontman a band could have.
Honestly! His energy is so unmatched
@@MorenikejiTaiwo The day England was ruled by a different Queen.
The biggest thing with Queen was that the audience didn't just watch them perform, they felt that they were part of the show themselves. Queen always wanted to include the fans and they certainly did to the delight of the fans.
I remember watching this live as a boy. I was bored and not interested at the time, but my mom insisted. She told me it was a once in lifetime event so I sat through the whole live aid concert just to humour her and it was an ordeal for me. Well here we are now and I can proudly say I witnessed one of the greatest live performances of all time and I'm so glad for my mom. Parents do know best.
First time I saw Queen live, I was in tears. The entire stadium was in tears. I imagine if social media was around then. They would’ve crashed social media. It is nothing like ever seen. Pure God like. RIP.
Live Aid and Queen ‘s performance there was legendary. The whole world was watching it on tv. And still remembers it today,
He was actually sick during this concert and had throat issues. What a powerhouse he was.
If you listen carefully there are a few places where you can tell he was having difficulty, especially with long notes (but you do have to listen carefully).
nothing too serious
He had it then and caused a few problems
@@trevorgoddard2278 It was sad there were issues, those damn polyps on his vocal chords, plus his illness. He gave a tremendous performance. He was made for the stage!!
*is (RIP Freddie Mercury - Legend)
A genius who had the crowd in. The. Palm. Of. His. Hand. A voice and stage presence so mesmerising, with superb lyrics and beautifully arranged musical support, that just created perfection for those short, but treasured moments all those years ago. RIP Freddie.
this is the best 20 minutes of music ever captured on film! big love to all people :)
There will never be another freddy!! He was the best!!!!!!
The greatest 20 minutes in Rock & Roll history.
Freddie fought to the end, what a champion. Awesome reaction.
Brett, Yes....he did... I agree: Freddie... What a truly gifted Champion! May he R.I.P. Thanks.
The greatest performance I have ever seen by a artist !
Don't want to be a downer. You won't see better. Or close to Freddie
You are literally watching musical history being made. One of the best all time live performances, by one of the best bands, led by possibly the greatest front man of all time!!! Glad you liked it!
Not possibly. Without doubt unchallenged best front man
Freddie had 90,000 people in the crowd and a over a billion people around the world watching in the palm of his hand. Freddie made it memorable for us at home as well❤Just subbed.Much love from Canada❤🇨🇦
I watched Live Aid for one reason....to see Queen. It was surreal, even on television. (R.I.P.) Freddie Mercury such a beautiful soul.
I grew up listening to this guys voice and music... I didn't know what I had at the time. Awesome right!!!
No other performer like him in the world! Losing him was a great loss to music. RIP Freddy 😔
This was the best performance that whole day love Queen
Great reaction!
Queen was always so special, it's was not Freddie Mercury and three other guys, oh no all four were artists that knew what they are doing, they all were an important part of the band and the music.
They all wrote number one hits, hits for the people, for the audience.
The performance was a kind of comeback for the band Queen, a revival and it totally worked, because it was one of the best live performances ever in music history and they had only a very specific time at this concert.
There's a reason for so many clicks and reactions on UA-cam.
So thank you, that was really cool and nice. 👏👏 Happy New Year 🥂
Moral boost as a band because they'd had priblems
But it wasn't a revival for them uk/Europe
Live aid unfortunately didn't help them get the us back
84 thry released the worksuk no 2
Released 4 singles no 2.no 3. No 6.no 23
Freddie also released love kills
They did well with the tour but ditched the us
A few months before they performed to an audience of 300th in rio two nights
They had just finished their tour a month before live aid
The legend that is Brian May is I think best illustrated by the notion "Hm, I'm a rock legend, wrote number one songs, I can live off my interest rates, can make shows when I want where I want, but somehow, I think there should be more. You know what, that PhD in astrophysics I started ages ago - I think it's time to finish that!"
That afternoon Freddie was king of the world. Music ruled the world , and wasn't it f**ckin brilliant !
I have watched many, many reactions to this 22 minute concert, and I can safely say yours is the most natural and exciting at hearing songs you didn't know and those you did but didn't know it was Queen until now. A big thumbs up from Birmingham UK.
Most bands only got 20 minutes to show their stuff. Queen knocked it out the park.
They really did!👏🏼
One of the things I love about this performance, is whenever Brian is up for a solo, Freddie is either hyping him up, letting him take centre stage or pulling the crowd into the performance and it's magical to see.
Greatest performance of all time by the greatest band and the greatest performer. RIP Mr Mercury gone too soon.
Queen rehearsed this set so often they had it down perfectly. They went only TEN SECONDS over the allotted time. Amazing. Best ever.
Actually they ended their time slot to within a second. If you look carefully at the three 'traffic lights' at the front of the stage, the red light flashes when they are down to their last minute. You can see it turn solid red (end of allotted time) one second after Queen finish their performance.
There are several videos on UA-cam breaking down just how and why they were so good at Live Aid. I haven't seen them all but Wings of Pegasus has a good one.
@@thestarglider i've watched this set hundreds of times and never seen that before stu 👍 did you notice that brian walks into his mic stand right at the end of 'champions as he walks back from the edge of the stage! also ratty is putting tape onto freddie's mic stand during the end of bo rhap as radio ga ga is 15/20 seconds away, but of course he makes it! if you hav'nt seen it already you need to find 'the roadcrew and me' with ratty, it runs for 90 minutes and is a great watch 👑✊🇬🇧
Thank you for the reaction! Beatiful
Mercury
I was dancing and smiling right along with you today! Your joy is contagious!
Thank you!🙊😍
I remember having this event playing on the TV all day. I was watching some sets all along, and for others it was more like listening to it through the radio in the background while I tended to this & that, in and out of the room the TV was in, still engaged, but often passively.
But not when this began.
I liked Queen, but I hadn't been waiting for them in particular to come on stage. Even so, I was watching when they were announced, so I knew I was going to stick around and actually watch their set. I had no idea what I was about to experience.
I didn't just watch it; I laughed it, cried it, threw my arms in the air and cheered it, completely surrendered to it. I did the stomps. I did the claps. I did them from my living room, but I did them right with Wembley and the world.
Twenty or so minutes later, I knew I had just witnessed something legendary.
As great as the event was and so many of the artists were, to my heart and mind it got logged as the Queen show with the greatest list of opening acts ever.
Yes, unfortunately the appearance was too short. All artists had a fixed time for their performance. Queen had rented a concert hall in London and rehearsed the gig for Liveaid. They were the only ones who rehearsed their appearance down to the smallest detail. So it was the best gig on Liveaid.
R. I. P. Freddie
Watch for the red light coming on at the front of stage at the end, they were bang on their allotted time!
i remember watching this live on tv at my grandmothers house, it was amazing, and to think he was ill when he performed. he doctor advised him not to perform, so glad he did. if you like them, try someone to love live in Montreal.
He was I’ll when he performed?! Wow!!!
@@MorenikejiTaiwo yeah he was suffering from Laryngitis , and he was told not to sing but went against doctors orders and gave the best live performance ever , still never topped , now imagine this was his voice at 50% and gave that preformance 100% would have been mind blowing more than this one
💛 This is the best live act by a rockgroup, ever made. Totaly unique. Love Your channel, Mo! ❤️
Outstanding reaction Mo, as always. Freddie was so charismatic, when asked what instrument he liked to play best, his reply was "the audience, darling". Looking beautiful as always my dear, thanks for sharing with us.
Your face when you hear "We will rock you!" 😄
It’s a song I’ve always known, had no idea it was by Queen😂. Somehow, it doesn’t fail to take me by surprise still, lol.
1985 was a tough year for me. I lost two family members. This video was a good reminder of how much music helped me get through that period of my life.
Despite a transatlantic line-up laden with pop talent from over two decades, the buzz quickly went around that Queen were stealing Live Aid. The day itself was plagued with technical issues, from The Who taking out an important signal light at the front of the stage to Paul McCartney being rendered inaudible on 'Let it be', but it all came together for this moment. With the exception of 'Hammer to Fall' the setlist is a bundle of crowd-pleasing singles that can still be heard in sports venues today and led to a bit of a resurgence in their popularity in the late 1980s. And for Freddie it was going to be one final, productive push. He can never be replaced.
Yeah, well at that time a friend of my parents, was waiting for David Bowie and just wanted Queen to get it done :-) And I don't think Bowie was to glad to follow this... Or maybe? Have to check more Live Aid clips!
Hammer to Fall wasn’t a crowd pleasing single. It was a great single from their Works album...the most current in the charts at the time of the concert so the playlist covered their entire career.
I LOVE Hammer To Fall
@@sirjohnmara The story goes that Bowie was standing by the stage and after they exited he said to Freddie, "how the fuck am I supposed to follow that?"
I remember when this was on TV in Finland, live, and it was blown away. So many great performances but this one killed it. Just killed it. And Freddie had a throat infection. What a show. Once in a lifetime ✨️
this and u 2
We’re all gonna die one day but we lived and saw Queen and Freddie Mercury blast their way into the stratosphere for all of us. We shall not die in vain.
This was not a Queen concert, so the fact that many people who were there for the other bands and singers knew the words and did the clap for Radio Gaga took Freddie and the band by surprise. I enjoyed watching this with you!!
As someone who feels self conscious, when Freddie says we are all beautiful, it makes me feel a little more special ❤ we are all beautiful in God's eyes!!
If I were to be in the audience too, I’d have given such energy! I mean who wouldn’t😍
Yes yes, we all are beautiful in God’s eyes!💕
@@MorenikejiTaiwo there is no god
You are so adorable!! I loved this reaction!! Queen is absolutely my favorite band and I love how you were just smiling and dancing to it and how excited you got!! You’re just so cute
Such a good set. They were geniuses in so many ways.
I love your reaction to this amazing concert! Their music is so iconic, and they ruled the world with their performance in that internationally broadcast concert that day
Have a listen to Bohemian Rhapsody at the Green day concert in Hyde Park. You realise the depth of Freddie and Queens influence upon the planet. Freddie is the greatest ever.
30+ years gone and he is able to light your face with such joy and happiness. Thank you for sharing your beautiful reaction. You honour his memory.
I remember watching it in Canada on tv. Was such a special moment knowing Freddie was owning the stage, and the crowd.
Who else than Queen will walk on stage and start the show whit their no 1 hit, and one of the greatest hits of all time?
Live aid went live all around the world and it was a massive event on TV though the world just stopped and took a break with queen on stage.i still remember it,it was magical!❤️
Remember watching this live, we'll never see the likes of Queen and a few others ever again!
Keep sharing that beautiful smile of yours!
Wish you all the love and joy that you can handle in 2022! 🤗
What you must remember......they were told 18 MINUTES. That is it. Many bands were playing that day. And from first note to last note they literally were mere SECONDS over. It was an incredible performance. Speechless, is right.
I have never found anyone else that had such a perfect voice…..live performance…..we lost such a beautiful, gifted soul…we will always remember and miss you Freddie Mercury…RIP
Your genuine love and enthusiasm makes the whole reaction a fantastic time.Thank you
It's interesting that the guitar player is much more than a musician. He's actually a very highly educated astrophysicist.
All the members of Queen have degrees. I think the drummer is an electrician, Freddy in design etc
Freddie Mercury .. a refuge, born i Africa of indian parents who was a minorites called Parsies .. who again was refuges from Iran after the muslims made it imposible to be zoroastians. Freddie was a kind human who looked like a beathiful man, but had a womens soul. A brilliant musican who should makes us think about what it is to be a human beeng. We should not put people in boxes that divides us. And his coment to Live Aid ( hunger in east Afrika) ; there should not be a us or them - when it comes to starving. Then we are al obligated to help. Thanks fore nice reaction ! Best wishes from Norway
Greatest show on earth
Freddie Mercury,,,, G.O.A.T PREACH !!!!!
I am soooooo lucky to be able to say that I worked at Wembley Stadium for around 9 years and when Freddy
did his Performance I was around 25 feet fromhim....
It was ... E Ĺ E C T R I C.... awesome.
Lots of great live performances that day. But, Queen stole the show!
F***ing unbelievable voice and presence!
Nothing will beat Live Aid, the UK concert, then the USA concert. Magic times.
He is the epitome of humble. A BEAUTIFUL man to behold...On the outside, he is loved for his looks and fame...On the inside, his heart and compassion compare to no other. His beauty cannot be mimicked or stolen. He doesn't even know the legend that he is- that's what makes him extraordinary
I have watched many reaction videos of different people of today's young generation witnessing this performance for the first time. And among all of them, yours is the most genuinely joyful and emotional. Beautiful to watch. Thank you.
Watching this is like getting to see them in concert. I never got to! 😪
I remember seeing this concert on live tv. one of the most beautiful live🤗🤗🤗
The smile on your face for We will rock you and We are the Champions....just precious...keep it that way x
Legendary music. Legendary performance. Legendary men. Legendary ARTISTS.
This performance made me love rock.
Also, did you know that 'Radio Gaga' is where Lady Gaga got her name?
Great reaction !
He shows his power and his soft side all in this one performance love this choice !
Ah, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I was there on the day right at the front. The best 20 mins of live music ever x
Legendary, never anyone like this again!
💯!!!
Fun reaction. Yes, the set swings from high energy to emotional. No one does it better.
FYI they did an encore. Just Freddie, Brian & his 12 string. Perfection.
Interesting 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
@@MorenikejiTaiwo Yep, Freddie and Brian came back on right at the end of the show.
Video here - ua-cam.com/video/riwDo7_GxjM/v-deo.html
The name if the song was Is This the World We Created. You would think it was written for this but it was on a previous album. They played at about 9 o'clock. Absolutely stunning.
Lucky enough to be 16 in 1984 and feel blessed to have had Queen in my life since mid 70's thanks to older brothers . Even though you didn't know some songs you reacted just like a music fan and joined in ☺️. That's how Freddie would want it ❤️
Great reaction from a beautiful natural lady .
Best Performance ever!
When you hear of this guy for the first time. And see his stage presence, you know he's going to the top !
With a name like Freddy Mercury for sure.
You should check out the video Queen Rock Montreal! Queen did their own lighting in that one too
I watched this live on TV when I was 15. Have been a fan ever since. RIP Freddie. I’ve seen Queen and Adam twice and am going to see them twice this October. I’m an Adam Lambert fan and think he does a wonderful job fronting Queen. Loved watching this!!! Brings back memories
'We Are The Champions' is undoubtedly the most apt song ever for Queen! They threw down the challenge and to this day, no-one has taken it up!
A happy girl 😃 Nice! Freddie one of the greatest ever. Queen my old heroes.
Bless, Freddie was so ill. He had awful issues with a bad throat, his doctors told him not to perform.
BTW, they did one more song later on in the show.

@@jpw6893 " his doctors told him not to perform" - myth
When you are so emotionally involved with the performance it can hurt when it is over. I was at a live performance one day and after the concert nobody left until two encores which wasn't surprising and the performer left with a beautiful ballad that ended with a gentle vocal riff. The audience stayed repeating the vocal riff for twenty minutes after the concert ended because we didn't want the feeling to end. That was worth the price to be a part of.
Welcome to the best live performance in the history of music! Freddie Mercury was by far the best singer and showman of all time. He was advised not to perform here by doctors because he was having voice issues and wasn’t feeling well. He ignored them and delivered the best performance and what Queen’s finest moment was for their legacy. Great reactions! You should react to Queen’s live performance of “Love Of My Life” in 1986 from Wembley Stadium. The crowd is singing and Freddie’s vocals with Brian May’s guitar work were on fire.
Seriously, was this really 37 years ago. 😲 I remember this like it was yesterday. Freddie RIP you legend 🎼🎶
Don't know how I got here but found myself watching and crying along with you. What a performance and brought back memories.
Best performance of Live Aid on the day, glad you have seen it - All the Best in 2022 from Scotland!!!!
Yup! That's where those two songs come from. We are the Champions. We will, We will, Rock You!
My God the expression on your face is priceless.
Happy New Year Morenikeji. Thank you again for such a fun to watch reaction video. You made my day!
Your face is so pleasant to look at, I watched almost of their videos in diff channels, I'm not tired of it, I miss Queen so much, watching over and over again, live versions are more exciting than the studio version, lots of surprises, I tell you, thank you so much for the great reactions,
Always a pleasure to see a true master at work! Wether you like them or hate them, nobody with a brain can deny the fact that Queen is among the best bands of all time and Freddie Mercury is and always will be a legendary front man! That man was truly born for the stage
Freddie was an entertainer as well as a performer, he loved the crowd and his energy flowed through his performance
Such great times! Miss those days. Awesome 😎
freddie was the GREATEST SHOWMAN
This was live aid, i full 24 hour concert around the globe, bob geldof pulled it off, it was done in many capitaols around the world, considering there was no mobile phones, or internet, to raise money for africa. one of the greatest feats we have ever seen
I absolutely love the fact that Freddie was so much bigger than live aid he owned this audience as he did all of his crowds but Freddie had that unique ability to engage you to make himself look like a regular man in the street Freddie was a man of the people everything he did he done for his fans rip FM
I watched this performance many times. Gets me every time!🙏🏻❤️
I grew up with queen. I never watched them live, although I always liked their music. Now that Freddie is gone, I never realised how much I appreciated his talent. He hasn’t been replaced all these years later. It’s funny how we need to lose something to see what we really had, I think he really was one of a kind, I’m happy now but I miss the early 1980s and the community spirit we had back then
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why queen are the greatest rock group of all time
He was absolutely incredible, I can remember being a kid watching this live.
Also, she’s absolutely beautiful ☺️
