I decided to remove a comment from a garbage troll. The only reason I gave the original post any credence was due to it being in a non-English language. I did not want a non-English speaker to associate the poster's poor understanding of the goals and concepts in this video series with the information given here.
The map is used to pause the game while still seeing the screen. This allows you to confirm your positioning. It also is used to buffer your Neutron Bomb input for the set up. Refer to Alucard Advanced Techniques for map buffering and how exactly it works.
It takes time to learn many of them. These are also only for the PSX and XBLA versions of the game. Dracula X Chronicles, Saturn, and Requiem require different skips.
Mr3cman For Neutron Bomb, you need to bait the warg right once. For the Spell version, you need to bait him twice, and cast the spell during/soon after the growl. The warg's bite hitbox can negate the Neutron Bomb hitbox, so be mindful of that.
Scientific Method. It sounds silly, but 999/1000, that is totally it. Example (not necessarily true): "Stupid Wing Smash! Why won't you work!" *Does 5 WS inputs in a row quite fast in frustration. IWS occurs* "Wait a minute... what happened?" The big thing to note is with the advent of the internet to record and share more anomalies, better archiving of found tech, and generally having a better idea of where to look for problems in games, a video game will become broken extremely fast nowadays.
+Donovan Whedbee Understanding a major skip is important to being consistent in its execution. That being said, I do want to revisit this at some point to make it more concise.
once you zone into alchemy and zone back, slogra and gaibon are there and the switch for death is turned off for the rest of the game. Basically until you zone, just don't go back into death room
I'm trying to speed run this game and I have successfully just walked into the screen back dashed out and the scene with death is just skipped when i walk back in, I have done this twice like 2 out of 14 attempts, any idea how i did it. I don't remember leveling up before it and I definitely didn't use a spell or bomb, I just walked in back dashed out then walked back in.
That version of the skip is Dracula X Chronicles specific. I do not think it works on any other version. If it does, feel free to post a video and we will look into it.
thank you so much for this, ive been wanting to get back into sotn running (havent since fairy card strat was found) and its changed pretty much entirely with glitches that arent the easiest to just pick up and do
Hopefully the other videos can continue to be helpful. Make sure to watch all 3 videos concerning the Neutron Bomb Death Skip. All three are important and can save you a huge headache learning this skip.
i got it after 3 tries from this explanation, thx
Thank you very much for the explanation!!!
Make sure to watch all three videos for the Netron Bomb Version of the skip. It is easy with a little practice when you know what to look for.

Thx a lot! It's very effective.
Does the map show do something or what? and should I initiate the bomb before exiting the barrier ?

Nothing of these is working

I couldn't do it. the wolf was too far away for the spell to work

How do people figure this stuff out?

To be honest I like the way he explains things, it's more serious and has less unnecesary parts than other tutorials I have seen
This is not accurate for playstation version. Just fyi.
You can Death Skip a few ways on Playstation original release and re-release.
Awesome trick!, it might take some time but after getting the hang of it the setup is actually very simple ^^. Thank you very much for explaining it!
Take your time with it and make sure to watch the addendum video for extra information.
What happens if you go back to that area where Death is , later in the game? Because there is a heart max up item there

It was on the Dracula X chronicles. I assumed it would work on the ps1. Thanks for the help

Sword brothers has the same effect but no character freeze with a level 90 sword familiar
