Honestly, more reviews, please. Just hearing super practical reviews of gear from the top pro that’s probably tried. Everything is super valuable. Would love more content like this paul thank you
To fellow disc golfers: They will not warranty your shoe against toe drag. Mine actually came apart in less than a month and they refused the warranty (which I get), but just giving y'all a heads up. Edit: The vessi were very comfortable and I actually liked how they looked. For longevity, I'd recommend the quality of Keens or Vivos over anything. I'm very hard on shoes and was going through a pair per month. These two brands make excellent quality that'll last 2x what I've experienced with several different types of the high end waterproof/water-resistant shoes of Brooks, Vessi, Merrell, Salomon, Columbia, and Adidas.
@@sologuitar100 I'd say they're pretty standard when it comes to concrete. I drag my toe a little and my toe box comes apart in a few weeks. I've definitely had better luck with the rubber on the Vivo and Keen shoes. They seem to be made of more abrasive resistant material. I'd totally recommend them for comfort, even at the price point, but I actually like Brooks or Adidas boosts when it comes to non-weather resistant DG shoes. The heel and toe drop on the Vessi isn't bad, though.
I’ve had the stormburst high tops for about a year now and they are super comfortable and still in great shape after over 100 rounds. The waterproofing on them is top notch and I would definitely recommend them to anyone out there
@@adambroussard8192 Zero drop wide toe boxes are great for flat walking, but bad for elevation changes. Uphills the calf muscle over extends causing early fatigue, down hill the lack of arch support causes toes to smash into the toe cap. I'm a shoe nerd and hike Colorado mountains weekly. Zero drop are not good for hiking
I’ve had my Vessis for over a year maybe two and they are still in great shape. I may only play once a week and don’t really have a toe drag to worry about but I’m super impressed by them. I also used them during the entire event of tour championship for two years. As a spectator that’s a ton of walking for 4 days straight and no issues. Would highly recommended.
I was looking at these last week just by Isaac having the branding on his jersey and debating on getting them , but bang you make this video! Here’s your sign lol just purchased the black on black
I've worn the high top Stormbursts for the last 2 years, playing disc golf in Denver year-round. The tread is still good, but my forehand toe drag blew out the toe just this month. I'll be getting more pairs of Stormbursts as I wear them every day.
I have two pairs of Vessis, the Stormburst low and the Tidal Sneaker. I like the Tidals more than the Stormbursts because they didn't have half sizes when I bought the Stormbursts, but they do in the Tidals. The Tidals have a less aggressive outsole, but I find them plenty grippy.
id like to see how the new ones wear in say a month. had a pair 2 years ago and they stopped being waterproof within 3 weeks of disc golf use only in the land of dirt and grass tee pads🤣
I want to get a pair of these, my idios have a hole in the side after 3 years and never were that waterproof. I need something that is going to not get soaked in the morning dew in the summer.
I'm curious to see how long they last you. Ive always struggled with shoes because I drag my toe. I tried Solomon speed cross 6 and they only lasted 3 months before the toe ripped off, at $300nzd a pair I'm not willing to try them again.
I can't recommend merrell's enough. I can't speak for the trail runners. But the hiking boots last over 2 years and 500 miles on all terrain and season's! I've been curious about vesy's? Nice to hear some reassurance from paul
Why does nobody ask how hot they are? Being fully waterproof if your feet sweat at all you will be walking in puddles all day. This is my biggest concern.
They breath more than I expected with the waterproofness. I don't feel like my feet have ever been swimming the past two years, and my feet sweat no matter what I wear. I don't like wearing them with super synthetic socks, though. Wool works great in them
I thought to buy some Vessi shoes especially because, I need waterproof shoes where I play (lonely almost ever)... but they don't sell directly in Italy and the Italian shops online that say they are Vessi vendor aren't recognized by USA Vessi... It's a pity...
Shoes break fast.. these are expensive.. Vessi designs its footwear in Vancouver, Canada, and manufactures its shoes in Taiwan, China, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Why don't they make them in Canada? Hmmm..
No mention of ventilation, width, lift, durability. Seems more like a low quality commercial for something Jomez is trying so hard to cram down golfers throats. It’s not like Vessi is a dg company just because they pay for ad time. Also, wearing a shoe for a day and doing a review isn’t helping anyone make real life decisions. 5 out of 5? Come on, dude. Sure you won’t be wearing them because they cut you a check?

i'd pry go with vans mte ultrarange for disc golf. you get all of the features of the vessi for 1/4 or 1/3 of the price, plus a toe cap protection
Thanks I was gonna ask about how they stay together sliding against concrete.

Wish they made a wide toe zero drop style shoe.

I’ve been looking into widetoe zero drop shoes. Any favorites?
@@justinbutler8418vivobarefoot. Altra lone peak aren’t zero drop, i think, but they’re very good.
Sounds like you are describing a clown shoe ? 🎉
@@torchCERVANTESNo, it sounds like you have small feet. Sorry to hear about that.
Like this style of review! Nice vid.
My concern would be the durability. How long do they last is the big question.
FWIW someone on Reddit awhile back said theirs fell apart pretty quick.

Paul you’re the man 🙏🏻
Appreciate the review. Definitely gonna give them a try. I’m sick of my current shoes not being waterproof after a month of playing.

Iv heard they are inconsistent on waterproofing.

They are advertised as super waterproof and you didnt touch on that once, can you do a little update? :D

These are much better than gore-tex when it comes to keeping my feet dry!
How do you foresee them holding up against twigglies rubbing and poking?

Answering some burning questions!
Paul didn’t mention weight at all. Anyone have any idea how these stack up in the overall weight catagory? (Specifically the high tops)
two year-old size M14 high tops are 543g each

I haven't been following a ton, what's up with all the lefty stuff recently?

Damn your supposed to wear shoes while you play, maybe thats where im going wrong. 😂
Almodt ordered them but the look is subpar. At some point ill try em just for functionality.
Never had a pair of waterproof DG shoes that didn't leak when walking through wet grass. Keen was the worst.
Hope your arm is feeling better sir happy holidays to you and the family 🦃🌲🌲🏝
Rookie score. What happens if you get a shoe that is better than this now but you already give this one a perfect score?
I’m a adult I can just change my mind lol
Gotta be the dumbest comment I’ve read in awhile
just bought a pair of these shoe waiting on them to get here
anyone have the jomez discount code for vessi? I wanna order some of these
Review after one round? Did I get this right?
yea I’m a little skeptical myself. He must be working on a Sponsorship with them if he hasn’t already. Although he did tell the truth about the look.
You weren't wearing them.... that was Greg!!

Support disc golf companies and try Idios!
Indeed!! Idio have the best disc golf shoes on the marked. Actually developed for the sport!
Odd decision to try to copy the Vans Jazz Line on the side of the shoe. Seems like an obvious legal battle in the near future.
Nah it's different enough
Paul, these aint far as good as Idio shoes. Just sayin

The chems used to make these shoes are sooooooo bad for humans and nature. Unless you are getting a bag. You gotta denounce.
Ugly.... not wide. No zero drop. Those shoes are horrible
