I really disliked when he first began self-describing his channel as “The dumbest automotive channel in all of UA-cam”. It’s like giving yourself a nickname. Yes, I’m still here, but definitely not as often. and I do try to skip to after when he says that. He seems like a genuine fella - clickbait titles and a.bit of fakery notwithstanding - but I do kinda long for the early days.
@@dangrass UA-cam is not his only gig. If you have followed the channel for a while he also has multiple Freddies locations. Not sure if that sold during the "life change" or not. Likely not is my guess, but he had to spend a good amount to buy her out.
J&J Auto Wrecking is the shit. I’d recommend them all day every day. I bought damn near an entire side of a car from them (doors and fender). It was the same paint code as my car, matched perfectly, and was packed with care on a beautiful custom pallet and arrived fast. J&J FTW.
Nice man! Shame that 90% of breakers will not put a single thought into it. Will damage the parts while they are taking them apart, will use the cheapest packing material if any. And after all of that, will refuse any sort of return, even though they ship a part to you which is far from what was advertised.
I love my 84 Buick. Just rolled over 200,000 miles. Parts are readily available, I can do most repairs myself. I will never understand the appeal of a vehicle who's repair costs are more than what I paid for this and my 25 year old Tacoma, including parts for both of them. Practical, great at cruising and doesn't break the bank all while I still look and more importantly feel good doing it. I still plan on having both of them in 20 years. Wonder how many Teslas, specifically cyberstucks, will be in Salvage yards by that time? So many modern vehicles are similar to phones. Parts and more importantly labor are so prohibitavely expensive to fix them it's almost cheaper to just buy a new car for most. A friend of mine was trying to get a new catalytic converter for a toyota camry. Garage kept trying to charge her $1500. For a 2001 Camry. Is it made of gold or something?
This is humanitarian level stuff. This guy knows he's buying vehicles that will likely blow up on him, they do, he fixes them properly, and then sells a bunch of them at a loss pretty much 100% of the time. He is saving vehicles that would be in the junkyard otherwise, and I am grateful for what he does and glad he can make a living doing it.
I have to say, the home addition, shop and pond area all coming along so nice! The pond I'm kind of blown away with seeing it now. What a difference. And the house, that's a great looking addition.

I know enough about pre-2013 Mercedes to know one thing: They’re like a Maserati, except they are repairable, and for much less, generally. Also, their interiors were designed by more than one person, who were sober, in more than 30 minutes and isn’t built from Fiat/Lancia leftovers.😂 Seriously tho, what happened to your Benz and what model/year was it?
@@juki6377 ninja once said on one of Hoovie's videos that his business is going pretty good, and his clients keep coming to him. I guess owners of European cars in the USA are wealthier than the same owners here in Europe. We have to repair and work on these piles but we cannot complaint or overcharge because these are just normal everyday cars here, there are no other cars. Japanese cars are very hard to find parts for and American cars are almost nonexistent. Owning a Civic or an Accord in Europe is as expensive as a BMW, and you guessed it, no one is buying a Honda at the same price as an Audi or BMW, damned be reliability. Cannot comment on Korean cars, we do not service those and they usually scrap them when out of warranty.
@@Abe_Sheen yeah I made that mistake overseas thinking you can find Merc parts behind a bush, nope... While Japanese cars were way cheaper. In more recent years though those German brands are all plastic and overly complicated, would not touch them anywhere on the globe

@tati-anaroseee4316 the point I'm trying to make is even cheap reliable cars really are a scam. It felt like I rarely escaped a shop for less than $1500 and believe you me, it hurt! I sold it after a year because I just couldn't afford to keep the thing running (let alone nice). Hoovie…. You can absolutely get a renovation loan to finish your house. We just do a “subject to completion” appraisal. You just need a contract with a General Contractor with all the work you are going to have completed; and then the appraiser uses that contract to give value to the completed home. Just go to a small local bank.
It isn't as easy for unconventional people anymore especially when they have debt and cashflow problems. That property is most likely all in trusts and entities. Everything he owns probably is. It gets complicated and the banks want people that walk in with a simple W2 and not a complicated web of trusts and companies and accounts and you have to explain how it all works and convince them you really do own it all. They always want you to personally guarantee it and usually the entire point of all of it is to minimize your personal taxable income.

I also own😅 2 2000 4Runners and a 2010 GX460. Of course the newest GX has had the most problems but still a reliable car for most owners. The problem is people think Toyota/Lexus is “boring.”
I appreciate Hoovies demeanor, seems like a real person. Even though hes financially proficient, he doesnt appear to have the "Main Character" syndrome. One example, his reaction at 8:00 LOL, the wild eyes of fright, internal organs collapsing, trying to form words that just come out as strangled grunts. Even if its a bit staged, thats how a regular person might react in that situation. And the guy wears jeans and a t-shirt. Maybe its fake IDK, but its one of the reasons I watch the channel.
Stay gold.
It is because it costs him nothing. His video will pay for the bill. I find his content is decreasing in quality. Not like it was years ago. This will be the last video of his I watch. I do like the Wizard though.
It's all fake. He doesn't lose money. A has family money to fall back on. Pretty much all of UA-cam but the sheep masses drink it up! Weird
He can definitely afford it all but still, a $30k hit in just repair bills alone is definitely an annoyance to anyone who isn't making under 8 figs
@@rndmprsn3532 he's obviously generational money, he's the country club type.
@@y0usef They are all in business together, you have no idea if those bills are real, like someone else said, this is just a TV show.
Hoovie thought the last bill was bad 😂
Min 20:35,i have 13-14 cats.No owners.they die if i do not.and i know are not dieing, but the right eyes of a cat,is the most important thing to me.I know them for years.Today,i was buying for them,80% of my money.Like every day.
Buddy of mine told me and some other friends back in 2008 "I gotta stop doing stupid shit"......time to take his advice.
The shot of the rainbow over the farm must make you feel like it’s all worth it in the end
...how and why could it possibly mean that...?...
There's no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. 😢
I hope people are learning from your mistakes and know your doing this for our benefit 🙏
They said: _"Be quiet and don't worry, it could be worse"_ -
*I didn't worry, I was quiet and it got worse!*
Money would be better spent finding an old muscle car and doing a resto mod..I would love to see the wizard spend your money that way instead. At least you would have a car that would actually be worth something after. Unlike the LR.
Note to myself: "Never buy a used Maserati, Range Rover, and a Bentley... as demonstrated by Tyler, is a terrible idea" but very educational for all of us and for that we thank you!
Dude... Hoovie... I love ya, man, but at some point you've got to cut your losses... That Maserati is crap. It was manufactured as crap and when it goes to the scrap yard, it'll still be crap. I have a soft spot for the oddities, too... I'd love to have an old Volare or a Laguna. Maybe a Vector. Something kooky. That Masi is just... the worst. Also... as much as I love the Bentley, the Merc is just a better, all-around car. My vote is for the Bentley to go. Love ya, man! Keep your head up!
Its kind of like telling a meth head to just stop doing meth. He’s a drug dealer that’s to addicted to his own stuff in this case making horrible decisions when buying vehicles
I think they roasted Ed Bolian on Car Trek about one in a skit, "Friends don't let friends buy a Maserati"
The crappier the better, gets him more views, makes him even more money. It's a great act he's putting on.
