- A 2 hour show which I filmed myself back in 1994 in "De Stadsschouwburg in Maastricht", cool gig with Hilary Jones on drums in stead of Kirk Covington, and she did a GREAT job here. Good memories.

I actually prefer Scott's tone here as opposed to his current tone. Really smooth sounding and still quite big!

One of the best Tribal Tech concerts
Yep, they played the same repertoire (except from Black Cherry. Guess it's because a guy called for Torque (the tune coming after Black Cherry on the Illicit album) all the time) with the same crew in probably same year in the famous Jazz House "Montmartre", later named "Copenhagen Jazz House". We (me and the guys I used to play with) also saw them in Pumpehuset in Copenhagen. At that occasion with Joey Jordison on drums instead of Joey Heredia. And as far as I remember it was with David Goldblatt and not Scott Kinsey on keyboards. The two best concerts of my life and I've seen all the great Jazz/Jazz Fusion bands starting in the late 60's with Coreas Return To Forever. Before that it was so called "Modern Jazz" (Coltrane, Gillespie, Miles Davis, Joe Pass, Stan Getz, Niels Henning Ørsted Pedersen and that kind of names/musicians).

I looked up Hilary Jones on Wikipedia and got: USS Hilary Jones ! …a Benson-class destroyer in the US Navy during WW II …..here she is destroying the drums ,really holding her own!! I’m impressed…John from Marin..I’ve got all the TT albums, you should collect all of them, too.

Great to see Hilary playing with this band. She was in the Bay Area for awhile and did the right thing moving to LA where she blew up and played with one of the best bands on the planet .. and here it is.

Holy smokes…I have never heard of Hilary before, but I do know this band and music very well. She did exceptionally well…what a beast 😊

I didn't film this for you my dear but for myself, but from where I sat back then, Scott Kinsey's face was right behind the keyboard- stand, furthermore I'm more interested in drummers than keyboard players. I think your remark is rather ungrateful, I could have kept these recordings to myself and not bother to post it at all.

It has been well known in the industry that she is off the deep end with her views. I would tell you to look up her Twitter account for more proof but she either deleted it or Twitter deleted it right around the time of her comments. If you can't see how racist this one statement is then I guess that makes you a racist too.

LOL, well, from where i was filming i couldn't see Kinsey's face coz it was blocked by the keyboard-stand, which was quite annoying. So i focused more on the rest of the band.
That drummer's not too good. She was getting ahead of the beat a lot. You could really hear it at 26:54 . Scott didnt look too happy. He kept looking at her.

I think you’re not seeing that right. She is crushing the Hot For Teacher beat and seems very steady. Scott seems to be looking at Gary, giving him a visual cue, like, “ok we’re going to the coda.” Plus he ends the tune with a big smile.
