THANK YOU VERY MUCH BROTHER!!! i just bought the same tank and i have a 4gpm and i been scratching my head on how to plumb it please please please make another video on this setup along with any tips and mistakes and it working in the field
Gold!! I'm so glad you posted this video, the step by step instructions will help me so much! I just bought a 4gpm minute pressure washer and am trying to get everything set up so this makes everything much more clear. Question tho. How many liters is your buffer water tank in this video.. ? Would 100Litre set up be enough? I'm trying to get set up in a van and not much space to play with. Thanks.
great video bro! I have a question... I have the same pressure washer and I run a small 2 foot garden hose for a bypass dump so when I'm not on the trigger but water isn't building up at the pump it's just dumping on the ground ..do you have that set up to flow back into your tank? I guess I'm just trying to figure out when I set my trailer up like yours will I still have to run a dump line
I currently have the dump valve looped back around to the pump. I was considering a dump into the feed tank but I mostly run from customers hose directly anyway so it didn't make sense to me.
you can run a return to the tank, for me I did not because I was not losing enough water to make it worth the return. I rarely do not have access to a hose bib on location.
I've found quite a bit of information online about installing a buffer tank. The general rule of thumb is to use a 1" feed line on a machine the size of yours. Hope that helps. PWP had complete installation kits for sale on their website, included in the photos are diagrams of best known practices on installing a buffer tank. This allows you to pick up what you need at your local plumbing store
That’s a pretty good setup man, I ran something similar on my gravity-fed water tank. But the problem I faced right away was poor flow, due to the fact that I was using one of those Y splitters and then an actual water bib. The inside diameter of the water bib reduced water flow by a lot. So I changed it to a 3/4” fitting and hose all the way to the pressure washer and bam, problem solved. Good video presentation 👍
I may be overthinking but would it be better to put the filter after the ball valve just in case you had to change or clean the filter, you could just shut off the valve with out draining the tank? Or perhaps it doesn't matter.
I have a Pressure Pro 4000 PSI 4 gpm AR pump. Bye hooking it up this way will I be able to put the wand down for at least five minutes without overheating the pump? Is it recirculating the water through the tank to keep the pump cool? Could you send me a list of all the parts that you used and sizes if this will work for what I’m looking to do with my pressure washer and that’s as I indicated above recirculating the water. By the way great video. Thanks
it looks very awesone and simple... i have a 4gpm pressure washer i dont use a tank i would like to do this sometime i dont get good pressure from houses so does this setup give u the flow of water that ur presdure washer needs or need to add a pump?
yes. buffer tanks are necessary for pressure washer if your inlet connection doesn't have sufficient pressure. otherwise your pressure washer will cavitate and get destroyed in no time
How well did that set up work. I have problems getting mine to build pressure off a tank and also have trouble with air getting in the line even though it is feeding off a 300 gallon tank.
The fitting between the Hudson valve and banjo fitting, where did you get it? I have found several, but the banjo fitting does not accept this side of the thread that suppose to go in. It’s like it has to be a right hand thread for that side because the thread pitch is straight through on the banjo
I understand the purpose of the in-line filter exiting the tank and going to your pressure washer but what is the purpose of the ball valve shutoff immediately after that? Are you intending on splitting into another line somewhere?
Thanks for your video..Very informative. I did try setting it up this way but not drawing enough water. You have a 1" bulk head coming out but mine is only 3/4" and doesnt seem to draw the water. I have a 4000 psi 4gpm.. Would going from 3/4 to 1" bulkhead make any difference? Thanks so much..Tom
morris4morris I made a mistake and said harbor freight. The tank is acually from tractor supply company. 65gal, and get yourself some good straps to attach to the trailer.
I live just north of Columbus in Ohio and just bought a new 4400 psi 4 GPM Pressure Washer. Where is the best place to buy my downstream injector and bypass at? Also where do I get a tank and hutson flow valve at?
little mike951 the buffer tank for me is only used when my customer has a water flow that is not enough to properly feed my pressure washer. 90% of the time I run straight out of my customers hose connections after a small filter I carry. That really depends on your area and what type of water your customers have (city or well).
Juan Serna you may need to elevate the tank more for the gravity feed to work. Depending on the type of machine and pump it may not pull from sitting water.
Kirshy's Professional Services yea that what my buddy was telling me that my pressure washer probably ain't got enough pull. He suggested getting a small transfer pump instead of going out and buying a brand new pressure washer. I just wanted a second opinion before going out and buying a small pump. Thanks
mett weel I bought a small transfer pump cause I couldn't get no pull, which idk y I seen a few work great with small pressure washer like mine, hopefully it works for you
Can you upload some links for those items?
The most informative video I have seen on the plumbing.
Thank you very much!

Thanks for posting this I was racking my brain trying to put the puzzle together. Much appreciated!!
Great information thanks. Also I agree with putting the ball valve first before the filter

Can you do a parts list where you buy everything
i appreciate you posting this. you saved me a headache. best of luck to you in business.
Need the ball valve before the filter coming out of the tank, cause how will you unclog filter without draining the tank first?
gettinrings thanks for the tip, I did move the ball valve very shortly after this vid. I have the updated video with the correct ball valve setup.
Yes, I have since switched it.
And should replace the 90* fitting with a T fitting plus ball valve so you can dump water from the tank when needed
@@KirshysProfessionalServices where did you get that filter?

I dont think you understand how helpful and scarce a video like this is! Quick question, where did you get those components, adapters and valve from?

1/2 by 3/4 if post link adapter?
Hello I wanted to know can you make a part list of what you had use
So three years ago, you made your first buffer tank! Great video! Are you still kickin?
Great info. Where did you find your filter.
I may be overthinking but would it be better to put the filter after the ball valve just in case you had to change or clean the filter, you could just shut off the valve with out draining the tank? Or perhaps it doesn't matter.

Hey man thank you so very much!! Your right, there’s not much online on how to set this up.
Appreciate you 😎

yes. buffer tanks are necessary for pressure washer if your inlet connection doesn't have sufficient pressure. otherwise your pressure washer will cavitate and get destroyed in no time
Can u give a link to where u got all these products ? Or where u picked them up
Awesome video appreciate it!
Increase the size of the hose to the pump. Flow is king. You can never have too much inlet flow, but you can starve it.
slim439 thanks for the tip, I will be doing that next season. Most of the time I am running straight from the customers water.
How well did that set up work. I have problems getting mine to build pressure off a tank and also have trouble with air getting in the line even though it is feeding off a 300 gallon tank.

where did you get those filters
thank you so much, I couldn't find anything on a proper set up
I understand the purpose of the in-line filter exiting the tank and going to your pressure washer but what is the purpose of the ball valve shutoff immediately after that? Are you intending on splitting into another line somewhere?
Where did you buy all the fittings and filters
philzie1173 some were bought at Home Depot and some just on amazon. I found you can find most if not all on amazon.
Amazon, Tractor Supply Company
Can you tell me where you found the 1" inline filter?
Thank you for this very informative and excellently explained video.
Wow well said straight to the point nice vid good luck out there and continued success
Thoughtful video.. I wish you well.
Most helpful 👏!!
Thank you

is you black outlet that's connected to the tank a 3/4 inch?
do you have to buy all of those separately?
If you can find a tank already with fittings then no but in my experience for a decent price you will need to piece it together.
Does buffer tank need to sit higher
Cant find the filter on amazon how did you look it up on their
Awesome! There is hardly any info on this out there. Thank you.
thank you for the video period question. Where did you get the filter from Lowe's did not have it.
Ivan Azcue most of the filters you can buy on amazon
What kind of water hose is that
If you have 55 gallon buffer tank Do you need float valve to fill or can just run water to tank with hose. Just keep it running
Where did you say you bought the tank? I can't find them on Harbor Freight...
morris4morris tractor supply co sells the exact tank
morris4morris I made a mistake and said harbor freight. The tank is acually from tractor supply company. 65gal, and get yourself some good straps to attach to the trailer.
Great video, where can i get an inline filter?
Amazon
Kirshy's Professional Services do I need to have inline filter? And what is it for?
Is the float valve needed?
If you don't have the float valve and the water into the tank doesn't stop it will overflow.
what’s that fitting called? The one that connects to the pressure washer.
Please put items list and cost and we're u got the items
Really good video Sir...
What are the names of the parts?
Where did you get your float valve from?
Amazon.com
Hudson Valve V Hudson Tank Valve for Livestock www.amazon.com/dp/B000H5T76Q/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_glNBAbXCEQJF0
Great video
You got that at harbor freight?? Can you put a link where you got it I can’t find and how many gallons?
Which filter did u use on amazon ? I can’t find it anywhere
Excellent video
Wow thank you answered all my questions
how do you prime the pressure washer.

did you end up switching the ball valve before the filter yet? :)
Mike Dorsett yes I did, although my new filter is on order at this current time.
How would I find the filter on Amazon I have the same tank as you and am trying to set it up thanks for ur time
SL CERTIFIED Did you find the filter?
And do you like it
great video, I was always wondering why cant people just plug there pressure washer to there garden hose

Kirshy's Professional Services okay that makes sense, thanks for the video and helping me understand how pressure washing equipment work. :)
Thanks needed this
great video!!thanks a lot ! also im going to suscribe really!!
I can't find that filter on amazon
So your not using water pump
Will this work on a ryobi 3000 psi gas , with no pump?
As far as the water flow it should be fine if you have a decent gravity fed set up. Belt drive pumps tend to pull water a little better.
thank you. I need this video!
I can't seem to get any pressure to my pressure washer from my tank I done had to re run everything like three times
Juan Serna you may need to elevate the tank more for the gravity feed to work. Depending on the type of machine and pump it may not pull from sitting water.

im lookin to get a small electric pressure washer and have the tank elevated in the back of my hatchback i hope it works
mett weel I bought a small transfer pump cause I couldn't get no pull, which idk y I seen a few work great with small pressure washer like mine, hopefully it works for you

That hose coming out the the tank is too thin. You need a thicker one.

Thank you

my harbor freight doesn't care these tanks....
fabian Sanchez you should be able to find the tank online at Tractor Supply Company
