Polaris Sportsman 570 ATV Plows 12 Inches Without A Problem, And This Time I Angle The Plow!

- Here is some footage of my Polaris Sportsman ATV plowing about 12 inches of snow during a recent snow storm in NJ. It had more than enough power and cleaned up the driveway quickly. This time I actually put the plow on an angle to make life even easier. I have the Polaris Glacier 60".

as long as the snow is off my driveway. ha. everyone keeps telling me to put some pvc on the bottom of the plow.

Hope that plow worked well for you. Mine's been putting in a little work this winter.
@@DadTechTV regrettably I leaned over the front from the seat, somehow pulled off the winch switch cover, putting the winch in full rewind and now it's stuck and will not move. Sigh.
@@bobhawkey3783 oh man, sorry to hear. have you tried attaching another cable to the winch hook, put the other cable around a tree or something solid, releasing the winch, and then putting the atv in reverse to try to get it unstuck?

👍🏻. Am planning on getting 450 in few months. 52 glacier too. Looking forward to plowing next year and especially hunting n not having to drag Buck uphill 1/2 mile to truck anymore

@@lymannewton7261 ended up w Honda Rubicon 500 dct/eps. Got 50 in plow…. 3000 sq ft paved driveway. Perfect 👍🏻
That’s a 60 in plow I just ordered mine and went with a 52 in do you think it is to small when I go to angle it
When I was buying mine, they told me that the 52", when angled, is the perfect size to plow sidewalks. I opted for the 60" since I do not have any sidewalks to plow.

I actually do my one neighbors driveway. This setup makes quick work of it.

No moving the snow at an angle saved you time so you wouldn’t have to do the same job twice. Happens to all of us

Would other atv plows have the option to angle?
there are many options out there and many of them can be angled. If you spend a lot of money you can actually get ones you can control the angle from a switch.
Did the atv have any power problems at all.
no problems at all. it's a beast.

Yes this has the power steering.

Correct. Stock tires that came with it.
@@DadTechTV damn man..bought an acreage with long asphalt driveway. Been wanting quad for fun/hunting but this surprising driveway clearing capability just sealed deal. And keep the mrs off my back for the missing 10k😀.

Maybe some tire chains would be helpful.
tire chains would prevent additional slipping, but so far i haven't had that need yet. Even with some big storms, the stock tires with no chains have done well for me.
I plow with a Cat 350 4x4 without chains, I think chain may help break,bend something on the plow/wheeler

Synthetic or cable on the winch.
I have regular cable. I can see where it can get pinched, but I haven't swapped out for synthetic yet. Future upgrade!

Slide on a two inch PVC pipe on the cutting edge, and ask your lawn's forgiveness.
I've been meaning to do this. My lawn is not so happy with me!

@@lenphelps8414 That is what some people do. I have not done it yet, so cannot give feedback. I have also heard that using PEX works well if that is easier to get than PVC.
Just raise the skids if your scraping the lawn. You'll have a skating rink if you use pvc
