Golf is still less fucked than that Ferrari. It 100% needs restoring to factory spec maybe a bit lower than factory on some nice wheels.

Its a rusty sh*tbox, it looks worse than Rorys MINI, and will probably cost more just to get it through an MOT
WTF no it's not 😂 The Ferrari has almost all the parts, the engine runs and the bodywork is fine. Plus you could strip it for parts. The Golf is so bad you could barely sell anything off of it.

I love how these guys have really moved up in the world since leaving Car Throttle. No more ropey old Mk2 Golfs for them - they're now touring around in a ropey old Mk3 Golf.
I truly believe one day they can work up to a ropey old Mk4. Maybe even the Cabriolet.
the cabriolet would really offer some more head room for when they inevitably have to sleep in it.

I'm finding your videos really refreshing. You have a theme for each one and you stick to it without resorting to contrived (Alex) crap. You're both genuinely funny, normal blokes having a laugh - it's really compelling. You sprinkle personal details in that reinforce the normality of it. The volcano video in Iceland was extraordinarily good and then you release this one. It's intelligent film making and I love it.

I love to see more of this car. It has most of the standard Golf mk3 issues like the saggy headliner, evaporated blower foam and rust! Rust is a very mk3 thing.
I love driving my own Mk3 Variant (wagon) and took it on a vacation to Sweden last year (from the Netherlands).
The thing has been in the family ever since it was 4 months old and is still going strong (with some help/semi restorations)
This is quickly becoming my favourite automotive channel. Wish you could crank out the videos faster!
Growing up I knew a few people whose parents had those Golfs and they lasted forever. You need to find a way to preserve it, but maybe spend as little as possible to keep it safe and running. See how long you can keep it going and for how little money.
