just ordered myself black one and this really helped me alot im 180cm 71KG and wasnt sure what size to buy so i could layered it up and thanks to this video i bought medium thanks alot man haha
nice comparison! I am 173 in height, 87kg. I got the Carhartt Bartlett in Medium and it fits me well. I just ordered the detroit in medium aswell and still on the way. Yes, Large is good for layering if you're gonna layer everytime. Large is a bit baggy as well as in the arms.....In the end if you want to look good and a carharrt that fits good I would go on Medium. And get another one in size large for layering purpose.
@@picanha694 I got both medium size of Bartlett and Detroit in relaxed fit….medium detroit is a bit smaller than the medium bartlett….my waist is 34 and medium is a good fit but not for layering… I think Large would do as well just a bit room to move.

I'm roughly the same build and I do feel like the medium is the better looking fit for me as well, I just wish they'd give us a little more room around the middle. I really wish they'd just make the OG fit with blanket lining or something besides the thick quilted padding. great for winter but i need a spring jacket!

@@CockatooandTucan the one he's trying on is regular WIP, not WIP OG. to my knowledge the OG fit versions always come with quilted black padding inside, not blanket lining. I would say the OG fit is indeed more like the US version-boxier, roomier-except the sizing is smaller (medium OG fit = roughly large US carhartt fit).

the fit, the materials. aside from the god forsaken zippers WIP chooses to keep using, i would say the materials are just better on WIP-particularly the lining. and the fits not just slimmer on WIP, it's better fitting. regular carhartt detroit jacket has a ton of room in the upper arms and the newer ones in particular fit like ass in my opinion.
@@gepettowinsI’ve had carhartt WIP zippers fall off I ended up having to bend the zipper body with needle nose pliers to make sure they don’t fall off again because carhartt WIP does not make replacement zippers

The wip jacket comes in a slimer fit but they also make the og version which is more similar to the J97
